It honestly seems possible that production edited out her saying “can you meet me over there?” Right before she said “I’m going to cooper street.” Just a thought.
I’d never ask to keep the clothes but I don’t have that kind of personality / confidence. I think to do it once is fine but twice is going to get the attention of the judges. If the designers offer its one thing, but to ask just seems really cringe to me. The way the girl (Brittany) spoke to the cab driver when it was her mistake was incredibly unprofessional. They give these girls such crazy assignments. I don’t know anything about modeling but I don’t buy Tyra’s 25 go see’s in Paris in a day using the Metro at age 15. Gosh, I’m being very negative. Sorry I’m going to stop now and go make some coffee. It’s early here in Seattle when I am watching this.
And even if Tyra managed to do the 25 go-sees in a day with the Metro - I bet those were close together and she wasn't doing it alone. It makes a huge difference if you have someone with you that can balance out the stress of it. There wasn't a film crew behind her. There wasn't a panel of judges on national television there when she had to take a breather or wasn't perfect at one of them. She wasn't forced to use photos that suck to present after being isolated from everyone for weeks in the highest pressure situation possible that's designed to make them go crazy. I don't think you can compare these situations at all and that Tyra tries (whether with her real experiences or exaggerated ones) is just another guilt trip.
Why do you feel the need to justify your emotions to strangers? People being "positive" all the time is not only fake but also a facade. Be who you are with no regrets.
EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID- The challenge made no sense! They should've taken into consideration getting to the most go-see's ON TIME! Not if they made it back on time. They could've taken away a percentage for every 5mins late or something like that, and not only for the ending but for EVERY go see. That way it is actually FAIR and based on who made the most time AND the least not on time! They didn't think this through at all.
In no way was Brittany justified, especially acting like a Karen afterwards. However, having memory issues and neurodivergency myself, I feel like this was the moment she was breaking down from frustration over her memory. She's still responsible for herself, but I also understand how absolutely stressful and frustrating it is to mix street numbers of a house or what time to be somewhere, or whatever little details you forget. You don't get to pick and choose what parts you're going to remember. And sometimes you just feel soooo confident that no, this time I am remembering this right! When you're not actually. Again, I'm not justifying her but seeing her mentally come undone, I empathize.
Speaking of neurodivergence, I'm autistic and I definitely clocked her struggles with walking straight, her lack of small talk, her missing social cues, the distress and anger when things weren't how she expected them to be, her thinking she communicated clearly to the driver when she didn't, the way she was fully panicking in the car with her heart on her chest, and the uncontrollable meltdown once she realized all that exhausting, stressful work had been for nothing as classic symptoms. I'm not diagnosing her or anything but this all reminded me a lot of a high masking autistic woman who has never been taught how to better manage her needs and just ends up feeling overwhelmed and overly emotional all the time. I agree that it doesn't justify her putting all that anger onto other people, but I wouldn't be surprised if she has literally never been taught how to self-regulate in a healthy way. And having people be dismissive of her feelings while she's falling apart is obviously going to exacerbate things.
"Renee could have a good future in modeling." Boy this aged poorly. If you don't know Renee was in jail, she was sentenced for 12 years, but was released after 5 years in 2018 for good behavior. I would say it's never too late, but Tyra renders these girl unemployable just by the virtue of the show. She should be ashamed of herself.
Or maybe remember everyone has different feelings and just cus someone has it worse doesn't invalidate others problems. Also maybe it can outwardly appear stupid but you never truly know what is actually going on and everything behind the scenes. Sometimes so much can build up then one thing which seems relatively insignificant just happens to be what pushes you over the edge.
I'm all for people's right to be upset but no one else should suffer because you're having emotions. You can be angry, sad or frustrated without taking it out on other people. The way she spoke to the taxi driver as well as the way she blew up at Natasha seemed very immature to me.
There is context for that quote. Brittany was even worse than they showed. She was insulting the cab driver because of his ethnicity and Natasha responded by saying that because she was defending the cab driver. As an immigrant she understood the cab driver.
