Natasha was treated so weirdly this season. It was like she was constantly both over-sexualised and infantilised, probably because of her marriage to an older man, and the speculation that she's a mail order bride. Throughout the show Natasha has been nothing but charming and sweet! They did her so dirty!
I remember in top 4, when Tyra asked the models one by one who shouldn't have made it further and the other 3 picked Natasha. Later, both of Dionne and Natasha were in bottom 2 and then Tyra landed the last picture to Natasha and then she said: "Natasha, the other girls are clearly jealous of you." Then, Natasha was saying "Oh my God!" And then hugged Dionne while Dionne looked grumpy and not hugged her back while Jaslene and Renee looked shocked.
@margareth michelina and Natasha said if she were competing against Gisele Bundchen, she would say that Gisele shouldn't move forward either. Natasha really slayed and these girls were haters.
I thought the same thing when watching. She was always so sweet and happy and charming, and they took that and rolled with something completely uncalled for, but I guess that ANTM for ya lol
It just occurred to me that Britney is the same poor girl who had that horrible scalp reaction to her hair and when she spoke up she was ignored or waved off until an ambulance was called. She's also the same girl who had to remember lines even though she has a brain injury caused by a traffic incident in her youth, making the task almost impossible. Honestly, with those recent experiences, I'd have melted down long before Britney had by this stage.

Luckily Brittany are among those who had a modelling career after the show, so good on her. She had to change her name, though, in order to not be associated with ANTM.
Agreed. I understand getting frustrated with herself, but she could have waited until she was in private instead of screaming outside where everyone could hear her freaking out...
Also she was just genuinely very reserved and kind of awkward during the go-sees and her walk wasn’t the best. Tyra is right that if your personality doesn’t click or stick you won’t get a call back.
Same. This happens with a lot of jobs, at least in my country we need to have a psychological interview before getting hired. You can’t throw tantrums lol.
Is it me or do they tend to always say the black ladies that they look "mean?" I feel uncomfortable every time they say it to them on different seasons/episodes.
Yep! And how their eyes are dead. They they would say that to all the girls with brown eyes and since most black women have brown eyes they were known for saying that to them.
At this point , understanding how heavily photoshopped the pictures all are,(and based on Jessica's knowledge) I'm starting to think they were retouching the catchlights from most of the black girls photos. Think about the amount of light they have on the girls during a photoshoot. When the camera clicks , it is always going to reflect that light in their eyes. Specular light. Going back and looking now, to manipulate the photos in that way, then BLAME THE GIRLS for having "dead eyes" (yes, code for brown eyes)is so sickening. Intentionally causing someone psychological damage should be more of a crime.
There is also something appalling about the Black woman being told her neutral face is angry and a White woman (Renee) being applauded for basically snarling at the camera.
@@jaynehogue2459 um… no. When they are literally just standing there making an entirely neutral face and being told they look angry and it is specifically and ONLY happening to black women it’s pretty damn connected to race

Isn't it weird that Tyra used the fact that she wasn't booked by any of those clients but never mentioned their actual feedbacks. They just need to label those girls so that the narrative they're feeding the public works
@IKMS Nicole Season 13 was clearly doing dirty the most as the other judges especially Nigel mocked her for being quiet and introvert but then she forced herself to be extrovert in mid season and it looks like she's not comfortable with it but then she won the season. The same happened to Jenah Season 9 who got threatened so badly for being "cold" and not bubbly and even got robbed in top 3. Hence why she didn't let Allison Harvard win twice because of her introvertness. Seriously, Tyra expecting everyone should be loud like herself even though introvert exists. As an introvert myself, it really hard for me for being loud especially on socializing.
@@margarethmichelina5146 being an introvert is totally fine, but the reality of this industry at higher levels is you will not get a callback if you are not memorable and that is based off of personality and conversation. you don't have to be extremely extroverted, but you need to figure out someway to either use your introversion as a part of your charm or find a way to make social connections during conversations in short periods of time- you can still say/convery a lot while saying little. you don't have to be "loud", but you do need to still find a way to make yourself memorable and marketable in conversations. i understand this is a reality show and editing exists, but the clip of Brittany sitting there and not talking to the designer did come off as cold and would generally be an off-putting interaction and experience for a designer when they could just choose someone else. it's not fair, but that's just what it is.
