If I go by what you're saying in the clip, I can only imagine how difficult it is to to be able to predict your true limit before blackout. Unless every variable is controlled which would almost certainly be impossible, you'd risk being blacked out on any attempt to push your limits. No wonder even the most experienced freedivers/spearos get blackouts. Scary.
You can't claim a certain depth is dangerous as there are a lot more factors at play. Diving 50 meters would be very dangerous to me. But i know people who do that as a warmup. For my mum diving to 15 meters would be dangerous. Also.. can we stop making our sport about the damn numbers? I'd rather dive to 40 meters and have a great dive than going to 60 and not enhoy it. Let alone getting close to blackout risk. Freediving should be about reaching a state of mindfulness in my opinion, it should about joy, sbout health, about mental mastery, about connection, about friendship, about the environment, about fitness, about technique.. the depth is an unimportant sidenote.
To answer that you'd need to understand the physics and physiology of scuba diving. Short answer is: freedivers cant jump to an emergency air backup as it would introduce a lot of new problems.
Sharing information in freediving is crucial for everyone to review personal progress and method. Awesome!
Thanks for watching
Thank you for sharing information about freediving safety
Currently trying to go a bit deeper with little steps all your videos are gold, nice one keep them coming
Enjoy the process my friend
Very nice informative video. Those are the things I keep in mind each time I dive even at shallow depths, what is the state of each of many variables.
Gracias por tus explicaciones,,

Thanks for the summary of my video 🤘
Why don't free divers carry some emergency oxygen just in case?