Me thinking Tyra was giving these girls a push up in to supermodel stardom, and thinking other models would get “spotted & scouted” whilst on tv. Oh how naive I was. Tyra was nothing but a tyrant.
@@Kaastengels She was arrested in 2013 on suspicion of drug possession, burglary, committing a felony while on bail, theft and fraud. I don't know how serious those are if she had pled to - or been found guilty of - all of them. Sometimes they arrest people on everything and then narrow down - all of the above might refer to a single criminal act. She'd already been arrested that year for grand theft, grand theft with a firearm and receiving stolen property. She was actually given a 12 year prison sentence under a plea agreement. Seems she was lucky, because she served 5 years inside and was then released, presumably on probation. Poor woman. She's clearly been through a lot. Nobody becomes an addict for fun.
@@Kaastengels Two of Renee's children were born addicted, that's probably what is being referred to. She has said that she became addicted to the painkillers that she was prescribed for back pain, and at some point began using heroin.
So, I understand that Brittany is upset that she was late, but her behaviour is not okay. If what was shown is all she said, then she didn't tell the taxi driver to meet her on Cooper Street. It's still hard to see Brittany being so upset, though 😞
Brittany was out of line here. I get it because of her short term memory, but she didn't say it. At least she didn't go totally off on him, but Natasha, that was uncalled for. She was trying to be a friend.
In Britneys defense when she was interviewed by Oliver Twixt she admited she overreacted and she and the other girl where put under loads of pressure. She came across really nice in the interview 🙂
While I think Brit's reaction was unprofessional, I've always hated the "you need to be back here by this time" part of the challenges. Because that makes no sense. If they said "the designers won't see you after 4:30pm" then it's still a balance of being on time so you can see them all.
I think the deadline time is the ultimate agency that tells you the jobs you have and may want to get to those jobs right away when you get back, so if you're not back on time, you might miss them. I think Keenyah said that last time.
But even in 2010 or whenever this was, your agency could call you while you're on go sees to tell you you had a job and you could go directly there. This is some made up flex.
I think the point of the challenge is to book as many designers within the set time frame, so many girls aim for 4-5 to maximize their chances of winning. Unfortunately, that leaves the risk of being late, which disqualifies you from the entire challenge regardless. As an adult, I do see these blow-ups now and think about them in a different way than when I was younger. Like I used to think Brittany was psycho, but now I see the stress she was under probably led her to reacting in such an awful way, even though in the end only she can be truly accountable for herself. I mean, the show painted her in such an awful way, but that's how reality TV makes $$$, through showing us specific clips and maximizing drama. It makes me think about all the "villains" in every season, who were just young impressionable girls asked or even rewarded for acting a certain way, only to have their character smeared on TV.
I really don't want to judge on whose fault it is. We also have to keep in mind, we only saw what ANTM wanted us to see. There could have been more to the situation. Her asking could have been edited out. 🤷♀ You never know.
Dionne said in the Top Model Exposed special that her asking to keep the clothes was her way of letting the designers know she liked the outfits (which ... maybe it was but also a fun way to get freebies from Australian designers lol)
What makes this moment comical is even though Brittany TOLD the cab driver that’s where she was going, she didn’t ASK him to meet her there. It was definitely her own fault! So to be doing all that cussing, slamming the portfolio on the ground, and yelling was senseless. Lol And then, all the worst, in panel, it was revealed that none of the designers wanted to book her anyway. It was just bad.
Because Jessica has referenced Jigsaw/Saw movie a few times, I’m now curious if she watched any of the Saw movies and did she actually sit through the entire gore scenes 😂😂
Lmao I did 💀 saw movies were huge when they first came out and all my friends wanted to watch it. Watched every movie until 4 or 5? Then stopped cause they got too violent. Would def look away during gore tho 🫠
THE most iconic cycle of ANTM! But, with all that we know now, Brittany wasn't upset about being late, at least, not totally for that reason. I bet her nerves were SHOT, and because they "aren't allowed to talk to each other when the camera's aren't rolling," she blew like a pressure cooker. She totally had a nervous breakdown.
