lol I think thats why they finally changed it, most people weren't even aware
The issue was that a heading of around 30° off the head wind was the same with angled sails and dummy sails as well as the fact that dummy sails was counterintuitively faster than angled when less than 30° off the headwind. This is all unrealistic anyway because 25°-30° off the headwind is the dead zone when sailing in real life.

As a psn player I get why there’s not many on the game, I finished everything to do except level 1000 in PvP in 2 months
Lmao helldivers 2 arrowhead needs to follow rares example and buff bad weapons up to other powerful weapons level, instead of nerfing good weapons down to bad weapons level

i dont know how they expect to change the weapon meta unless they add a way to lunge with daggers or nerf the blunderbus damage which neither will happen. a blunderbuss nerf so it no longer 1 shots would probably make half the playerbase quit lol. they love the noskill 1 shot

U could use double barrel with sniper. U just get 1 extra shot to try and hit before u killem with the sniper.
so you have to hit 3 shots vs 2 shots (unless charged - alternatively just use the regular pistol to also 2 shot without having to do that)
@@Pace22 I thought a single shot does over 30 damage. So u would still only need to hit 2 shots. I could have sworn a single shot does 40.

Im confused what exactly are they changing with sails and wind direction i thought this is exactly how it already worked
before, it you were going into wind directly (and in the sloops case, ANY direction you didn't have FULL BILLOW WIND), you were actually faster with your sails in the default state the (as in perfectly centered the first time you lower sails) this is going away
@@Pace22 correct me if im wrong. So they're essentially removing dummy sails, so if the wind is blowing Directly at you to the left u move ur sails to the left, that is now considered faster than dummy sail? sorry

@@UndergroundNobody He said angling sails INTO the headwind will be beneficial, so I guess you're supposed to move the sails to the right if the wind is blowing to your left (until you can catch the wind).
Hey Pace! Love your vids! I'm surprised that you didn't point out the other cool thing about The Burning Blade. When you stop around 12:00 to talk about the wheel cannon, you can see that the cannons further down on the deck are being ran by skeletons. I know they mentioned it when they first ever talked about this world event but it's cool to actually see it in action. What do you think of it?

Brig sinks to easy to be viable now , the speed was always its strong suit
Just think of the sails at a clock...Wind directly into your sail is "In irons", then clock wise"close hauled", the close reached, then beam reach, then broad reach, then "Running"...and that is at your 6 o'clock...then reverse the terms...this would accurately give you the sailing dynamics...
Galleon was slow but could out gun you in one good broad.
Brigs had the speed advantage.
Sloop is agile, a smaller target, and can be tough to sink.
The meta was already clearly defined. Who was asking for these changes? Why are we catering to people running the fuck away lmao? IMO they’ve lost the plot with this one.

So all the newer and less pvp inclined can do all the work only for a larger more experienced crew to come and take it all even though they'd get more loot just doing their own voyages. Because they can have fun their way but not you, cause it's not like they have an hourglass they can turn for all the pvp they want!

You do get credit for bringing A LOT of people to the game (including me, but mine was mainly Summit) but you've been paid for that success via sponsorships and tournaments and what not.
