I believe I have an exhaust leak coming from the exhaust manifold gasket. Is it better to replace that with the engine in place (it looks pretty tight) or is it better to pull the engine?

I've always wonder why people like to drop the engine and not extract from the top?
if an engine hoist isn't available sure but everyone always drops it and I found out going from the top is easier to extract and put back in... idk

Assuming it’s a factory 1.8 8v? 1-3-4-2 is the firing order…. Hope that helps. Appreciate the watch and thanks for the support! Cheers

Why not from the top easier