At her age, I was like Brittany. I would burst out easily and couldn't control myself when happened. I learned over time to control myself in these situations. I think probably maturity helped her either. This is very awkward, but when you get more mature you stop doing this. Even looking 30s years women, they were just 20s and below.
These videos have become such a comfort watch for me. Not only is Jessica super funny in her commentary, but her kindness and understanding towards these young girls who were put in such uncomfortable (and sometimes UNSAFE) positions is truly beautiful.
I am an Aussie girl and I think in general we are definitely a warm kind of breed, we certainly do not tend to be cold and stand offish especially with close friends and family. Of course there are exceptions as people differ, but I feel like an affectionate and fuzzy gal for sure! 💜🇦🇺
I love Natasha 💖💖💖 & Brittany did not ask the driver to meet her. She informed him where she was going but never blatantly asked him “hey I’m going over to cooper please meet me” So he stayed put so she could come back to find him. Brittany was wrong. Unless they have a clip where she asked him & they edited it out, it’s her fault.
I get why being late in modeling is such a big deal but can someone with experience confirm or deny that it's as strict as "even being one minute late"? That seems a bit insane.
I mean that's a part of competition & real business if u don't have to be on time so u better need to run as fast as u can, 1 min late you will be disqualified as hell.
But the challenge does make sense if you just accept the conditions. Go to as many designers to impress them and make it back on time. Anyway, you may find it fun though that Kesse (C1) did infact use the go-see time to go shopping.
I hope this is a good take. Jesse is so sweet and I bet if I was a model I would love for her to be my photographer. I had to stop watching ANTM reactions because her expectation seems to be that no model should ever experience any level of discomfort whatsoever 😂
Brittany said that the wrongest thing about this challenge is that they have to navigate around Sydney. When Brittany began (legit) modelling, she found out that she would be brought into the casting and she didn't have to meet someone on Cooper Street Well I know some women who modelled abroad. My uncle did too. They never told me they had to navigate the streets at 15
Brittany was full of excuses this season, she got exposed by the girls when she failed the commercial and she said she suffered from short memory from an accident she had when she was younger, BUT she was the one who won (or was in the top) an acting challenge and remembered all her lines perfectly.
I had said under the original video that even if Brittany would have got back on time she wouldn’t had won the challenge anyway because none of the designers wanted to book her and also her elimination was fair this episode because I think go-see round Jaslene & Dionne were neck & neck with best personality, walk & professional Renee was in the middle, and Natasha & Brittany were at the bottom they’re runway walks weren’t really the best even though Natasha had a little bit more on the higher side than Brittany just for her personality she had with the designers.
Brittany was one of my fav contestants in ANTM It’s always sad for me see this moment because it perfectly demostrates how they don’t cared about the mental health and dignity of the girls in competition and the high levels of streets they were exposed to. Playing with their dreams of being models.

Not to mention she was in constant pain because of her intinctions. When your in pain constant pain the littlest thing can set you off.
Yeah, I still think her reaction was inappropriate but I certainly have a lot more sympathy for how she got there.
The poor taxi man had no idea of her stress
@@tajsimms8976it seemed to me that he picked up on it a little, he was being very patient and composed with her
The fact that she never actually told the driver to meet her so it is actually her fault 😂
It honestly seems possible that production edited out her saying “can you meet me over there?” Right before she said “I’m going to cooper street.” Just a thought.
To this very day, I quote "some people have war in their countries" constantly. It was hilarious at the time, but puts so much into perspective.
me too!!! 🤣
Me three! It’s such a classic.
I literally just said that at work today.
It really doesn't... Its such an awful take
💀
Big difference between "im going to cooper" and "meet me on cooper" damn she really thought it wasnt her fault. 😂😂😂
She’s. A. Liar.
