It was the day I realized there wasn't anyone better at what he did than Tommy Emmanuel, and that we were done seeing Billy Strings at GF, because he was going to be too big for that venue and was going to take the music world by storm. Perhaps when he is older and people fall for the next artist, we'll get him back, but for now, the smaller shows are out. So glad I got to see them jam together!

The 1st time I seen Tommy Emmanuel was in a college auditorium in a small Texas town mid 90's. Aside from those of us in the music industry that followed the latest trends, Tommy Emmanuel was relatively an unknown here in the United States, but boy he sure did not disappoint 👏 for those of us that happened to show up to his shows!! Can you imagen being able to see Tommy Emmanuel up close and personal back in the 90s he is such a humble man & doesn't let his fame get to his head even to this day!
I was fortunate enough to hang with Tommy and Phil during a week (nights) long gig they had at the Kirra Hotel on the Gold Coast in oz, in 1985... I know what you mean. Those guys are also the funniest people I ever met
What I love about TE more than his playing ability, his humbleness, is his ability to just have fun doing what he does. He absolutely loves it. It's so infectious.
It's not just his incredible guitar skills, it's also the way he moves his head and shoulders with that secret smile of his. What a lovely gentle and generous-hearted man! It must the most wonderful thing in the world to be able to give so many people so much pleasure and joy.
That's one of the many unique things about music. For a true musician/songwriter/performer, u aren't "playing to," you are "sharing with." Even if you're alone, you're sharing....with yourself, a pet, the ether itself, creating sound waves that will travel through the universe...forever. Tommy Emanuel's joy comes standard with every note he plays. And also, in his humor and humility, there is gratitude. It comes from feeling what every true musician feels, whether or not we communicate it through our music. We are able to adorn the silence, soothe, give therapy, if nothing else, create a memory or just create a smile. It is absolutely true that it is, and therefore, feels, better to give than to receive. Sharing...giving is what musicians do. And if we do it right, really, really right, we can light up the darkness, dispell hate, and yeah, one day, maybe, we can change the world....(pause to un-cringe after that cliche'...) Tommy Emanuel's joy tells me he is, not only a consummate musician, but a human being who, unlike some, hasn't forgotten that talent is a gift, and for gifts, one should be thankful. God love ya, Tommy. S.A.S.
I heard him, in an interview, say that he doesn't read music, or really write it out. The fact that he composes in his head, builds it into muscle memory, and remembers this vast library of his own songs and the work of others is absolutely amazing!
We saw and listened with my wife , it was an amazing moment , and shared with our friends . Tanks and salutations from Alpes in France . You are great 👍🏼♥️

Thanks to Tommy for sharing his brother Phil with us . The best electric guitar I’ve ever heard. One of the best musical talents of my lifetime. What a loss to the world.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Tommy twice in Dallas and to say he enjoys his craft is an understatement. He plays his guitar with his heart and soul and, if you watched this in its entirety, you witnessed it. Close your eyes and when he plays Somewhere over the rainbow it literally sounds like he is playing a harp. He is the BEST.
I echo the many, many positive accolades that Tommy has received. I "found" him about 3 years ago - fortunate to see him live in NJ with my son shortly after finding him. I have watched 100+ Tommy youtube videos - I have to say while I have favorite renditions of certain songs that are elsewhere - this is quickly becoming my favorite complete show - he is so "on" - feeding off the crowd, playing a couple of songs I wasn't familiar with prior, segment with Billy Strings is awesome.......THANK YOU TOMMY! For sharing in so many ways so generously!
How good is this man? Honestly, I’ve never been inspired by someone so much in my life. I’m not just on about from a musician’s point of view, either. What a legend!