Hold up.... So they tell Brittany no one wanted to book her and couldn't give real feedback of why they didn't want her? Tyra had to guess and give back a random reason
Right? "Maybe it was your personality," maybe? Did they give reasons? I get that in real life you might never know why you weren't booked but for the purpose of the show wouldn't they want them to know?
In the episode, the designers were giving some feedback on the models about why or why not they might not book the models. I remember that they said they didn't like Brittany's walk. Tyra knew. She just wanted to destroy Brittany's confidence and make her doubt herself for the rest of her life.
Jay - intentionally mean and difficult to understand Tyra - casually barrel roles into a minute long insult accidentally while trying to toss a compliment your way 😂
Something I noticed in ANTM is that there's always one girl who does amazing from the first photoshoot, but somehow, once they travel to another country, she becomes the target and they start destroying her confidence until the point of eliminating her befor the top 2 or 3. You can notice that in multple seasons: Season 3 (Nicole), Season 5 (Lisa), Season 9 (Lisa and Heather), Season 11 (Marjorie), and others. At least from my POV.
Brittany's hair was already short and they gave her a weave but it pulled so hard on her scalp that she got bald spots, so they took it out. Speaking of the weave, she'd got upset about the weave and they laughed at it until she showed those bald spots, and then Tyra had the nerve to say that Brittany needs to learn to speak up.
Unfortunately, she's not kind and precious anymore. She has posted a lot of problematic things on her IG. She was a favorite of mine on ANTM, but I had to unfollow her.
She lives her best life according to her pics but she now looks like every other Insta model or starlet. I don't know if it has to do with fillers, facial correstions, filters or whatever... She looked so gorgeous before and if she wanted a change, it doesn't have to be that much when you are beautiful either way.
Imagine unironically calling Tyra someone who is “sensitive to women’s experiences” or whatever the f*ck he said She was one of the biggest bullies we’ve ever seen on tv but okkkk
she's so sensitive to women's issues -- yet whips out full misogynoir telling the black model that she always looks angry and mean and needs to often up. i'm sure a white model making those same faces wouldn't get that feedback
@@HanaTheRussell Immediately assuming it's misogynoir is actually kinda racist... You've literally discounted the possibility that that might be a genuine piece of feedback that might ever be given to a black model.
I genuinely didn’t notice how much of a bully Tyra was until I started rewatching the show. I think I fell for the “you need to have a tough skin as a model” thing in the original run of the show. Which yeah of course. But she was beyond toughening girls up and into abusing those poor girls.
that is so sad that tyra is actually really good at direction when it comes to her being a photographer on the set. but when it comes to her being a judge she’s like just completely different person with unprofessional and caustic comments. the photoshoots like this let us see that she likes the industry, she likes modelling, she is very professional at this point, but antm made her so unbearable and cruel so you can’t perceive her as such anymore.
I was expecting ANYONE to bring up the client shopping, if I heard one of my dance students was going to auditions and asking to keep costume elements I’d be mortified 😂
Your video schedule works perfectly with when I have to start winding down for bed. It helps distract me from thinking about my awful insomnia and, honestly, half the time I assume I'm already dreaming when watching these episodes. Straight out of bizarro nightmare land. (But weirdly relaxing with the added sensible reactions.)
Britanny was under extreme duress and, probably, doesn’t had the temperament to handle that. Natasha was also under the same stress but dealt with it gracefully and tried to calm Britanny. Nobody reacts the same and it’s fine. PS: Your cat casually appearing in your video is adorable.
I think you have a flawed understanding of what duress is…she was under time pressure sure…not duress. And handling things differently isn’t a pass to throw a tantrum like a 4 year old. She needs to grow up and be professional and be proactive about her timing/punctuality
@@toriw4103 Brittany was recovering from a traumatic brain injury, which affected her memory and (I am guessing from dealing with a family member with a similar injury) very likely her ability to self regulate her emotions. It doesn't make it okay on her part, but it does mean that dealing with the circumstance is going to much more difficult for her then it might be for you.. for her, it was emotional duress.
Obviously her outburst was waaaaay over the top and they were gonna call her on it (rightly so) but I wonder if it's anything to do with her TBI. Emotional problems and outbursts can be a problem for people with brain injuries.
