And, it is 2017... The old Google Now's interface almost tears me up . So clean.
And now we have those ugly ass rounded iOS wannabe cards .
It's mid 2014 now and this phone still can keep up with the flagships like the OnePlus One and Galaxy S5.
its mid 2019 and this phone could propably still be used with some lineage os 15 rom
It's mid 2020 and this phone could still be used with LineageOS 17.1
Watching it in my Nexus 4 (my nowadays daily driver)
@StarK CF I needed a backup phone (which became the main one), so I replaced the screen and flashed Lineage OS 15. Apart from camera, speaker and sometimes the loading speed, it is quite usable.
Now it is again the backup one, tho.

@@s_aku The overall speed was a bit painful and battery was as you would guess. It wasn't that bad because of Oreo itself, I doubt that with 10 or so would be any good neither on the N4. The hardware couldn't keep up, the experience was just not good.
Fun fact: Now, it is running Ubuntu Touch. Just for fun, I guess I wouldn't even use it as a backup phone.

How's the battery?
Your video production quality is good. It looks premium and elegant. I've seen various other reviews and they appear as if someone with a $100 camera have shot them in the backyard but yours looks like someone has spent some time shooting and then editing the video and improving it. good going. keep it up.

I ordered this today to replace my 4S! Excited.
Had mine for 2 years now and it is still amazing. Would recommend the black carbon fiber skin from Dbrand for the glass back. No more slippage.

Apps, like video, expand the screen to the entire width when needed. The onscreen buttons are not always on there.
I dunno what the idea was but why does the flash in the camera have a a ring around it not the camera lens itself
If you buy a phone unlocked do you have to put it on a plan or could you just use it as a media device?

I have to say I really like and want this device, I've had an iPhone 4 since it came out in 2010. The only thing keeping me from jumping the fence is its compatibility with iTunes and its iCloud which keeps everything in sync with my MacBook. Is there any equivalent to iTunes or iCloud for Android devices? Im just plain tired because my iPhone lacks features that my old SideKick ID had (2006) : Notification Lights and ability to customize it OTB (Jailbreaking is not always available UNtethered)

I did read the tear down article stating that the nexus 4 did indeed have an lte chip. This maybe used with future updates

even if youre not in wifi range the added battery life and reduced cost makes up for more than a faster than already fast speed

technically yes. but then the onscreen buttons can be hidden if you're viewing video, i guess. but yeah, they should point out how much screen is left after subtracting the onscreeen buttons.

It should help. Get a tpu case (i've heard that diztronic is of the best) or flip cover (nillkin is quite nice).
my nexus 4 fell from maybe 1 foot high and the front top right corner cracked, now the top half of my touch screen doesn't work

it will work, but if you're on ATT's network I felt they were handicapping non contracted service. Could just be my experience though. In general, I believe Tmo would have faster service on stock N4s via HSPA.

So because this phone has dropped in price, I've been thinking about getting it. The only question I have is would it work on straight talk service? If anyone is using straight talk with this phone, let me know how it works.
But doesn't this phone only work on HSPA+ and not on T-mobile's HSPA+42? So is it true it will only run 3G?
