Thanks so much for your insights! I've been scouring YT for months for some real meat about my beloved WoC. Soon I'll be playing my first games against VC and O&G, very exciting. Do you have any advice for list building with WoC at lower points levels? We are playing 1250 and I feel very light on the ground, even with dragons omitted. Thanks!
Good discussion but a couple of rule issues I noticed. You can’t use the lumber rule to turn if you march, giving ground does not pop you through other units, dragon ogres are only buffed by storm call not all magic missiles.
Thank you so much for this video ive been crying out for proper beefy WoC tactica for ages! I only run undivided, slaanesh and tzeentch purely for fluff reasons. Whats the view on the competitiveness of chariots? With or without characters? Cheers for all you do.
My personal is that being close order based theres definitely a space for chariot armies, operating similar to the beastmen chariot armies you see out there (minus the fetish rerolling S1 magic Missile, but gaining from access to Gaze) Its more an MSU army than the army talked about In this video at that point. An example of the Beasts army you could take inspiration from could be the Beasts of Chaos Vs Dwarfs battle report which has an army thats been refined on going to tournies in
Just comparing the chaos knight to the Bretonnia knights of the realm they are totally a fair trade. The improved toughness, and strength. Plus the extra AP on their hand weapon. All you lose is counter charge, and some extra points you pay. Rarely do my regular knights kill the opponent outright. So instead you are in ongoing combat. Where they just power through the Bretonnia player.
Keep in mind you cant reroll a reroll, so two 1s in a row on the table is a stupidity and -1ld regardless of how many favors you have left. Also, 39:35 you dont get the free pivot if you march
Yes you can’t rr a rr but you can roll on the table every turn safe in knowledge you have a rr in hand even if you get unlucky early which is well worth having in my experience testing so far relative to the points. the march and pivot you’re completely correct I misspoke it’s either/or.
Don’t Dragon Ogres only get additional Initiative and Attacks from The Quickening Storm when they take hits from Storm Call not other Magic Missiles? I might be reading the rule wrong but I don’t think opponents magic missiles quicken Dragon Ogres, they just get a 5+ Ward Save.
A good option just a matter of points and usage hand weapons serve quite well in most instances. If you have spare points great weapons a good investment .
Hey! Sometimes it’s just a swing and a miss sadly with working approx 70hrs a week currently between normal work and the 2 videos I’m putting out: if you want to give me a bit more time to make the quality more consistent there’s a patreon link in the description where you can get dice and access to the discord aswell
This font and colour on that background is basically impossible to read. Good dialogue though
I’ve just put the list in the description as a bit of a work around
Thanks for having me on Max a fun discussion
Thank you for sharing this, amazing!

BTW Puppet makes the miscast rise from 2.7% to 7.4%, so definitely a significant increase in miscast chances.
Boom: that’s good numbers to demonstrate how good it is!

Good catch thanks very much!
I'm loving the long form content, please keep it coming!
Glad you’re enjoying em mate! Will do!

Great discussion. Really enjoyed this
Knights do have counter charge sir

countercharge was added in the erratas/faqs

Ye your right mate we misspoke in that instance
49:31 - Goes from a 1/36 to a 1/18 chance of miscast I believe.
Should I build the chariot as horsies or gorebeast?
I went with horses, but the gorebeast variant is super deadly.
Great weapons for Dragon Ogres? Not a good option?

Just poured coffee and was about to watch your Escher vid.. Okay.. This instead? ;9 I dunno.. I might save this for the next painting session..
What a terrible font and background colour. Can't read anything from that army list.
