Nick, your having to much fun. I still have my almost done prototype of fog light bezels. Even if made black plastic, there's some almost perfect chrome paint to use. Molotow and Spaz stix paint.
Looking to make some emblems as my first project...was about to buy 3D printer and then saw your video with the resin printer. Is that the best way to go for emblems, in your opinion? Yours looked like it came out super smooth. Thanks!
@@EndMotive There is a badge I have in mind - it doesnt have the same sharp 3D features that yours did - it's more rounded script-like letters. Any suggestions for getting a smooth finish on something like that? I'm looking hard at Elegoo right now so just trying to get my "plan" together.
@@doingcarthings The resin part will come out smooth and ready to go with minimal clean up, FDM....I would probably use abs or ASA and then vapor smooth it.
@@brandy292878 lol, Unfortunately it wouldn't help very much. Both of those parts would take a fair bit of accuracy to fit correctly....I will see if I can find someone locally that has one I can scan possibly.
Aye brother would you be interested or willing to make an emblem file for me? I have a printer but I’m not familiar with making my own things, I’m just printing things I like on thingiverse! I need help lol
True, but they aren't exactly worth the effort for me either though. You can buy one from Nissan, but it is expensive as well....I may end up making some of these in the future though.
That’s badass . Love the look of that emblem
I love the wax paper idea! You definitely are making me want to do some custom emblems using my 3D printer now. Excellent video!
Thank you! Yeah wax paper worked great for this....double sided tape is still a pain though
Huge improvement
Thanks!

Great job! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks!
Very good
Thanks!
Looks great!! I’m gonna try making some “XTRA DUTY” badges for my Titan XD. Wish me luck.
Thanks!
Hell yeah!
Oh hell yeah!
@@EndMotive we are 100% collaborating this year. Too many ideas!
I'm down! Just let me know
is it possible to do the same for a steering wheel emblem?
Yeah its definitely possible!
Neat!
Nice job! Would you be able to create an all black "desert runner" emblem as well?
Yeah, I'm thinking about selling the .stl file so you can print these yourself if there is any interest in them.
@@EndMotive also selling the black Letter for the D in desert and R in runner would be cool...I'd be interested
What is the name of modeling software?
Fusion 360
I got a bit lost, it looks like you made the emblem in resin originally. But later on it looks like you printed it with pla?
I printed a PLA template to cut the adhesive so it will be slightly smaller than the emblem itself.

I would definitely recommend resin for badges but it can be done with fdm if you are patient enough.

Can you make a pair of fog light ducts & a passenger side cowl for my Nissan 300zx z32 & how much would you charge ?
It would be possible, Where are you located? I don't have access to a 300zx for scanning/modeling. Hard to say cost right now.
@@EndMotive I’m from Phoenix, but I could send you pictures with measurements if that would help lol

How to bevel oval letters ?
With oval font*
@@michalvallo1533 I just used the chamfer tool with uneven lengths to get the effect.

@@EndMotive nice!!! But I have a different truck I needed an emblem made for.
@@louisrexach705 lol whoops sorry I misunderstood you! What truck?
Very nice, but it would be nice for my wallet to just buy the emblem ( from you ) than spending hundreds of dollars
