planula can be quite good. its just run dependent. unless you are hitting up eclipse 5+, its equivalent to 3 armor plating. which while not great compared to some of the other yellows, it can still be highly beneficial. especially on less than mobile characters or self damage characters like rex or the new seeker. it also reliably enables razor wire funny builds. so its got that going for it too. may not be in the really good camp, but its nowhere near bad.
There's plenty of weak attacks in the game that Planula helps you against. The burning debuff in general, the machine guns from the moon wisp and clay templar, the dunestrider's health suck attack, xi construct beam, the stone titan's laser, etc etc. It's also good on REX and Seeker.
@@ThatNerdGuy0 correct. I never said that it did 50. though, I mistakenly equated it to 25. so while I was wrong, my point still stands. 3 armor plates instead of 5.
Honestly I'd be fine with it corrupting queen's gland, defence nucleus, halcyon seed and empathy cores, corrupting all the other items doesn't make sense because those items don't summon allies
To be fair on the "still dying to the blackhole death" part, we've been blackhole bombing the enemies since reavers were added. It's only fair that they'd do the same to us if they were friendly. Still agree with the "cool but not as powerful/viable" verdict given
This one destroyed my run post-mythrix I killed the guy and he killed a void guy. It was a frame of void on my screen, and the defeat screen. F tear for me (I didn't even pick it up, it was corrupted by a void dio)
Two things come to mind when I think about this item, and the first is that it makes sense that allied void creatures would kill you, because they can already do that as hostiles to anything around their void bubbles when they die - even other void creatures. The second is that even though the item can increase the number of void creatures you can have fighting for you, there is still a limit to the total number of NPC allies (drones and gunner turrets) that you can have at a time, so the item has a baked-in hard cap on creatures you can summon at a time.
so many of the items are really good
shows planula
was aboutta say that, wtf lol

It's not terrible as an item, it's just the price...
Couldn't have said it better
if only they made it corrupt just queens gland and/or defence nucleus

All fun and games, til mythrix uses ur own ukulele against u.

Also mithrix takes it from you and that’s a nightmare to deal with if you’re someone who can’t chip away from afar during phase 4
I mean you could buy the beads, clease into pearls and get those converted with a larva

It is so cool to summon a void devastator with the zoea. sucks that its sucks. :/
look, your point are fine, good even. however, have you considered the fact that the zoea is
*funny?*
