[SFM] Meet the Sentry Buster

- This was an idea inspired by Criken ( / criken2 really, go subscribe) in one of his livestreams he mentioned how scary Sentry Busters are, and I thought that I might as well -take- make his idea a reality and create this spiffy little video.
Hope you enjoy, if you did....like and...sub...su...I can't, I can't ask that of you. That would be stupid.
In all honesty, please share it, tell your friends, it helps out a lot and I'll appreciate it.
To those of you who were wondering why that Heavy is BLU and not RED, it's a...homage if you will...to the fact that BLU and RED were originally supposed to play together in Mann vs. Machine. This idea was later scrapped near release because playtesters were so damn stupid they were shooting their opposite colored teammates (so I've heard, not sure if true)

Logan Linn uhm no... well... not really I get why those can walk, but something that can lock onto a sentry or something from VERY far away is creepy
I personally find the sentry busters really disturbing, partially because of what they do, but combined with the fact they look so unnatural: all the other robots look humanoid, but the sentry buster is just a featureless orb on legs (that chases people as of that), and the lack of identity gives it the same disturbing aura of a mask: there are no sign of their intentions at first glance. I think I'm trying too hard though.
You ever seen one of those sea-mines that are used to destroy ships? In my opinion they look like those. With legs. That follow sentries. And engies carrying them.

It's amazing that the sentry busters can explode with such force while doing 0 damage to the wooden buildings they're standing on and inside.

actually when you have a wrangler sentry rocket jump to a higher place and the sentry busters can't find a way to get to your sentry they just explode when they want your sentry to be blowned so they just explode if they did not explode that means they are finding a way up there

RTSCrafter but crockets do no extra damage to buildings so he could just hide behind the sentry till they get close, then run like a scout on speed.

Engie is one of my mains on MvM, and I know from experience that the only thing to do is to try and outrun them while carrying your sentry, and hopefully your teammates have enough sense to try and kill them.
step one : get sentry buster attack
step two: get uber canteen
step three: pick up sentry
step four: use canteen
step five: survive
Or you could wait until they start to detonate, pick upbyour sentry and run for the hills. You might need a speed upgrade to do this consistently. OR use the rescue ranger and rescure ranger it from a distance

by the way, i f**kin' "love" sentry busters, as a hardworking engineer it's always so nice to have a sentry buster come to visit, because i totally wasn't holding off an entire wave of soldier's back by myself and my completely competent team wasn't taking there sweet time getting back to the front lines and i definitely didn't get bulls-eyed by five rockets while running away like the under-armed cowered i am

Nice, great animation based on MvM and the Sentry Busters. The animation is very smooth and the camera effects were a good touch, very well done. The cinematography is also nice and the bit with the Heavy and Medic is funny along with the scary Sentry Busters. Great work on putting MvM in a dramatized fashion and with a bit of humor on the side.

one thing impressive about the engineers sentry gun, its the fact that it can turn into a box form or whatever in not even a second.
I use the rescue ranger so I can just teleport it to me before it destroys my sentry

they explode when neat a sentry, or when they get to 1 hp.
just shoot them a lot
Plus, they don't explode when you actually succeed in killing them

The only way is to make the sentry buster explode without your sentry being destroyed

Yesterday i had my first time playing Mann up mode. Now i was one of two engineers on the team, there were several sentry busters during the match and none of them went for me, so i could imagine this was what the other engineer was experiencing.

Usually because people can tell from the class setup that it really isn't going to work out well at all, and of course now you have to have won or lost the first round to be able to disconnect without a penalty

This is so accurate, Sentry Busters are a major problem as an engineer playing MvM
Also you can use the upgrade all buildings thingy. It's freakishly overpowered. I just run away, wait for the sentry buster to explode, and go back and build my buildings and upgrade them.

How I remember countering sentry busters,just wait till they get triggered,and then run like the wind
My trick to avoid the sentry is to take the important one (sentry of course) and run around like he did, but to dispatch the busters, i ran near them and if they are going to explode i get away from them. then redeploy the sentry.