This! I have been waiting for someone, ANYONE to bring this up! TBIs come with a slew of symptoms, with emotional dysregulation and outbursts being one of the most common. Between that, the frustration of the memory issue/taxi driver, and the fact that she's only 19? This may not have been everyone's response, but I think it's unfair to belittle her as so many people did.
@@danitini14 absolutely, and they deliberately put them under immense pressure so I’m not surprised she lost it. I think in general she was treated really badly and with a lack of care for what she had been through and the physical and neurological consequences of it.
They really try to hype Tyra up as this ACCLAIMED photographer. It's funny! I will say though her direction is 10x better than any other photographer on the show.
since it's her show I guess she decides to do a good job to represent her self better she is being good at directing on purpose , if she was horrible her show would fail , other photographers sont matter they show up fir a single episode and never again .
They were insanely slavophobic (phobia towards those of Slavic ethnicity) towards Natasha constantly. Telling her she's a mail order bride, making fun of her accent, constantly objectifying her. I don't know why people aren't calling that out.
Totally agree about the “experienced photographer” thing. She’s definitely not checking that white balance! In her defence though she tells the models exactly what to do/move so she gets the shot rather than Jay and most of the other photographers just giving vague directions and blaming everything on the model! Also the muted tones on the women’s magazine shoot was definitely to make the contrast between the two shoots more noticeable. And the music 😂
I'm guessing that she can direct the models because she has a lot of experiences being directed by good photographers, not because she's a good photographer herself
@@lapatti She can direct the models because she identifies with them the most, having done that job so early on in her life and for so long during her career. She can relate in a way the non-models can't and understands the kind of direction required to get the shot. How many times have we seen Jay on this show giving very vague, metaphoric like feedback as if he expects the models to step outside of their bodies and read his mind on top of that? Instead, Tyra would give very precise and concise directions: move your hand here, look that way, lift your chin up etc.
Growing up, my twin and I would walk to school, so we had to wake up at 5 every morning, and my favorite part about those walks was watching the sun rise. Sunrises and sunsets are my favorite times of the day, but as an adult I'm too lazy to wake up early, so I mostly catch sunsets these days. 😅
I completely agree with you regarding the feedback on Tyra's photos. When I was watching this video, I also thought that she should have composed some of the photos differently to make them stronger images. The struggles and mishaps of actually having to manage everything yourself when shooting portraits from balancing reflectors and changing light setups, in addition to the years of studying composition, your camera, and lighting, definitely make a tremendous difference in the impact of a shot. I loved your commentary on this video. I related to a lot of what you said as a portrait photographer myself and I also value how you still provide a lot of information for people interested in modeling and photography
Brittany has a traumatic brain injury as a fellow sufferer. You forget things and part of your brain that controls temper and patience has low tolerance. I don't think she could again handle the ridiculous pressure ATNM put on her and other girls.
well for me it’s like she KNOWS they do commercials. she obviously had to have watched past seasons and what challenges they have. i’m not saying someone with a brain injury can’t model, but this just wasn’t the competition for her. it’s also how she handled it, she did good a lot! yet as soon as she messes up she does have a reason that is either not her fault, or had a fit instead of just saying “i have this issue and i fucked up”. i have autism and sometimes i just have to not use that as my excuse.
@@madisonculp9070 for me as someone who forget a lot I tired not tell people that but im try my best but my parents really sport me so whenever it happened to me I know it's really hard to be calm on people over time I learned but it's really hard whenwhere I'm strees (luckily for me I know some people I can talked), but it took me like 18 years to understand it and I'm 22 but I still try to not be mad and screem
I think Tyra did her first color photoshoot in Cycle 13. She mentioned she was nervous and had always shot in black and white because she learned from her mother.
@@ignacio4389 like I said.. Natasha was also 21 but she behaved differently. And if I was 21 and knew I was on national television I would damn well try my best not to embarrass myself. Idk how you conducted yourself when you were 21. But I've seen people 10 years younger than her behave better
I might be reading too into this as a black girl but I just wonder how much of Dionne’s “meanness” is just colored by the fact that she’s black and we have the “angry black woman” stereotype impacting their biases against her. Like she never looked mean to me.
I dint think its a “black girl thing, she has strong features. Naturally high arched brows and sharp lines in her face so it comes off as “mean” looking.
