Fun fact: The little dude in this video is called Inet-kun in the game's code (most likely a Japanese way of shortening the English word "Internet"). He explains how to connect your 3DS to the internet (duh) and is actually meant to resemble the two screens of the 3DS, the larger one on top and smaller one below.
You can see him, too! If you blow into your 3DS mic on the home screen, the settings logo on the top screen will spin the speed you blew. and guess who is placed hiding there right behind the internet settings icon? Inet-kun!
i had bootleg wifi that would always go out as a kid so i spent so much time in the internet settings part of the DS and MY GOD this is boppy nostalgic.

Lol I got a 3DS a month and a half ago, and once a couple weeks ago it was daytime and I just put the internet settings there and I fell asleep to it. That day ended with probably one of the most sleepless nights I’ve ever had in my whole 15 years of living for how much I’ve slept in this music.
@@tobybigball actually I meant that it was like noon when I put the 3DS XL on the music, and then I fell asleep until like 16:00 (4:00 pm) then when at night time when it was time to sleep I had an almost entirely sleepless night because of how I slept during the day lol

I spend around 8 years of my child life to connect my 3ds to internet. And finally when I got it working, there was not much left, I'll never knew how the miiverse was working, but I heard that I was not missing much. Also a few games, like Mario kart 7, and smash bros, but overall, I just felt like I missed the bus.
In my opinion, what really made the older Nintendo systems like Wii and 3ds so special from Xbox and PlayStation is the abundance of music around the store page and system menu, etc. Those kinds of little things really made them really rememberable. Essentially nostalgic.
The low-quality "playing out of a speaker" filter in the intro just brought back memories of 7yo me excitedly waiting for my dad to type the wifi password on my Blue Nerf Case 3DS XL I got for christmas that same day, I wasn't allowed to know it, still isn't. It's bc my parents are scared of what I can do with the wifi password, and it's completely warranted.
Never gonna forget the day I figured out how internet connections worked with my very own 3DS I got for Christmas like a year prior. Oh, and always asking dad to help set it up each time before I figured it out, too.
