I have the stock 5.3 silverado, grandfather has a stock 5.6 titan. I already knew the outcome of that race. Not only is the 5.6 a bigger more powerful engine, the titan has a 5 speed auto transmission and the Chevy has the 4 speed 4l60e which gives the Nissan a little bit of an advantage.
Just bought an 07 titan with 90k and zero rust. Was looking at a similar year Chevy. They’re all rusted out in the north. Definitely notice the torque on the Titan.
The Titan 5.6L is a DOHC makes sports car performance. The 5.3L is a push rod better for maintenance and cheaper parts. Stock 5.6L Hp 305 TQ 379 5.3L Hp 295 TQ 335

Had a 07 Titan with 60k, wife didn't like it, so I got a 07 F150 4x 2dr with only 70k (What a DOG) to replace... Then I read how the 5.4 is a known POS waiting to crap out. Looking for another TITAN! Hands Down a BEAST !
The titans are a beast at racing but it's weakness it the rear end if it doesn't breath through the vent hole it pops seals quick also the driveshaft bearing I have one that's why I know
I drove a 5.3 avalanche ik they aint fast but win or lose racing is fun I was messing around otw home the other night and raced a 5.6 titan just like the one in this vid they are no joke beat me no problem at all
The Silverado needs tuned!!!!! Tune the power enrichment and tune out the torque management. Get the trans to shift a little faster and I wouldn't doubt that the Silverado would blow the doors off that titan
💯 AGREE!!!! VORTEC POWER wil crush that Titan!! Tune. Straight pipe cold air intake. High flow cats. That’s what I head in my 2001 z71 trust me I crushed titans and tundras every time!!!!
