    This is a superb post ... don't get me wrong but I'm not an OAP yet.... but the services laid on for the elderly / disabled is exceptional...!!!!

    So cool you got to do that in somewhere accessible. I am from a town in Brazil where they have a similar project, if I am not mistaken since 2013. Its there all year long, friday and weekends... And during summer it's everyday. Same idea, the accessible chairs to reach the ocean, the mat, volunteers, lifeguards all of it. Australia's main beaches really need to have similar projects. They have so much structure for able-bodied people. Hope your word gets out there.
