- Brunswick may have just launched the best asymmetrical solid ball ever made! Not only does this ball hook a ton, but manages to keep hooking as you need to move in. Most big asymmetrical solid bowling balls bog down and roll forward trying to make it back to the pocket, but not the Mesmerize. Pay close attention to the impact angles as I start moving in, many over 7° which is unheard of for a dull asym solid! That new core design, Cohesion additive (yes, THAT Cohesion additive from the Hammer Effect) and DynamiCore2 (which was only found on Quantums) make the Mesmerize the most techy release of 2024!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based from the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Just picked this up yesterday. Lord have mercy it’s a lot of ball. It needs tons of oil if you’ve got some revs. If not tons of oil you’ll have to loft it like our buddy Nick.

@@zachbonebrake352 deflection is terrible. To see the difference, take a plastic ball and hit the pocket. Then take any reactive resin and hook into the pocket. The plastic ball will deflect off and not drive to hit the 8-9 pins. Might not even hit the 5 pin.

Hi Nick, love these review videos... do you think it's you or the ball that makes the other look good? I thought your shots with the much cheaper Atlas looked just as impressive as the Extreme Envy and Mesmerize overall.
Atlas was a great performer, even from deep inside. Where you start seeing the difference is in the specto numbers. While Atlas and Mesmerize were both able to get 7° of impact angle, the Atlas had to be thrown softer to achieve it.
Watching the Extreme Envy video again, you can see while it’s strong, it is more forward rolling for me. I had issues getting it back thru the pins when moving in.

Cover technology has changed a lot. This is cleaner and more angular than Zenith.

How similar is this to the effect? Would ot be above below or about same as the effect. I have gem and a effect and hazmat. Would this mesmerize fit anywhere in there?
It would be the strongest at the top. You’d go to your Effect after this.

So cohesion additive slides to the friction and EXPLODES off of it through the pins. I don’t need any more bowling balls but I may pick this up.
It really does dig in hard when it sees the friction!

Hey Nick, My GB5 and Widow 3.0 is Burning up due to not enough oil being put down, would thos ball be affected by this?
Those are strong balls, just the same as Mesmerize. Move in more towards the oil or get your speed up some.

@@Hlywood25 I don’t think your ball is burning up if that’s really your entry speed. Unless your rev rate is 450+, you’re very speed dominant.

Way too much hype EXJ Limited Venom pure junk ,and I’m not the only one .I know 6 others how got the EJ ball and Hate it mine is gone .This ball looks way better than the new venom. I know the core is completely different that has the gear core this is a new core design .This ball looks killer all the way around.I would love to get this soon Fall league starts up in 2 weeks

@@dennismcclintock3154 if you’re speed dominant, keep the pin up higher. If you’re lower speed, go lower pin playing straighter. 👍🏻