@@coryCuc He IS one of Dakine! 😁
Watching Tommy play is almost an addiction..
An incredible performance. Tommy makes the incredibly difficult look so easy. This is how the guitar was meant to be played.
Tommy's such a humble man. If I could play like him whenever I flew I'd need one ticket for me and one for my ego.
This gentleman has it all...style, showmanship, and a down to earth approach to his pure fucking awesomeness!!!!
I strangely agree
And if we do it right, really, really right, we can light up the darkness, dispell hate, and yeah, one day, maybe, we can change the world....(pause to un-cringe after that cliche'...)
Tommy Emanuel's joy tells me he is, not only a consummate musician, but a human being who, unlike some, hasn't forgotten that talent is a gift, and for gifts, one should be thankful.
God love ya, Tommy.
S.A.S.
I am really thankful to you:
I study in 'what is an artist', and all what you mention here is fully true.
They are so much needed in our society.
You must definitely be a poet,those words!!!!😉😇🙃
Wow this guy is amazing, my new favorite guitarist. The joy he has playing guitare is contagious. Thank you.
Tommy Emmanuel no matter how long it takes him to play, he keeps smiling
Give him the saddest music, and he will turn it into happiness and joy 💗
Thank you Tommy. You inspire me to pick up my guitar every time I hear you play.
New entrant introducing himself... congratulations!
I heard him, in an interview, say that he doesn't read music, or really write it out. The fact that he composes in his head, builds it into muscle memory, and remembers this vast library of his own songs and the work of others is absolutely amazing!
The Capo throw off is awesome, completely unique. Always a pleasure listening to you Tommy.
Another pure gold live performance from Tommy!
We saw and listened with my wife , it was an amazing moment , and shared with our friends . Tanks and salutations from Alpes in France . You are great 👍🏼♥️
I never grow tired of watching this great man play. Wonderful!
The only, inimitable, unattainable, the greatest, the most musical, absolute talent, humble and human, born without any doubt to do this .... Thanks Tommy🙏🏻 Good life and (that's for sure) Good music !!
As good as he is, and he is fantastic, there is so much more inside trying to get out. Truly a guitar genius
I used to live on the farm for 15 years, and when I hear this genius upbeat music, I can just imagine and clearly see the roosters and chickens, the pigs are swinging and dancing on the front and backyards... AWESOME BlueGrass / Green Green Grass Of Home. Thank You Sir Tommy Emmanuel for Uniting the world with Your Artistry which resides with the Rhythm of your Heart and a Humble mindset. God Bless You!!!!....
If this is not amazing, what else can be?! Simply beautiful
You are amazing Tommy. I remember you played at my church in Taree back in the 90's when I was a kid and you are just as good today. You are a such a good person too. All the best
My god...MotherF..is 100 years old and still on fire!!
You all just witnessed the best of the best. Thanks TE for such a great evening.
Don't think I've ever heard Tommy sing! He's great!
Thanks to Tommy for sharing his brother Phil with us . The best electric guitar I’ve ever heard. One of the best musical talents of my lifetime. What a loss to the world.
A true virtuoso like Al Hirt, Bennie Goodman, Ella Fitsgerald, Buddy Rich.
Exactly what i needed today. A jam session with Tommy Emmanuel & Billy Strings. Cold Improv'd on bass more than half the video with him/them. Its always a learning experience to jam with other musicians, of course i'd rather they hear me too, but... It works and i get my practice in
Who needs a band when you can play like Tommy.
Tommy, Thank you for this. Made my Christmas morning.
Merry Christmas!
Don’t get much better than Tommy.
He always floors me. So brilliant and melodic. Heavenly.
Wow, what playing. The over the rainbow was a great finisher. By doing that there is no encore, so masterful crowd control and respect for those that follow and other crew that need/want to get home. True professional.
What a wonderful Christmas gift.. Thank You Brother Tommy
I think Tommy was born with a guitar attached to his body. It's just part of who he is - a true master of the instrument.
Tommy, you have to listen to this, am a guitar player too and I consider you one of my favorites guitarist.
This morning I was having problems of lack of air, as if my lungs could not breathe enough, and while I was feeling and was worried because I felt that it could complicate me, I grabbed my cell and had open the TH-cam and I saw this video and I started to listen to it, only three songs played and suddenly I realized that I was very relaxed and breathing as if nothing had happened! wow !! your music heals the body and soul. Thank you very much!!!!!!
Thank YOU GF for sharing this FULL SET with Tommy Emmanuel. I was in the audience & totally blown away. Thanks for bringing this to us 2020 during covid. It was a really great set and a personal status victory for Tommy! GJ, Dusty HC Cart Driver
When we all took live shows for granted ;) Listening and enjoying now.
Our trio is so lucky to be back at work, at least part time. Social distance and all.

I like it when he shows off his one hand playing skills, legendary player! Great love and passion for the guitar and music! Love Tommy! 🙏🏻❤️ I have to make an edit for a shoutout to Billy Strings! Good to see the art is alive and well with the younglings!
Incredible music. Incredible dynamic. Incredible playing. Incredible stage presence. Incredible chemistry. Incredible art. Incredible sound. Incredible vibrations. Incredible spirit. Incredible energy. Incredible connection. Incredibly heartfelt. Incredibly generous. Incredibly human. Tommy E is for 'enigma' - we don't have to understand it - just be thankful and grateful we can experience it. Listening to and watching Tommy is pure joy and inspiration. Him being himself really shows the potential that we have in all of us to become our best selves. Thankyou and best wishes Tommy!! 🙏
2 - 3 - 4 melody lines being played simultaneously , ALL the while keeping perfect rhythm and timing - MOST DEFINATELY A MASTER GUITAR PERFORMER ❤️❤️😊😊😊😊✌️✌️

OMG, been listening nonstop to this. I feel 'transported' and lifted at every single moments. What a performance and what a blessing. Billions thanks and love to Tommy and to all the lovely people out there.
Tommy Emmanuel is in a league of his own. Brilliant playing, he always seems to be loving what he does.
Tommy is a source of light and goodness as well as being a superlative guitar player.
