The other day I caught my first ever mirror carp,I was jumping for joy,it weighed 10lbs,I was using the same exact pack bait lol,I also noticed that turtles don't like them as much,my wife was like why are you buying so many cans of yams😂😂,so yeah man thanks for all the tips and tricks,it helped me catch my first ever mirror carp
As you stated in the video, October fishing can be fickle. 10 days ago I went out and caught 14 carp with a 16 lb’er. Then my next two times out I caught 2 and then just 1 yesterday. Might be done here in Minnesota for the year. Great videos Tom and cannot wait for next season.
I like the finger wagging and taunting of the lake over the mirror Carp. And it always fun and games until the pack bait explodes all over the stove top while being mixed - ask me how I know
Good stuff tom ! This footage had everything you want in it. Always enjoy watching you work your magic. That rare quazimoto hunch back carp was something else. And a smart squirrel will never pass up a well made pack bait.😂
Short story about my ground squirrel that came by this summer. Same thing happened but this one climb right into my open bag of pack bag. So cute got some pictures of it. Now after awhile he became a pest and scatter bait all over. Finally run him off, Truck was park about 40 yards from me and when I got to it the cute little squirrel ran out from under it. Started the truck up and my air bag light was on, thats odd. After a few days took the truck in and $350.00 later the shop fix the wiring that the little devil chew through. Moral of the story, don't feed the squirrels. Great video and great catching, thanks
@@OutsidewithTom got my almond flavores tiger nuts yesterday and my weights ordered. Thanks man for providing a place for people to get quality baits and tackle. We need more of that in the US these days.
I usually go catfishing about 2/3 of the time but tonight I'm actually gonna fish with 1 out of three rods for carp. Most of the weeds near the shoreline are now dead where I'm at and boats are usually just out on the weekends

It's slowing down here as well. Once the water temp drops below 50, I stop carp fishing for the season.
October/November are generally the months that Carp really get on the feed, you just have to change your bait and your tactics.
You were asking if that first Carp was a mirror I would consider that mirror. pretty fish
Another good outing Tom! Patience is key!
Yes indeed!
Nice. I love watching these videos
Great channel
Glad you enjoy it!

Man, that squirrel really wanted to mess with you. Thanks for the story.
My dad usually has to replace the wiring to his boat trailer every spring because the mice eat the rubber each winter around the wires.
@@OutsidewithTom Guess I shouldn't tried to throw a rock at the little guy
Im not to fond of windy fishing days, but man did it look great out there! Sick video!
Thanks for watching!
The first two are commons, they're just a little stunted with irregular scale patterns.
Hi Tom good video and big fish
I'm going to try your pack bait
❤
Good luck!
Awesome video as always man!
Thanks for watching!
The yams work great down here.
Right on 👍

Nice video Tom, ever catch any grass carp?
Sometimes, more in the rivers than the lakes.
Sweetpotato bait. What's the recipe?
It was in the video.
