No! You need a cable connection directly to the Gaming PC to get the best results in connection online and lan.

Great Review my friend. I would like to make an statement here about WiFi 6. It seems some "old" or low end devices (laptops/phones) can't actually detect the router so you won't be able to use it at all (some drivers are completely out of date). In addition, other mid-range devices may a very short WiFi range or don't support 5G connections. Therefore, if you really want these gaming routers and use them to their true potencial (GT-AX6000, AX11000, AXE16000), you must have/get at least a "2019+" computer, laptop, phone, etc.

I've got the Asus AX11000 and it's honestly the best router i've ever had. Having genuine gigabit wifi is truly badass when you have a gigabit fibre connection. Pretty chuffed to even have access to download speeds that good here in Australia.
But everything about it is fast as hell.
Its entirely too large though and looks like a dead crab, but the speed makes up for everything

I don't know why there is wifi, it is only good for your mobile phone, laptop computer, and to read Email or something like that, but not for gaming jitter and latency with wifi is much higher an internet cable is placed quickly, but nice explanation, and what do you do with a laptop above a BMW motor, should be use inside lol

Hi @boostedmedia this was a great review. One thing to keep in mind, when features like IDS/IPS are enabled they require a significant amount of CPU processing. If the SoC in the router can’t keep up routing performance will be negatively impacted. The faster your ISP speed the more work the SoC has to do to keep up.

Hey Will, did you consider the aimesh pairing with another ax router from Asus. It doesn't have to be the same one BTW. Any Asus router would do it (non gamer models especially). This extends the WiFi range but also the possibility to use ethernet all over the house including garage without having to wire the place up. You only need to plug the node to a power socket. Pair it and that's it. Try it and let us know.

I bought the asus tuf ax3000 to upgrade from the crap routers that ur isp gives you. I went from 1 bar on my phone with a 8mb speed in the bathroom on 2.4g wifi to 5 bars with 100mb speed and 4 bars with 800mb speed at 5g wifi. I didnt think a gaming router would be that much of a big upgrade in speed and range. It was $500 when i bought it and now its $300. It also has wifi 6 but i dont own anything with wifi 6 yet. I dont know if that would make the range or speed better but all of my devices are all connected to the asus and there is no slow down or bad connection like i had with the router that my isp gave. I wish i knew all those years ago that a better router will give you better range and speed and with more devices able to connect with no slow downs

@@GROGU123 too many variables for each use case but the mesh system is great. I have 3 floors and it works without interruption with 3 AP and concrete walls. The best is the software and the switches which are excellent and reliable. My whole point is with multiple inputs and use of Gigabit connection, the lifespan of consumer grade stuff can be shortened. Raw performance is not what’s important to me. I prefer 0 packet losses and low latency regardless of the load. Product support is also important.

Mr. Will. I hope you're having a good day. I had an idea. That I've been kicking around for a few years. In a long shot kind of way. What you got there is kind of playing around with this Idea. On gaming console. If you go to two player. in a lot of games. Your going to lose half your resolution. And half of your field of view. Cuz you're using a split screen a lot of times. But yet the PlayStation 2 was considered a supercomputer. And I know they've come a long way since then. Now I haven't gamed in many many years. But back when I used to we would actually get together a whole bunch of us. Bring are on TVs and use ethernet cables and link consoles together. Like four of them. We'd be gaming throughout all in the same House and game together. What I'm driving at. Is the chip inside a game system that turns the game system into its own Studio. That takes the final signal and sends it out on that little wire to the TV. Why not have a bunch of those chips in the gaming system. I'm talkin 10 or 25 or 50 other words more than you ever need. But the game system doesn't use a wire or an HDMI chord to go from the console to the TV. Instead you have something that looks like a thumb drive. That plugs into one of the HDMI and that's how the consoled links with the TV. Or laptop or whatever it is so long as it has a screen. So however many of those chips. Or in the console that I was talking about. Is how many of these thumb drives it can drive. A course each one has to have its own identification. And of course you're using wireless video game controllers. I bet this would take console gaming to the next level. That way you can get all your friends together. And it don't stop all you from going online together. Now I realize it would affect processing power. Of the gaming system. So they are going have to kick it up several notches there. If the gaming system was running the new Gran Turismo. And 10 people are playing it on one console. Now it's got to do 10 times the processing. So maybe this is a bad idea I don't know. But maybe that's why some games don't have the multiple player option. Whereas some of the other games don't need all that processing power. And you could have 10 people playing or 25 or 50. And the console could handle it. It's just a thought
