    I practice spearfishing and I have difficulty equalizing the ear. despite the numerous surgeries. I am trying to learn new techniques. you are good I hope I succeed by following you to learn the technique Greetings from Italy

    Been away from freediving for a year, but getting back into it so of course I am back on this channel for tips and tricks - and thanks as always for all the content but would you please consider getting a dead cat...?
    (A furry muffler for your mic). Even if you are just using your phone, you can get stick on dead cats. Or get a small shotgun mic for Vlogging. It's such a small investment which really will help the videos come out even better.

    Thank you! I was really confused about this. I’m stuck at 28m and I’m pretty sure it’s because I have not learned reverse packing and have been moving air into my mouth, using my abdominal muscles.
    I also notice, that when doing FRC dives in the pool, I have trouble equalizing. It seems I get stuck when I’m getting close to RV. So I THINK, I need to work on the reverse pack now.

      An N charge with good management can get you beyond 60m without learning reverse packing. Even if you get reverse packing, you will then have to switch to mouthfill and unlearn reverse packing to get beyond 40m (in my experience with people who struggle with frenzel)

    Hi! Thanks a lot for your video, it's very clear. Can I ask, with mouthfill, if you use the air your lungs before you reach your RV, when that happens so many meters below, isn't there a risk of damaging your lungs? Thank you.

    • @freedivepassion9498
      @freedivepassion9498  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lungs can handle extreme reductions in volume so long as you do everything right. This is self evident by all of the super deep dives using mouthfill and without squeeze.

    My equalization is fine but once I get below 40m i have difficulty. Sometimes it feels like my mouth/tongue is paralyzed and I can’t move my tongue to do the “piston” movement or try to pull the air in tight with cheeks/tongue. Any suggestions or thoughts to help with this? Or is this the depth of my frenzel limit and I have to do mouthfill? Thanks. All your videos are amazing. Excellent job!

    • @freedivepassion9498
      @freedivepassion9498  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you could do a lot of work to get a few more meters with frenzel, or switch to mouthfill and get unlimited depth.

    Thanks! A lot of useful information and smart attitude.
    So that mean, that reverse packing is limited? Coz I saw videos where the reverse packing is a "very deep eq techuque"..completely confused now ))🤔
    I easily do 40m with reverse packing for years but without progress...so the mouthfill is the way to move? Even thought I am struggling to manage the mouthfill?

    • @freedivepassion9498
      @freedivepassion9498  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Typically people can't reverse pack deeper than 40-50m. Mouthfll will get you deeper almost every time. If you are struggling with mouthfill, check out my website, I offer a course to help with that.

    How about air load at 15-20 meters, closing the glottis and then doing sequential frenzel (without reverse packing)? How would you call this manouver?
    Are there any differences between the so called "advanced frenzel" (with 1 open of the e.t.) and mouthfil?
    Thanks!

    • @freedivepassion9498
      @freedivepassion9498  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This air load frenzel is a way to go deeper for people who don't have the flexibility to reverse pack and haven't yet learned the control to do a full mouthfill.
      If I works it works, but will never last as long (deep) as a proper mouthfill.

  • @slgarrett
    @slgarrett 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The way I understood it was that as I go deeper on Frenzel, I was automatically reverse packing, but at some point I might need to add a little bit more air consciously as I approached 30m or so by reverse packing. Is that correct? I haven't hit that point yet, but I might soon.

    • @freedivepassion9498
      @freedivepassion9498  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Most people who reverse pack well don't consciously do it. So maybe you will be completely fine. But once equalization starts to become tricky, You will likely need to refine and become conscious of what is happening, until that refinement becomes automated. Sorry if this sounds mysterious.

      @@freedivepassion9498 not at all. I’m just looking to clarify what I learned elsewhere doing my Wave 2 course. It’ll be considerably more difficult to have a discussion 20+ m down should I have an issue.

    Would it be possible that I'm refilling my mouthfill with reverse pack ?

    • @freedivepassion9498

      Yes, many people do this, but it is less affective than a charge
