Gaudete - from the Piae Cantiones

in 1853 the British Ambassador to Sweden obtained a copy of a collection of 16th Century music called "Piae Cantiones". The collection was compiled by a man going by the name Jacobus Finno, Jim the Fin. Musicologists were delighted and fascinated by this collection which contains, among many others, the tune to Good King Wenceslas and this song "Gaudete Christus est Natus" - Rejoice, Jesus Christ is born. We are people of different countries and cultures and different abilities and we celebrate our differences and learn to sing together.
