These videos are fascinating! I love how you add in the history of these places and show us the scenery and highlights out of the vehicle. I will sure miss your Black Hills content, but this NM and Colorado footage is great! Great to see you and your family on your videos. Thanks Colt!
Great video. This type of trail is in line with what most people who watch would do. Great your wife is joining you. The family ones with your kids are also fun. More than a few wagons have used the log trick. It saved the day. Good call.
Thank you Colt and wife for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery , learning a little history and people helping people that had some trouble ! It was awesome !
From a guy who's used the log under an axle trick for some distance: Use a green log if available...much less likely to crack and force you to find another. Green wood also less likely to burn with the friction going down a gravel road.
Finally found your channel here on TH-cam! What a great adventure to tag along with you and Shannon! New subscriber and looking forward to many more videos!
Great job, it’s heartwarming to see you help others whenever you can, quality work on your behalf. I always learn something as well history or how to fix things or get out of trouble, good people do exist and you guys prove it. Thanks for sharing
One of your best vids yet...and they are all great !! Especially when you're on a trail in Colorado, or ANYwhere in the four corner states. Sure wish we'd known you 30 years ago when we were driving trails in our little CJ7. Love following along on your adventures...Thank you for sharing them with us. Brings back some nostalgic memories.
Colt: Thanks for sharing this video!! I had no idea that that area had such great trails!! I have been through there, but now will go again. I will be at next year's ride!! Keep up the great work! I really like your channel.
Colt "They're known for really two things." Also Colt: Lists three things. Me: Never usually high enough to notice little things. Love the content, getting better and better, I am here for it.
You are constantly hitting up the type ot trails I would like to run if I ever get in the position to do so. I really enjoy ALL your video's and it is really cool to see you and the wife out enjoying yourselves and sharing the experience.
Colt I'm a first time listener to your and your wife's channel really enjoyed the video, my wife and I are jeepers, have been for many years, there are so many trails in the USA, it's amazing ❤️🙏👍
I have ridden all of the paved roads in that area, but not the Jeep trails. Looks like something new to add to my list of trails to do. Thank you Colt & Shannon.
Colt saves the day. Having the knowledge/ingenuity and willing to share it. Hopefully that (sweet) old Jeep is back out on the trail where it belongs, with four wheels of course lol
We did this trip last year, the history speaker was incredible! It was a LOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGG day the night after a concert in silverton. Drove in that morning and camped above paradox just off the Rimrocker.
What a cool video! I love these kinds of videos. Before you know it, your videos will be like everyone else’s because you’ll have 1 million subscribers.
Thanks for the scenery drive, would love to see Colorado someday. never been west of the mississippi. seen everything on the east, but never in the west. someday I hope.
Love your scenery videos, especially since so far they've been in Colorado. If I remember my college Colorado geography class, an unusual thing about where the canyon and the Dolores River meet, the river runs across the mouth of the canyon instead of down it.
Love the channel! Back to corny jokes with death once had a near Chuck Norris experience and Chuck Norris had a bear rug on his bedroom floor. The bear was still alive just scared to move.
Beautiful country!!! Been all over that country, hunting, mining, and partying as teenagers. Glad to see others enjoying as we do. Now to keep the governments hands off of it!!!
Hi guys . We have really enjoyed your videos and your Colorado trips. You mentioned your header bolts keep coming loose. If you haven't tried them, you can get split washers for headers. You might have to get longer bolts, though.
I am guessing nobody thought much of strapping a log to the axle until they tried just dragging it first. Experience for the win. After a trip like that how did the air filter hold up?
You know, I'm really getting tired of the forestry service and our government. Those lands are not third lands. Those lands are our lands. Their job is to preserve the land not to keep us out. We are supposed to be able to access that land because we own that land as Americans. Our government needs to get that in their head. It's not doors, it's ours.
That "green limestone" , I believe is the Morrison Formation. It's the volcanic ash that ended the Jurassic. It's green because of Iron phosphate and is one of the formations that produce uranium. Them poor dinosaurs though.
I wonder if you could use a dab of muffler cement to "tack" the header bolts in place but be able to chip it off if needed. Might be a fitting experiment for the e bay jeep.

