Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate - KING MODE - Full Run

The King difficulty is the hardest mode in the game.
This was played on version 1.22. Main difference being the ability to cancel out from activated wands, and support for translations.
Also I had to learn how to use soul cards in order to beat this one. Basically you get them from killing enemies if you have a slot free. With right upgrades you can chain these to kill a lot of enemies, though you still have to be mindful of reloading and to stay on safe tiles.
I also noticed, that I can click my gun to reload it when empty. Still takes a turn, but allows me to stand still for one turn after shooting.

This is mad- I never go bodyguard because clearing out all the knights is too much of a headache(especially with those promotions!). Great job!

It hurts offensive play a bit but if you're the person to murder almost everything there then the king then it doesn't do much.

As someone who has also beaten king mode I think bodyguard is one of the best white cards to take, if you are playing well you should almost always have knights killed before trying to kill the king and it is one of the few white cards that neither buffs any white pieces nor does it add more white pieces to the board. I would say top 3 white cards only maybe behind ammo depot and ruin.

Could you try a run with piercing ammo and scope? I think it would be really good even with the shorter range

Piercing ammo and scope are both very weak items that need a lot of other specific black cards to be viable, idk if you you pull it off in king mode unless they were one of your final upgrades

I always go for the scope since if you combine most upgrades that lower the king health it makes the game so easy

For some reason i feel like all the modes are basically a cycle of black king loses units, white king gets units, black king wins and get backs all the units from white king and the cycle repeats until something.

They should make a difficultly so the board can never run out of other pieces… Reinforcements comes the longer u take ur time in killing other pieces
