@@the15minutegamer Vortex used to be great, but when complete overhauls and gameplay systems started releasing it had so many issues because it was designed around engines plugins and main framework, as opposed to using the engines parameters as a stepping stone like MO2 does. Not gonna lie, MO2 is a much better option imo. With Vortex the amount of conflicts you will get on a bigger modlist (especially when the mod tools are released to the public) will drive you absolutely mental.
MO2 has a function to automatically fix these conflicts as well as automatically configure you load order. This has saved me 10's of hours of mental anguish. It's straightforward to setup, easy to navigate and works wonders I recommend it highly over Vortex for a plethora of reasons. So would anybody else who has dealt with mods in the past via Vortex. It's just that much better ^^< though as always the content is appreciated.
I've pinned this comment just incase anyone who's had issues.
Also fallout 4 worked great with vortex mods bht always looking for other options
@@the15minutegamer Vortex used to be great, but when complete overhauls and gameplay systems started releasing it had so many issues because it was designed around engines plugins and main framework, as opposed to using the engines parameters as a stepping stone like MO2 does.
This led to multiple complications as it expanded to encompass a variety of newer titles using different engines such as UE, Frostbite, Unity etc. It was never really worked out properly and just left in a "it'll do" functionality. It's basically like the old saying, a jack of all trades but a master of none :/
@@the15minutegamer if you're looking to add a few non invasive mods, such as texture overhauls, flora etc and build a smaller modlist it's perfectly fine ^^ if it's something such as a gameplay overhaul with a mixture of different systems, textures, animation replacements etc I would look elsewhere to MO2.
@@geddybear9108 very understandable. I will check this other one out later and see what it's like
You're amazing thank you
Yeah you got a sub because of this video
Thank you 😊
Doesnt work for me, the game loads with no mods
Make sure your ini file is actually a ini file. Sometimes it saves as a txt file
@@the15minutegamer I had to change the Starfield file name to an .exe
followed step by step, not working for me.
me too, i didnt have a problem with res evil. this is doing my head in
try like others mentioned but didnt say how... change the text file to an .ini by opening it choose save as, edit the file by deleting the ini and add it again without the txt, save and rename then its a ini not a text file.
PS forgot to add that i typed in rather than copied the 3 line ini details in the StarfieldCustom file - still didn't work.
As long as its an actual ini and launch the game from vortex
Hmm followed step by step and not working...
Nothing is in the description
Its there now! My starfield review video had a issue so had to sort and forgot to update description! Thank you for pointing out!
@@the15minutegamer no probs, thanks for taking the time
Awesome tutorial for a noob like me!
tried everything and I still cant get any of these to work
Me neither... I've watched so many videos
@urlocaldhead I got mine to work. You need to make sure the ini file isn't a text document. When you 1st make the file a pop up will happen and it's asking if you want to convert the file to ini. You want to hit yes.
i enabled the 3 disabled files (config, d3d12 and data) and all mods now pickup ok!!yes!!
Yeah, Starfield dosnt show up in my Vortex
I had never used vortex and it wasn't showing up on the list. I closed it and opened it again, and there it was. Maybe that will work for you too
you can add game directory manually
Not working
yea non of this is working
the best way to use vortex is to uninstall it and use mod organizer instead
Haha I use that one for a couple other games 😂
Thanks man!
didnt work
Thank you
this shit isnt working for me. its all green, installed and it doesnt fucking work!!! ;_;
In the 2nd line I'm assuming there should be a 1 there as well ?

That simple
I followed your instruction's to the "T". Choose some 40 mods using vortex, all of them according to vortex, had zero issues. Clicked on steam, clicked on Starfied play. And steam wouldn't load the game. No reason, it attemp's, then just return's to the play status again and again. I deleted the game, vortex, and even steam. Reinstalled every thing. And the same thing happened.
I watched you video 4 time's. Stopping every once in a while as I followed your process again, as to make sure I didn't do anything different. And the same exact result's.
you STARTED with 40 mods?!
one at a time buddy, 2 or 3 at most, 40 is simply crazy! how do you know they don't clash, and when you load up 40, you have zero idea which is clashing, start small and work up.
nope
I have tried every single thing in multiple videos. I still cannot seem to get any mods to actually work in game. :/
I dont care about any of the MODS outside me being able to mod the ship builder that is all I want. Unlock the parts, not having limits on engines. Etc.
