- In this video, I'm building storage shelves for my newly assembled Suncast 6X5 Costco Shed. This DIY storage shelf only uses 2X4 and some free pallet wood since wood prices have been sky high. This woodworking shelf project can be used in the garage as garage shelves and garage storage. Or use the storage shelves for basement or sheds.
Simple, solid, economical, and the most important thing…..your own hands built it. Excellent.

Nice work. 2x4's are quite strong but also expensive where I live in Mongolia. So I'm thinking of doing the supports with pallet wood. They pieces are quite strong on edge as structural members. Dimensions are 80cm or 120cm long, and 9.5 cm wide by 2cm thick. I could double them up if necessary.
Ironically pallets are not free here. I paid about $5 per pallet (EPAL) for used ones.
Also, OSB is cheaper here, about $23 for a sheet of 18mm thick. I prefer OSB for the shelf surfaces.
Hi thank you. You can definitely built this out of pallet wood and use OSB for the shelf surface. I had those pallet laying around so I wanted to put it to use, otherwise I’d use OSB for the shelving surface as well
