      please dont edit that one like this series. waaay too much editings to make each episode about a certain animal has completely ruined the sense of time and it being a series at all. one of the big reasons why season 1 and 2 been better than this one

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      TH-cam doesn't promote series, they promote individual videos only. That's a big problem and why views are all over the place. Sense of time is added to each video as I put in the day and they are coming out in sequence. It's all I can do. Follow the playlist. You may have also missed some videos since 2 of them were age restricted (now reversed) and were not promoted to most of my subscribers.

      Pretty much, almost all vegetables and fruit that come from Spain come from one giant plantation that's driven by slavery and the plastic waste they use gets dumped right by the plantation so the "earth" around the ocean there is literally layers of plastic. So huntic locally does almost literally nothing.

    • @Handsy_McGee
      @Handsy_McGee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So true. Plus what they've been eating is invasive, or plentiful. I myself have boar hunted, they ruin so much land that they're in season year round. It didn't move from the moment I shot it, and these guys kill everything as humanely as possible too.
      As you can see, this struggle is where we came from. We didn't have the option to be vegan, and I'm really grateful we have that option today.

    • @zvsx

  • @3rdcoastambit220
    @3rdcoastambit220 6 ปีที่แล้ว +69

    I'm kinda curious as to what's your main viewer demographic is? You seem to apologize literally every 2min in the video for simply eating. It actually gets exhausting. Down here in Texas hunting and fishing is extremely common but for people who've never hunted or fished a day in their lives they still eat pounds of a variety of meats every day of their lives. So where is it that you're from where people are so frequently offended by something as basic as eating?

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  6 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      People are coming into the video from ALL over the world. Some have never eaten turtle, some have turtles as pets and some only know that turtles are endangered. I'm trying to reach everyone rather than just shove it in their face.

    • @3rdcoastambit220
      @3rdcoastambit220 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The Wooded Beardsman I suppose, lol maybe down here in the South we just care so little about who gets offended or about political correctness that its just strange to see someone walking around on egg shells. Like I said it looks exhausting. Good luck with your endeavors.

    I agree with many other commenters who say to ignore the people who take issue with what you're doing.
    The people who are continually watching know you're subsisting only on these animals, and don't find it cruel.
    Just keep doing what you're doing, and don't worry about the nay-sayers.

    I went down to west central Texas, near Dyess Air Force base, and spent 3 weeks there in the 70`s. Plenty of stock tanks to fish in. The temps were in the 100`s. Very low humidity. You could fish and shoot all day down there and not break a sweat. Guys, be sure to drink a lot of water.

      Furious Ryan me 3, finding like minded people and close by and hopefully one you’ll get along with is like finding a needle in a haystack, and my being a female I need to add, what... 900 more haystacks, I think there are other women out there who enjoy what WB teaches(not sure, per WB, his women viewers was 3 or 5 percent) not many compared to guys (the numbers rise in the bush craft area) the numbers are like this due to the difference on how boys and girls were raised. I think everyone should be raised on how to not just survive but thrive off the land. Good luck to you Ryan!!!

    Maybe stop apologizing for killing and eating animals. Your fans get it; your critics don't. I don't think you're going to change anyone's mind by saying it over and over. Maybe instead of explaining why it's okay to do what you do, just talk about how beautiful the animals are and how much you respect them. I think that would be more convincing.

    Hey guys !! NW Arkansas Girl here.... with a tip. My grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee; and she knew alot of "wild" medicines. If all those FRESH berries are TOO MUCH... ahem...meaning diarrehia(sp) ...use her fix. DRIED BLUEBERRIES, WILL STOP THAT PROBLEM IN ITS" TRACKS....and it only takes maybe 15-20 DRIED BLUEBERRIES to do it. She always kept a quart jar full of the dried blueberries around in case the grandbabies needed them. But it works on adults as well. Dried blueberries giving relief from too many FRESH berries ...I know; sounds crazy; but I know from experience---- they WORK and work FAST. BOB -- So glad to see you back in the field...have followed your medical problems all along; been sending lots of prayers up for you and the wife,too. Wooded Beardsman-- been a follower of you too for a long time. Have you either , ever considered doing an episode with a female partner .... we need to show the ladies out there what they are REALLY capable of ; when they HAVE TO meet trouble head-on !! Talking about an AVERAGE female...not Bobs' wife, since I imagine she knows alot more then the average momma-bear ! LOL !!

    Hi ya WB! Came across this video again while scrolling and watched it again (you did say to leave multiple comments) I’ve rewatched several of ur videos, which builds my courage to eat what I’m not use to (laugh away male viewers, how many of u eat what Chris has eaten) never gutted a fish be for, but going to do it, I want to eat air bladder, heart, brains and eyes. Last hunting season I asked hunters for deer brain, tongue, heart an liver, said they would bring them cause they didn’t eat them, they didn’t, I even offered to pay, so, before next hunting season I’ll talk to someone at the processing place, hopefully I’ll score there. Bird hunters said they would but didn’t, I learned how from WB and Bob. Going hungry for a week makes one serious about learning “all” there is on wild edibles (edible trees as well) how to catch, clean, what parts to eat and best way to cook them (would like close up shots removing glands and cavity organs) n that week I dug up 27 dandy lion roots, sautéed n butter, delish, dug n trash at work. So yup, I’m very serious and I deeply appreciate both these guys, taking a moment of there time to answer my questions on ( I like what I say next cause I never heard anyone else say it) THE OUTDOOR GROCERY STORE. Thank u WB!!!

    youre talking alot about the lack of mosquitoes, and i wish that was the case across all of texas. In houston, we have mosquitoes the same way that south america has them. so many and even durring the middle of the day

      its so bad that during the summer its unbearable to go out at all. i mean its gets to the points where im just out in my backyard and i get around 20 bites in like 30 minutes. i really like camping and such, but its so miserable to go out durring the summer here.

    What makes me mad is that mountain lions aren’t considered endangered even tho they are, and people trophy hunt them 😭and bears too. I used to be against all hunting but anymore, as long as it’s not endangered and as long as it’s not in the cat or dog family, I’m ok with it

    • @TheWoodedBeardsman
      @TheWoodedBeardsman  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @brycedillard2957

      At least in Tennessee :p, but I think huntings is good, it has population control, and it is free meat 🥩🍖;p

    • @beastman2513
      @beastman2513 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends where you live. Different areas have different populations of animals. What might be endangered in your state might be over populating in another state. When hunters arent allowed to take animals alot of times they end up moving into villages and having population explosions. A village near me outlawed all hunting in the village limits 5 years ago. Now for the past 2 years they had to hire snipers to come in and thin out the herds of deer that are roaming the streets and parks. There is a need for hunters. They play a big part in conservation.
