To your first point, that would be a product for consumers. This technology is too expensive right now for consumers. This is a 50k rupee product for vendors and big businesses to increase their profit.
@@varunkamal91 how they will increase profit? it will cost them more labour and time. vendor and big business don't care whether end customer is getting good food nor not. they only care about how good it looks and will it sell, if they go through each and every fruits what they are getting? imagine amount of time it will need to check just few boxes of dozens fruits in it.

And about the fruit and vegetable sellers, they have very high wastage anyway whether it's the corner shop or Big brands like Reliance. So this way they can waste the produce that's rotten from the inside and give the customers a better experience due to which return business will increase saying "Ye dukhan mei humesha acha maal hii milta hai". This process should be done at the weighing and billing portion of the sale.

In my opinion this was a balanced panel, Anupam stepped in as the good cop whenever situation got tensed and Ashneer was always the bad cop to take it the other way.

There are couple of things to take from this pitch
1. If you are going beyond your limits to make things happen, do not bring them in between the deal because nobody cares, it is all about the numbers and numbers alone
2. Just because you belong to one specific gender, doesn't mean you get the runway for your impractical approach. You will be criticised and berated
3. Do not support something or someone for the unrealistic behaviour by expecting they will understand the reality. Once unrealistic, takes years to land and see the reality
It's been more than 2 years and season 2 has ended and this company is still prerevnue, trying to seek high valuation and not selling in the industry as required.

Based on their demonstration, one can only test 1 piece of fruit at a time. How is this work rate reasonable to wholesalers who deal with thousands of kgs of fruit? this seems like a household product; no wonder they've only sold 30 ish pieces.

1. Ashneer :- built a payments system which is similar to many other systems. Claims that he reduced 2% commission for online payments but it was not his idea it was his co founder. Bharat pe is a fail in front of Paytm phone pay etc. Bharat pe itself was a 'hansi mazaak' in front of other fintech.
2. Namita :- not even worth of being a shark because all she has got is because of her father only. Born with silver spoon and trolling people who are self-made with their own hard work.
3. Vineeta :- asks for product differentiation and herself running just another cosmetic company. Says that she's ambitious but never takes any business seriously, not even her own business, and that's why it's making continuous losses.
Aman :- sold his products at low price and here giving advice to people to never play the price game. Earlier he sold cheap headphones to compete with brands like Sony and JBL and then only he could make boAt a brand. He also don't have product differentiation and now he ask others for their product differentiation.
Overall :- all the sharks claims to encourage entrepreneurs and start-ups but they take it on their ego if any start-up comes from their own market, then they starts looking at it as a competition.
In season 1, companies of 5 out of 6 sharks were in loss.
In season 2, companies of 4 out of 5 sharks are in loss.
( I know there were 7 sharks in season 1 and 6 in season 2 but I'm excluding Namita as she's not an entrepreneur, she got her position from her dad)
Shark tank India is just like Indian idol, a failed copy of western shows. These sharks are like those teachers in our schools and colleges who themselves are qualified through unfair means and then teach students the lessons of honesty.

I feel it can be a good D2C / B2C product if the price range is within 1K to 1.5K per handheld machine. It can reach a lot of kitchens and households.. However, I feel they couldn't crack the pricing model and that is the only reason they are calling their product B2B. In a shop there are hundreds of KGs of fruits. If they have to do it for each piece of fruit one by one, then they need to keep 3 people doing this job 8 hours a day. That will be an extra cost again. For a B2B model, they need to have a large scanner with a conveyer belt (like airport security checks) and a robotic segregator which will segregate the fruits into 3-4 different categories (good, medium, okay, rotten) with it's robotic arms and put them into respective baskets..