I’m surprised she got away with that lol
Why do you feel the need to justify your emotions to strangers? People being "positive" all the time is not only fake but also a facade. Be who you are with no regrets.
@@diegoiunou ✨narcissism✨ has to look good to everyone
EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID- The challenge made no sense! They should've taken into consideration getting to the most go-see's ON TIME! Not if they made it back on time. They could've taken away a percentage for every 5mins late or something like that, and not only for the ending but for EVERY go see. That way it is actually FAIR and based on who made the most time AND the least not on time! They didn't think this through at all.
It does make sense. Each location is its own scheduled appointment including the returning destination.
Think the point is trying to remain professional under pressure
I actually think natasha had more reason to be upset they disqualified her for 1-2 minutes that is way more frustrated
This is a great response explaining where she's coming from with this outburst and empathizing while not making excuses. I 100% agree with you
Speaking of neurodivergence, I'm autistic and I definitely clocked her struggles with walking straight, her lack of small talk, her missing social cues, the distress and anger when things weren't how she expected them to be, her thinking she communicated clearly to the driver when she didn't, the way she was fully panicking in the car with her heart on her chest, and the uncontrollable meltdown once she realized all that exhausting, stressful work had been for nothing as classic symptoms.
Natasha saying "I just wanna tell you some people have war in their countries" always plays in my head when I witness some childishness
💀
I'm all for people's right to be upset but no one else should suffer because you're having emotions. You can be angry, sad or frustrated without taking it out on other people. The way she spoke to the taxi driver as well as the way she blew up at Natasha seemed very immature to me.
natasha not answering the question had me wheezing
"Some people have war in their countries." ICONIC! 😆
There is context for that quote. Brittany was even worse than they showed. She was insulting the cab driver because of his ethnicity and Natasha responded by saying that because she was defending the cab driver. As an immigrant she understood the cab driver.
@@amacookies89 OMG!! I didn't know that!! That's so foul.
@@amacookies89woah brittany was being racist too ??
@@majeda_a yes she was.
If someone went in for a hug during what’s basically a job interview? Big’ol record scratch moment for me lmao
Crazy how as a kid watching this I loved this show watching it now it's so different
Because as adults, we know about labor laws now 😂
Same! And I use to think the judges were always right. I’m glad we grew up and know better
Me thinking Tyra was giving these girls a push up in to supermodel stardom, and thinking other models would get “spotted & scouted” whilst on tv. Oh how naive I was.
Tyra was nothing but a tyrant.
It’s truly sad how Renee’s post ANTM life went down by the wayside & unsuccessful. She got arrested for burglarizing & something else with two kids.
Im scared of the implication of the last sentence
I admit it: I am addicted to Jessica's ANTM reaction vids!!!👀
Yep I always comment and tell her to keep doing more
Brittany was out of line here. I get it because of her short term memory, but she didn't say it. At least she didn't go totally off on him, but Natasha, that was uncalled for. She was trying to be a friend.
Right? The whole temper tantrum & throwing her stuff & yelling was not okay. Like girl, we get it but control yourself
Not the designer saying black on black. He wanted to book her for more than a go see 😂
In Britneys defense when she was interviewed by Oliver Twixt she admited she overreacted and she and the other girl where put under loads of pressure.
7:12 That’s a good strategy. I bet she upped her chances of booking Kit Willow just because of that
I think the deadline time is the ultimate agency that tells you the jobs you have and may want to get to those jobs right away when you get back, so if you're not back on time, you might miss them.
I'm Australian and a lot of us do like hugs, but a lot of us don't haha. But we wouldn't hug someone in a professional setting
Dionne said in the Top Model Exposed special that her asking to keep the clothes was her way of letting the designers know she liked the outfits (which ... maybe it was but also a fun way to get freebies from Australian designers lol)
Your kitty is such a diva, LOL!