I actually agree with them about Dionne, though I would say she tends to look angry rather than "mean", mostly because of the shape of her eyebrows and the way they interact with her eye shape and cheekbones. But instead of telling her she should spend time working in a mirror on her expressions and understanding her face and how to work it, they just... told her to stop looking mean. She's not intentionally making that face, its just the way her face is shaped, so telling her to stop is so unhelpful.
I agree. Her face did look a bit angry, but that's just her natural resting face. Some people just have that type of expression naturally. It would've been helpful if they gave her tips on how to soften her expression rather than just telling her to stop looking mean lol. I wish they actually helped these girls on this show.
I feel her direction as a photographer is 10x better and if anything it makes her a better "photographer". As a model, she knows what they usually look for and knows they don't always say the best critiques (as much as they deal with it, she has to as well so she knows). She probably gets help with everything and I'm sure they made sure she knew what she was doing with that camera, not only work efficiently, but to make sure she looks like she knows what she's doing. Help with setting up aside, she at least tries her best directing techniques to get the best photo out of the model.
@@nathanielcraig3588 oh for sure! But they seem to always pick at everything so I figure they would say something, especially when they showed the people’s reaction to her asking at the go see.
@@jenniferhil942 True, that makes a lot of sense. Maybe it was so they looked more justified in keeping her. "Everyone loved you in go sees 😀" vs "you kept asking everyone for free stuff 😐"
They wouldn't necessarily know that she did that. Her feedback from the designers was pretty positive, so I'm guessing they didn't consider it noteworthy to mention.
I've decided, through extensive antm viewing and various other pieces of information, that Tyra isn't really a villain. She's just kinda oblivious, like Michael Scott from the Office. Just a theory
I’ll agree with this early on. When Salesha won in spite of multiple weak pictures (one so um... well saying Britney Bower of cycle 4’s pics too “sexualized” is unfair) the next year was when folks REALLY started noticing bias and preferential treatment.
She changes up her angle probably based on how she's feeling, that still her being in her power. Toxic people usually aren't toxic all the time, they have bouts of friendliness, humor and relating to you and that's what makes people stick around to see what's really up.
Renee did such a great job, she was one of my faves. Its so hard to believe that she went to prison for armed burglary in 2013. She was supposed to serve 12 years but was released after 5. So insane!!!!!!!
Agreed. Her later struggles made me so sad. I really rooted for her this season. I thought they did her dirty in the final three, and I was originally excited to see her working after the show, but sadly, life has taken her down a rough road.
I call this episode 'Male magazine VS The Great Depression magazine' because seriously what are those sombre photos??? In some pics the models look like TV drama couples grieving their children 😂
Brittany needed to learn to keep it in. It’s a rough lesson to learn. Especially on TV. But yeah. Just react the way Natasha did - be a bit put out and then just don’t react otherwise. Brittany did apologize according to interviews she did afterwards. But also: she went too far. Tyra is a bad photographer….
Production really loved the fact that she gave that tantrum so that they could use the fact that Brittany hasn't been booked to imply that it was because of her personality. Notice how, conveniently, Tyra didn't give us the actual feedbacks from those clients but, if you remember from the last episode, it was most definitely because of her walk
@@lapatti yeah. Her walk was bad. They could have made one or two comments about the tantrum and then gone into the actual criticisms about her walk etc. I’m sure Brittany was already kicking herself about her reaction to being late.
Dude you’re so right about the whole “relearning different cameras” I thought I was such a n00b when I tried to use my friends cameras growing up, but after hearing from a certified photographer that it can be hard to relearn other cameras. You seriously make me feel better about so many things I went through growing up lol
Natasha was my favorite on that cycle too...me and my bbf were obsessed with antm back in the day and i enjoy watching your videos and hearing your comments you are always spot on and crack me up! thank you for that i wish you all the success and happiness in life! and i hope you have a little party when you hit 2m subs you are getting close!!
I’m a experienced photographer, for I have had a C stand fall on me 😅 although, i did work in camera rental house … But saying that its Brittanys personality is not ok. She might be trying to ”fix” her personality for a long time after this, not realizing her personality is ok as long she is not Hanninal Lecter..
