I just had no idea anyway but I did was I went on yelp because he was on yelp and I gave him a scathing bad horrible review he came back and said I’ll give you $50 to take that review off I had and blackballed because what he did was wrong offering me money to take down a bad review is against policy for yelp yeah, he was a bad boy. I could’ve taken him to court and I would’ve gotten my money back. I would’ve been able to get another Lenovo the Lenovo is a very expensive laptop. He basically stole my Lenovo laptop from me.
If this happens to you again with anything!!!! Go to your courthouse and tell them you would like to file a small claim and you can then get a court date and maybe get your money back. If the people that botched my ipod shuffle were located where I live instead of in CA I would have sued them but unfortunately I paid them with a check instead of my credit card so I was out $350.00. Just go to your courthouse and find the Clerk of Courts and file a claim.
You can put it back on with the crack. Sometimes some devices the sealant used for the screen requires too high of a temp (or it's really old) meaning the temperature will cause some danger with the battery within, or some components may start de-soldering, etc. So the screen unfortunately will be "broken".
It's quite possible that the frame was slightly warped which would cause screen to crack easily. I've had it happen to me and took 2 screen replacements to figure it out.

Whether or not the tablet works is irrelevant. She paid for a _service._ That service was to repair the mechanical damage, which was the bad port. And she got the tablet back in worse condition than it was prior to the repair. The “chewed” edges are the result of bad repair jobs. This guy, or whoever worked on it, used an inadequate pry tool that busted the plastic perimeter of the tablet. And all that prying cracked the screen and most likely the LCD. She is entitled to the cost of the repair because the repair was bad. As you mentioned, she only got the depreciated value of the tablet, which is correct.
I'm aware of all of that. But by awarding her the depreciated value of her tablet, she had been made whole. She had the value of a functioning used tablet that did not need repair, which was the benefit of her bargain (ie: she got the value of a device that HAD been repaired properly). By giving her that AND a refund of the repair fee, she was made more than whole. That is SO much a hallmark of this show that it is at the heart of one of Judge Milian's recurring catch-phrases (search for People's Court and any combination of "bonanza" and "ching ching let the cash register ring"). I think the judge got a bit vindictive when she clearly decided that the defendant manufactured evidence, but you can't punish someone for something you only suspect them of doing. @@ShadowLinkxMaster

They’re so cheap maybe I’m spoiled, but you know my iPads cost almost as much as my phone so I would been suing for that but I don’t think I would be so in for a little old tablet I don’t even think I could fix a tablet. You do realise an IPad is a tablet. Now the reason some people buy cheap tablets is that they are only doing basic stuff on their tablet, not using it as a portable computer. As for IPads, the lightning port is a really bad design, especially when little metal pins from the plug get stuck inside it, and yes even my original Apple cable had that problem.
