I have been doing so more digging and it might also have been a Boeing 747 freighter out of Liege heading for New York, it departed LGG at 0613 GMT and was overhead NE London at 0644 GMT at FL320. With dawn breaking and tricks of the light it might have looked unusual. Flight number was HQ791/ADZ791 Compass Air Cargo.

@@RankupAviation yes, I checked for military on FR24, I thought it might have been a C5 Galaxy out of Ramstein but nothing showing. With the sun below the horizon at ground level, at FL32 it would have lit up the aircraft making it look quite interesting. Will update if anything pops up on FR24 later. The timings of the 747 seem to fit well.

Space X just splashed down but not sure if re-entry path took it over the UK.? Landing zone was Atlantic just off Florida coast so that could be it. Nice catch if it was.

@@RankupAviation I tried to find the re-entry track on the NASA website but nothing there yet, however there are a few specialist satellite tracking sites, it may be on there. I watch the re-entry live as it was being filmed by a NASA B57 at high altitude, the track definitely looked similar to the one in the video. The two thin contrails could have been generated by the two smaller drogue chutes deployed to slow the ship down prior to main chute deployment. The timings seem about right. I think it did come in East to West.

If it was a SpaceX re-entry, it might have been visible for a brief time over parts of the UK, depending on the specific path and time of re-entry. SpaceX re-entries, especially Crew Dragon capsules, sometimes create visible trails or "fireballs" as they pass through the atmosphere, even over regions far from the landing zone.
If the timing aligns, there’s a chance that what you or others saw could have been related to the re-entry, as it sometimes produces bright, unusual-looking visuals.

@@RankupAviationyes, every craft re-entering creates a fireball and trail as plasma builds up around the craft and the protective heat shield burns away, so quite spectacular for several minutes until it really slows down. It might have looked slow but in reality was probably doing around mach 5 or 6 but at high altitude.

i don't think B77 or A330 would make such contrails . We did catch A340 with 4 engines and B747 and A380 above yesterday and none made contrails like that. i think it was some sort of military aircraft on very high altitude because of the slow moving speed