As a professional photographer I felt so validated when you said what you said about photographers hiding behind black and white bc the colors didn’t come out right! I’m in the wedding industry and when I see b&w night/indoor photos lol, we already know babe…
I like that the entire show is like a projection of Tyra's Id and reflects her PERCEPTION of what she FEELS she went through to become a model. So all these stunts and abuse are reflective of what she felt like it took to become a model.
Oliver Twixt actually did an interview with Brittany and she confirmed after the show she was diagnosed with ahd and she’s taking medication for it it’s treats stressful environments, raging outbursts. Also this is one of the reasons why I never felt awful for Jay Manual’s fallout with Tyra because he had his fair share of semi-bullying contestants from cycle 1-17.
thank you for doing a commentary on this episode! it was one of my favorites growing up. especially for the male photographer's photos as well, the lighting is everything xD
I'm sure there's things that happened that we don't know about. She definitely didn't handle the situation well at all; but also I don't trust production one bit. 😅 For all we know, she could have told him to meet her there but they told him not to, to mess with her memory issues. 🤷♀ It's something I could see them do.
Right after her went Renee and she was literally growling in her shoot! But Dionne is mean? The first shot with;the good photographer I specifically looked for the mean and she was soft and smiling wtf!
I've seen worse tantrums from every judge on ANTM😂 And, in every profession, I've observed the most "anti-social" (not UN-FRIENDLY) are the most successful. Cordial, professional, passionate when appropriate is a STRONG work ethic.
If you wanna see a color shoot from Tyra, check out cycle 10 with the Renaissance photo shoot. Top 5. She also did the Happa shoot in cycle 13. You reacted to that one.
OMG!!! i just realized that they were telling the “mean” story for Dionne since the beginning! I think it was the first or second photo shoot with the high school labels, Dionne’s role was literally “MEAN GIRL”. It’s crazy the story lines they tell with these girls.
You’re right. Brittany did have extensions in. Well technically a sew in weave. They fucked her hair up. She had short thin hair and it seemed like the weave was slipping out of her hair because she didn’t have the right hair type for weaves.
I think think what happened with Brittany and the cab driver was a simple miscommunication which was easy to happen in the high pressure situation that she was in. When she said "I am going to Cooper Street" I think she assumed that the cab driver would meet her there. Of course, it wasn't a clear instruction so the cab driver understandably stayed where he was (for example, maybe Brittany thought he was in an easy to find spot and that he should stay there while she goes to Cooper Street and comes back). I think when Brittany continued to blame it on the cab driver she either didn't remember what she said and really thought she told him to meet her on Cooper Street OR she didn't understand how saying "I'm going to Cooper Street" wasn't a clear instruction for the cab driver to meet her there.
As someone who has adhd and doesn't remember things right often, I can sympathize with Brittany. She probably just misremembered or misspoke when she talked to the taxi driver, given her TBI. When you spend a lot of time feeling like a disappointment or like you're a failure because you didn't remember something right, you can get defensive. So when she was sure she did everything right and would not have failed otherwise, she needed everyone to know she did everything right. I get that, I understand the feeling. Still, it might be because she was young at the time, but she had to learn how to curb the tantrum. Her tantrum reminded me of my brother, who has yet to learn how to not get mad when things don't go right. It was hard to watch. But like you said, it's a high pressure situation and filmed for all the world to see. She had a right to be upset, but not so much to make it everyone's business. Hopefully that was a blip in her behavior and not something she did all the time, or has done since.
29:40 ok so my theory with hugging the girls after being eliminated was a note given to Tyra by production as this became a thing starting as late as cycle 7, before this there were only rare instances like when Sara got eliminated in Bangkok. cycle 6 and she hugged Tyra (a few more I can't remember, and she always hugged ther runner ups), as Tyra would usually would just say thanks and smile to the eliminated girl. Hence, to seem a bit more personable/likable/cordial she started hugging all the eliminated girls and giving them a brief farewell speech. I do feel it worked like it made her more likable and compassionate for me and more touching like she really cared for the girls, at least how it was portrayed.
13:56 just when you thought this couldn’t get more uncomfortable, Mr Jay comes with another bombshell comment 🤦♀️ basically, what he said about Natasha is another display of that one American stereotype about Russian & Ukrainian women…
I love how obviously Tyra’s comment of “aim that bounce card toward her face” when shooting Renee is ADR. Like they act like we can’t tell when dialogue is added in post.