Thank you Colt and wife for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery , learning a little history and people helping people that had some trouble ! It was awesome !
Love how ready you are to help. I’ve been with folks that won’t help - they work all week, they don’t wrench on saturday😊
Finally, a trail my tired ole YJ might be able to handle..
I was thinking the same thing with my AMC Eagle after I get the trans rebuilt.
That looks like a nice mellow trail to see some beautiful country. I might have to head that way sometime. Thanks for sharing Colt and Shannon.
You bet
I love the knowledge and history you provide on these outings, great channel glad you are on your own now.
Good morning wheeling with beautiful scenery is a great way to start my Saturday.

Colt saves the day AGAIN!!! Great video and can’t wait until Four Corners 4x4 week.
When is that?
Make sure you always have a Colt with you on your Jeep Safari 😏
The Ebay JK sounds tapppy and squeaky. Proving that you just don't need a $60k super crawler to go off road and have fun. Good job!
A bow saw a log and a ratchet strap LOL Matt Rory 🤣 you have competition 😊
Now that's team work there helping out on a broken jeep good job everybody 🤙😎
"All you need is a little bit of wood" - priceless

I like the explanations you offer. It keeps the viewer informed. Thank you.
another wonderful scenic trip of your back yard and history lesson colt. thank you!😊❤
Love your videos.
Trail repairs can be fun. They bring the group together. Plus, kinda cool to figure out how to get the rig back on the road.
That Was Great & I Put A Receiver Hitch on The Front & Rear Of My Old 1984 Bronco 2 So I Can Pull From Either End
GREAT VIDEO
Good to see Colt follow the unspoken rule: "Any time there's a road rally, always bring a "Hot Chick".
--- Thanks for the great upload. ---
Saw you filling up on gas that morning was cool to meet you
Love the 2 track scenery, another great video
Thanks 👍
A great day out enjoying the scenery with like minded folks, good stuff.
Thanks for the beautiful scenery colt

I really enjoy riding with these two. I don't think there is a joker in poker
I really like the running commentary. 😊

The log rescue reminds me of one of my bonneville heroes; Burt Monroe...
Another great video!
What a cool video! I love these kinds of videos. Before you know it, your videos will be like everyone else’s because you’ll have 1 million subscribers.
Looks like wrecker games sticker on your windshield.
Good family Chanel. Keep on keeping on.
Chuck Norris had a staring contest with the sun...the sun blinked. Now we have eclipses.
I really enjoy your videos, great work.
Great content
Some kids pee their name in the snow. Chuck Norris can pee his name into concrete.
Very cool trail.
At the 26:00 min mark that log trick worked like a charm.
Chuck Norris doesn't do pushups... he pushes the earth down.
Colt builds it and teaches you stuff
Thanks for the scenery drive, would love to see Colorado someday. never been west of the mississippi. seen everything on the east, but never in the west. someday I hope.
Colt really enjoy your videos getting to see scenery that I’d probably never get to see.
Glad to hear it!
The day he was born, he punched the doctor because, nobody slaps Chuck Norris.
He was surprised when little Chuck grabbed his hand and pulled himself out of the womb
Looks like a good time!
I’m with you colt hitting some of the hard trails is fun but if I can go somewhere and see history I’m in
Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door
that looked like a cool trip

Nice trip and some good old trail camaraderie and Yankee ingenuity aka jerry/trail rigging.
Super cool video thx
Colt ftw! they couldn't hear your ingenuity until their efforts failed because your idea sounded weird. a stick, whoda thunk it!
Love the channel! Back to corny jokes with death once had a near Chuck Norris experience and Chuck Norris had a bear rug on his bedroom floor. The bear was still alive just scared to move.

Chuck Norris fought superman and the loser had to wear his underwear on the outside of his pants forever.
