I am in the midst of a drought personally - under attack and smelling defeat - but still fighting. This song came on the radio this morning - it put wind in my sails for the rest of the day. Hi. My name is Anna, I am 18 years old. I have never self harmed, done drugs, or been abused. I live a great life. But I have my own struggles and I don't know what I am going to do in the future. There is going to be a of changes coming very soon. I feel like all my friends are going to leave me, I feel very lonely, I don't drive yet, I have never had a job, I have a lot of things to catch up on,I have fallen behind in school from home schooling, I am scared and I often crumble in public situations. Also I have gotten back into an old addiction of mine and am trying to crawl my way out of it again... I know a lot of people that ask for stuff have it a lot worse then I do but could anyone pray for me?
Anna - just read your post asking for prayers. I am praying for you now: Dear Lord, please fill Anna's heart with the assurance that she is NOT ALONE! Help her recognize she is your precious daughter, that you created her for a specific purpose and that she is here on earth to discover and fulfill that. Help her connect with "your hands and feet" in wise and loving Christian guides who can help her along the way. Go to church, Anna, get on your knees and earnestly ask for God's help. He will answer you. When you have no faith, when you are full of doubt, trust that God is with you even though you can't feel it, keep putting one foot in front of the other. Choose to do what you know is right, what is GOOD for you, keep asking for Jesus to be beside you in each moment, and He WILL answer your prayers. You can do it WITH God's grace. Allow His spirit to move within you. Our journey is a long, crooked, sometimes broken path, but we are heading HOME to be with God our loving Father and Creator, and Jesus our Brother, Savior and Friend, and all those who have faithfully walked this path before us. I have struggled with addiction in my life, more than most might imagine, but Jesus never leaves you, no matter what. Whatever pain you go through, He can redeem it. If He allows you to suffer, it is because He is making you strong and sure. I will pray that you know His love, and that you rebuke any form of despair that comes your way. I have never self-harmed either, but the pain that you feel is just as valid as those who face such temptations. Well, I don't know if any of this helps. I know that pain can only truly be understood by the one who is facing it and the One who will make those wounds Glorious, just like His own!
