In my childhood I went to hamtion inn for a 1 night stay 2 or 3 times in my city and each time I went I took my red 3DS XL with me turn on the WI-FI on the 3DS and go to the E Shop and just watch trailers for games, Dinosaur Office and Cartoon Conspiracy ! Also every time I went I got a Hersheys Cookies and Cream bar and mellow yellow from the vending machines! Good times!

I remember when I first got my 3DS, my grandma got it for my birthday in 2012. I remember seeing all the games I couldn’t afford on the eShop and then getting all the demos until I ran out of blocks of space. And then never using the demos.
I remember all the awesome games I had like Pokémon X and Y, Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, New Mario Bros. 2, etc.
I loved that system. It was the second handheld thing I ever got (first being the DS) and I’ll forever have very fond memories with it because it reminds me of when life was simpler and happier.
Fast forward 6 years, and life isn’t so great. I’m constantly nostalgic over little things like this, we’ve moved house, my parents have divorced and my grandma, the person who made my childhood so happy, died recently. She was the foster carer for two of my childhood friends as well and so they’ve left and I’ve lost all contact with them.
:,) I wish.... Just wish, that life would go back to being this simple again 😫

I absolutely LOVE the sounds on the Nintendo 3DS. I'm listening to a song in my head 24/7. This one is one of my favorites. I love Mario Kart 7, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokemon X and Y. I miss ALL the old memories with my original Nintendo 3DS. I have the new Nintendo 3DS XL though. (I love the original Nintendo 3DS ALOT more though). Sadly 5 months after I bought a new Nintnedo 3DS XL, I went to turn on one night, and it wouldn't turn on, my heart was racing, I woke up my dad, and he couldn't fix it. 2 weeks later I got it back from Nintendo, all of my Activity Log records, Miis, StreetPass Mii Plaza, Friends was gone. All of my hard work was gone. It still makes me SO sad to this day, that I can never see any of my stuff back ever again. I remember I downloaded every demo I possibly could. I still play my Nintendo 3DS to this day. Especially the oldest games. Those are the best. The Nintendo 3DS is actually something that brings me nostalgia, happiness, joy! I absolutely LOVE doing StreetPass. My Nintendo 3DS is also a way that copes with my depression and anxiety. Let me just say, 2018 has been rough year for me. In fact my grandma actually this year. I just wish I could be a little kid in the summer 2012 again like 2018 and all of the bad things that happened in my life was just a bad dream. But sadly, whenever I wake up it's real, and it never ends. This isn't even the whole story. PLEASE let me know what other nostalgic Nintendo 3DS memories you want to hear, and I'll be glad to tell you.

@@Yerushima idk if this works but i heard you can go to data management in system settings, and then go to extra data, and delete the e shop one. I haven't tested this method yet so i will in a few minutes. Also i think its only for 3ds you can do this.

I kept on thinking of this and couldnt take it anymore, I had a dream of this song and the old 3DS eshop last night! So finally I had to listen to the song again! I was a little kid, maybe six or seven, when I got my first 3DS when it came out (along with a Wii bundled with New Super Mario Bros Wii). I remember spending hours exploring the eshop and having adventures on it! I remember those nights where I was supposed to be sleeping but instead watching the Super Mario 3D Land videos. I remember the old layout with the three blocks of info, demo, and game (i honestly prefer that). I especially remember discovering the beautiful Nintendogs+cats in the eshop. I got the demo and loved it, and when I ran out of uses I got the full game as soon as possible! Now I have the Nintendogs+cats demo game card so I dont have to worry about uses anymore! I have so many memories of the eshop from 2011 and miss it so much! I wish there was some way I could explore the old eshop I love again, any way. But at least I can listen to this beautiful song that joined me on all those journies through the 3DS eshop. Ever since the music changed, I have hoped that one day this song will return, and I still do. I still have my very first 3DS :).

This is way more nostalgic than Wii shop channel in my opinion. Which is kinda weird because I owned a Wii before I got a 3DS. Maybe because we had shit for games on the Wii and we had the good stuff on 3DS. I remember getting my 3DS for my 9th birthday and then 2 months later, my brother got one for his 8th birthday. The first game I remember having was Mariokart 7 and my brother’s first game was Super Mario 3D Land. Those were the good old days. Of course those weren’t the only 2 games we had. We had got 3DS’s to upgrade from our DS Lite’s and we had got DS Lite’s to upgrade from our Gameboy Advance SP’s. Yeah we’ve had handhelds throughout our lives. Now my brother is a complete shut-in and he has become an Xbox One player. To be honest I had also got an Xbox then a PS4, and now I have a Switch.

Man, I remember getting a 3ds with Sonic Lost World near 2014 and 2012. However, my mom pawned it a few years ago. To this day, she still owes me another. This brings back so many memories...
Reminds me of the time I didn't know we owned a Gamecube, and then all of a sudden my mum said "Okay, I'm going to give this away since you never played on it" and I was like *_what_*
I argued with her and tried to explain that I would play on it, it's just that I didn't even know we owned one and she 'agreed' but she went and gave it away anyway... If only she didn't give it away I'd have every home Nintendo console since the N64!

This just hit me hard. I am suddenly 15 again, hiding my 3DS under the covers as my parents check on me at night. I am happy, I play 3DS with my brother and my friends at school. I browse the eShop at midnight to see all the glossy promo art on the stereoscopic screen. I have no funds to purchase the games, but I treasure these memories. Now, I am almost 30... I have all the money I ever wanted to buy games in 2011. I have a job and stability. But I no longer have a 3DS. I miss my friends. I don't talk to my parents or brother... Time flies...

the nostalgia is overwhelmingly peaceful. the 3ds got me through such a hard part of my life, i miss all the people i met there, all the fun times i had with them, and wish i could've made more memories with them. rip 3ds servers, you will be missed by so many people
I remember the first time I went to the Eshop when it opened (If I remember correctly, the eshop did not exist until June 2011.) I was like "what's this?" And then this magnificent tune greeted me on my first shopping trip. I bought a demo for a game I don't remember.

When 2011 was the goat of gaming we had a thing that is a store for this console called the 3DS and we even have one for the Wii U even though we don't talk about that anymore and for the switch the switch one is running up and running

Just read the reply section, and I prefer the New 3DS over the New 2DS XL because I actually genuinely really love the 3D feature and it makes me sad that many other people don't use it... :(

I wish Nintendo would just bring this tune back instead of having the one we have now. This one is blessed with a quiet relaxing tune that never gets old. The new one is however is more energetic, but gets old after five minutes. Sure it's good, but compared to this masterpiece: The new tune just sucks.

Woof57 You can delete the eShop extra data in data management on system settings, or just remove the SD/MicroSD Card.
