I had/have been looking for the Accessories for FAB since I got in to the game 2 MONTHS ago and this is the first I am hearing of the Playmat coming in the Classic Battles sets. Now, where can I get the Dice?! Amazing Instructional Intro!
Best one. All the other tutorials left me confused. This one at least gives me some idea of how to play. The end where you went through a simulated turn was extra helpful since I'm a visual learner. Thanks!
I started playing Magic back in December-ish after having played here and there for a couple years when my friends would rope me into it; I've been really enjoying my time with my first tcg and I picked up a Blitz deck earlier today after hearing a bunch of good things bout FaB. I convinced my roommate to pick one up as well, we're gonna try learning to play sometime this week. This video helped me understand the rules much more clearly than the other videos I've seen, thanks!
Great video. Clear, concise and good effects used for my visual brain. Can tell you spent a lot of time making this tutorial. The combat chain simulation is most helpful. I learn best by seeing things play out.
Hello I am just learning about this game and I was wondering would it be possible to construct the original four decks from buying a booster box or two?
Very good job on introducing players to the basic game rules. One minor criticism I have is the usage of Attack and Defense Reaction Steps throughout the video. Those terms don't actually exist in the game. It's fine to explain it this way for newer players, but it does tend to direct players down an incorrect assumption on how the Reaction Step as a whole works (it's a very common question we get in the Rules forums/discord).
Excellent video. I just got into FAB a month ago. I still have a few questions. If I play an attack action with go again, is my next attack action a new chain or part of the chain link? And under what circumstances do you create a new chain as opposed to another link?
Hi there! Happy I've been able to help out! - In this case, your next attack action would be part of the same chain, on a new chain link. You cannot keep the chain open and play a non-attack action. For example, if I attacked with go again, but then wanted to play Minnowism before my next attack, I would have to close the chain in order to do so, and start a new one with my new attack. Additionally, Heroes like Levia can care about what is in their graveyard (as they banish things from there) - so they may wish to close a chain before attacking again so that the cards you already attacked with are in your graveyard. Hopefully this helps a little! Thanks for checking out the vid!
Great video for beginners in every aspect! Also, what a pleasure playing you in Amsterdam. Your double bloodrush into double beast within turn was beautiful.
This game really is so foreign from the “summoning” based TCGs that were based off Magic like Yugioh or Pokémon. The combat feels like a self contained stack.
Question: I am new. When in the combat chain i play a card that says "on hit" and my opponent plays nothing to respond, then i play another character because previous card said go a gain, the total damage between both cards is 6. and my enemy plays cards to defend for 6.. Does the hit from the card go into effect since my opponent blocked all 6? or did they have to block that specific card before I played card after it? I dont understand if they must block the specific card or after i do all my cards with go again and im done attacking do they then play defense cards and whatever amount they can block they specify which cards they wanted?
so am I correct in assuming that a card with go again that begins a combat chain is basically providing an action point retroactively for when after that link is finished? brand new to the game sorry if its a basic question
Very good video! I wish you would have covered the various tokens in this game. These token mechanics are confusing for me and I don’t understand how to play them properly in the game.
I was desperately trying to keep the video byte-sized few newer players to pick up, but I'm hoping to do a part two soon covering auras, tokens, allies and more :)
@@howlingmines I understand and agree with keeping the video to a manageable length. A additional video would be great! All of the “how to play” videos out there miss these token mechanics due to them using Ira decks. Looking forward to the new video!
Hi there. I'm a bit confused - if there are only 6 equipment slots (head, chest, arms, legs, weapons x2) then how can you bring 11 equipments? Do you shuffle the remainders into the deck?
No, they simply remain out-of-play once you've selected which one you'd like to wear! You can register a deck with a few different chest pieces for example, but can only pick one to wear during the game! :)
Best ‘How to Play’ I’ve seen.
Thanks so much, trying my best!

There's a few sellers for the dice online! I go to MetalFABTokens for mine :) Thanks for the kind words!

Very happy to have helped you get involved in the game! Welcome!
Can I use, for example, this Unmovable (generic defence reaction) for defending an attack, without pay the cost, not as a defence reaction?
You cannot - Defense reactions can only be used as defense reactions and at no other time :)
I could use one of these that breaks it down by hero. 😂
I'd like to do some hero spotlights when I get some time! :)
Keep doing what you're doing! Remember to take care too :)
Thank you! ❤️
"Any card with a printed defense value can block" - is this true? I am of the understanding that defense reaction cards can't be used to block...
They still block - just in the defence reaction step! :)

Happy to have helped you! Welcome to the game
The absolute BEST "how to play" FAB video going, well done sir!
Thank you!
Really helpful video. Do you plan on expanding it with cards like coaches and dragons as those are really confusing at least for me?
Allies and Dragons are defiantly something I could look to create a separate guide too when I get a chance!
A really useful video that doesn't overexplain like a lot of others I have seen. Good job my man.
So happy to have helped!
Extremely helpful video! Thank you
Happy to have been of help! :)
Hello I am just learning about this game and I was wondering would it be possible to construct the original four decks from buying a booster box or two?
That's sadly quite unlikely :(
@@howlingmines sad indeed, well I guess I will start with Heavy Hitters 👍🏼
3 minutes in and it’s the best tutorial out there.
Happy to help!

Interesting way to see it, but I get what you mean!
Probably the best intro Video for beginner flesh and blood on youtube!.
Ordered 3 Blitz deck after watching this one.
:)
Happy to hear! I hope you enjoy it

Each chain link happens independently - so if a card with an "on-hit" goes unblocked, the on-hit happens at that point :)
so am I correct in assuming that a card with go again that begins a combat chain is basically providing an action point retroactively for when after that link is finished? brand new to the game sorry if its a basic question
Pretty much! That link has to resolve, but as long as you do, you get that action point!