Princess Pipsy 🐱👑
What makes this moment comical is even though Brittany TOLD the cab driver that’s where she was going, she didn’t ASK him to meet her there. It was definitely her own fault! So to be doing all that cussing, slamming the portfolio on the ground, and yelling was senseless. Lol And then, all the worst, in panel, it was revealed that none of the designers wanted to book her anyway. It was just bad.
lol 😂yea?
I can’t wait for your portfolio video! About the importance of it and what should be in it as well!
Dionne trying to keep all the clothing items had me dead 💀🤣
I know this is totally unrelated but just wanted to say your hair looks gorgeous in this video Jessica!
Oh thank you soooo much!!! So sweet!!
The “It’s always sunny” music really caught me off guard.
"I'd like you to try on a bikini". *Puts her in a one piece* lol
Pretty sure Australia just calls all swimsuits bikinis.
@@sweettaterfries oooh ok! Thanks for the knowledge 😊
When Brittany began (legit) modelling, she found out that she would be brought into the casting and she didn't have to meet someone on Cooper Street
Well I know some women who modelled abroad.
Absolutely love Jessica’s content! One of my favourite TH-camrs, her humour is THE vibe ☺️🔥
16:55 Lmao Natasha really said Kim…. there’s people that are dying. I’m sick 😂
Your cat is a menace! What a princess, lol
23:15. Not the cat finding her light. The real top model right there.
It’s so sad to see where Rene ended up. Homeless, fell into drugs, and now is doing 12 years in prison. I hope her son is doing ok. ❤️
Brittany was one of my fav contestants in ANTM
It’s always sad for me see this moment because it perfectly demostrates how they don’t cared about the mental health and dignity of the girls in competition and the high levels of streets they were exposed to. Playing with their dreams of being models.
I always wondered why she walked instead of take the cab to copper in the first place
As someone who is neurodivergent I wonder if Brittany might be ND too bc I’ve had meltdowns like that for what seems like no reason but is really a buildup of stress.
Edit to add: I forgot about her traumatic brain injury, that could explain it. My dad has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident and blows up over the smallest thing. I know TBIs impact each person differently.
Anything but her taking accountability for being a brat right? Lol
@@cdmp777 my bf has brain cancer, brain injuries really do affect how you react to stressful situations. Not saying it was right, but she may not actually be able to control it
Yeah really reminds me of after I got my concussion and proceeded to scream and cuss my mom out bc she was trying to get me to eat smth (I'm hypoglycemic) and I thought she didn't believe I had a concussion.
I think she said in her interview with Oliver Twixt that she has ADHD
Yeah nothing wrong with a hug but in a professional setting like this you don't hug them, she was sticking her hand out just for a handshake. It's like going for a job interview and hugging the interviewer like no😅

I like how the one girl kept asking if she could take an item back with her. If you don't ask, the answer will always be "no". And they gave her that bikini! hehe
"The go see is actually the elevator, thats the plot twist." I cackled. Love your channel.
Every time I see this I can't help but to relate with Brittany because I've had 2 head injury in my life the first left me in a coma and School was rough ..my working memory sucks and just thinking about failing and not being able have me anxiety and anger. In professional setting I try not to make "excuses" people the reality bosses don't care specially back then mental health it wasn't it. I wouldn't lash out in public like that but I understand to my core :/
Yah I feel like Brittany deserves a little bit of a break. Head trauma really has long lasting effects and she may not be able to regulate her emotions totally normally. Add in the horrible stress of this competition and this is what you get.

Natasha was disqualified and handled it gracefully. Brittany needed to hold herself together...
The idea of this challenges is kinda like a simulation of a job interview. Some of those designers actually bring the girls to work with them, what I think it's really cool.
It's also a great way for the judges to get more information they can use to generate drama 💁🏻♀️
You know those girls all had about 5 hours sleep in the last week, were jet lagged and probably hung over and hungry. Which doesn’t excuse the tantrum, but I know I would potentially have lost it in the same situation at that age. I would feel super embarrassed about it, but they set them up to be so highly strung.
