The cops are some sort of makeshift racing-ghost implementation rather than AI. They take the exact same routes you do, clip through traffic, and have a rather fixed distance from your car. You may have also noticed how they teleport behind you into a racing ghost thing. Hopefully at some point they will get actual AI in them. Have you thought about doing any more chases with human cop(s)? I think this is always a fun video and I feel you would be able to make them much more cinematic than other content creators. Imagine drifting on that tight Japan map at night with a few buds chasing you. That would be wild.
The cop mod is definitely a work in progress, but I’m optimistic it will get better with future updates😉 I’m really excited to do another chase with my buddy, like we did before. The biggest challenge is syncing up our schedules, but I’m hoping we can pull it off soon😊🙌
Honestly, as long as they don't program the AI to learn from every single chase, then that would be a vast improvement. However if they learn from every chase, then it'll be no different because eventually it will only ever run the best lines just like this glued to trunk npc cop. There's a guy who develops AI to race in trackmania and after many races, the AI easily learns and beats human racers by knowing the most optimal path to take and thus it becomes a programmed win.

Do you mean a K20? This Civic doesn't have a V6 from an NSX in it. That is a 4 banger. 543 whp (as the details state). But the problem is, no matter how well your 4 cylinder accelerates, it loses its velocity gain quickly as 4 cylinder engines have a short power curve. They don't accelerate well in the top end. Where a V8 is quite the opposite. The 4.6L Modular (which Crown Vics have) have plenty of torque and are not governed.
As a former auto technician, Hondas are lawn mowers when left mechanically stock. When modified properly, some of them are fiendishly fast on the road.

A 4.6L Modular V8 vs a K20 4 cylinder? Yes. The Crown Vic would APPEAR like the fastest car in the world. So much more torque and a longer torque curve. Way better top end.
There's no freaking way you wouldn't have lost that police cruiser in a real life police chase. Only a helicopter could keep up to the way you were driving.

Up to the mid point of the pursuit all looked stable, even if those Crown Victorias kept up with the Civic at 300+ km/h. And then at 3:34 you fitted this Honda in between two other vehicles, the gap between them happened to be exactly Civic-wide. From that moment all went south pretty rapidly. Traffic got thicker, police cars spawned more often and they drove flawlessly. It reminded me of ND4SPD MW on higher heat levels with restless police and insane speeds. Great video as always, the interior looks pretty awesome on that display. For a moment I was wondering how did you managed to swing the flag on the rear view mirror so in line with the movements of the car before realising it was virtual. And it all ended as it usually does, in a twisted and crushed flaming ball of metal. A really immersive experience.
