I'm curious what kind of shells and tacks are used because I didn't even make a dent in the shells I had after several minutes. Maybe I need vibranium thumb tacks.
LOL, you have to be VERY patient. . . . . I had some Matlaws stuffed scallops at dinner last night & for the longest time I thought you had to use a drill underwater to make a hole in the shell. Anyway, I found this video, I used a regular thumb tack like the one shown. I kept twisting it & twisting it, finally getting a tiny mark in it, but I was getting frustrated, so I grabbed the thing closest to me on the floor which happened to be my metal rotary cutter & started hammering on the tack. With some more twisting & some more hammering, I finally got the hole. Once I got the hole, it was easy to enlarge it with the tack and also with a bead reamer I have (but you don't really NEED the bead reamer, it just smooths things out a bit). I did this to FOUR of the shells & felt really accomplished, so it really IS possible to do it this way! Good luck!!! 🙂
I carefully tapped in a needle with a small hammer while swiveling the needle at slight angles. Then i hit it harder until the needle broke through. These shells had been out of water for months.
Thank you so much!:)
it served me! thanks!
Thank you ♥️
Очень крутая идея!👍Работает.
Чтобы сделать отверстие понадобилось меньше минуты👌
This works wikiHow is amazing

Don’t try this it doesn’t work. All it does it shatter the shell
i think your shell is too thin
it's not that easy to be honest
Great
I couldn’t even get a MARK on the shell, it didn’t work at all
If it doesn't work then I will dislike this video