0:03 as someone who sturgle with this most of times I tired to find someone who can turst but its sometimes really and more stressed and I think its important to understand stress can do a lot of bad things
With Dionne it’s the way she has her eyebrows waxed. I think what they meant was that which they should have just told her that they wanted her to not arch her eyebrows as much
The constant claims of Dionne looking mean is such a common micro aggression directed at dark skinned BW. The fact that Tyra parroted the same ish Mr Jay did is gross, honestly, especially as a BW. It’s so uncomfortable to watch knowing how many impressionable girls watched this show and picked up on that.
I disagree that it is ONLY the color of her skin, it's her eyebrows more than her skin color. The way they are shaped, she constantly looks like she is pissed. Whenever she smiles and her face is not super tense, they soften up. Do I agree that this is not always the case, yes. Is it the case with this particular woman, I believe it is.
Hey, I just wanted to say something (I'm the beginning of video) I don't Tyra is the one that controls the lights and a lot the things that are about photography in the show. But I do think she has knowledge in photography, her mom was photographer she was the one that took her first photos ever. So I think she has some knowledge of what she is doing, but I'm not sure if professional can be the term or not! But just wanted to say this, cause it explains a bit why she photographs so much in the show (besides the fact she's a producer) and I also think is a fun fact!
I really liked them all at this point way back when, and Brittany was one of my two favorites along with the model who won. The drama between the models *really* starts next episode.
Dionne's male mag picture was NOT mean looking at all. She's got like a mischievous, come hither, I've got a secret type smirk/smile. I think it's a beautiful picture of her. She pulled off the softness they wanted, whether they admit it or not. You go with your bad self Dionne!!! ❤
You are not making it up about Brittany's weave. It's horribleness is infamous. Edited to add that I forgot this was after they took her janky extensions and these were just for the shoot.
It's important to remember that Brittany has memory issues, I believe that's why she was so harsh in her reaction. She actually thought she told him to meet her.
Jess’s comment s about Brittany’s hair though 🤣🤣🤣. I can’t remember what the episodes were (there were multiple), but Brittany was crying about her weave being too tight and then she wasn’t keeping up with it and complaining about how bad it looked.
I dont get why they consistently tell Dion she has a mean face. I never got mean from her, it was always more of a serious face. Like someone who has a million thoughts running thru her head.

Wasn’t she also the one who sort of just sat there awkwardly without talking?
Even though some girls were late, every model still deserved to hear feedback!
In the episode, the designers were giving some feedback on the models about why or why not they might not book the models. I remember that they said they didn't like Brittany's walk. Tyra knew. She just wanted to destroy Brittany's confidence and make her doubt herself for the rest of her life.
Came to say EXACTLY this. It's an excuse for the judges to say whatever they want.
They could have mentioned the walk turned away the designers.
Jay - intentionally mean and difficult to understand
Tyra - casually barrel roles into a minute long insult accidentally while trying to toss a compliment your way 😂
Tyra is a narcissist. The compliments are to make herself look good and fair.
Felt the same way about Kahlen in Cycle 4
Yep, you're absolutely right. So weird🤔
That is weird but then again so is top model 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There was no Nicole in Season 3.......
@@90sbaby1 the red hair girl, she was the first eliminated in Tokyo.
Justice for Natasha. She was so precious and kind. They just made fun of her. I hope she's living her best life now.
True but she also gave us one of the worst covergirl photos ever
Unfortunately, she's not kind and precious anymore. She has posted a lot of problematic things on her IG. She was a favorite of mine on ANTM, but I had to unfollow her.
@@danakscully64 Problematic how?
She lives her best life according to her pics but she now looks like every other Insta model or starlet. I don't know if it has to do with fillers, facial correstions, filters or whatever... Imagine unironically calling Tyra someone who is “sensitive to women’s experiences” or whatever the f*ck he said
She was one of the biggest bullies we’ve ever seen on tv but okkkk
7
Has Jessica reacted to the Lee Jeans shoot from season 3? The gaslighting of Kelle was UNREAL.
she's so sensitive to women's issues -- yet whips out full misogynoir telling the black model that she always looks angry and mean and needs to often up. i'm sure a white model making those same faces wouldn't get that feedback
For real! Got secondhand embarrassment 😳
Me too she was tripping 🤣🤣🤣
and the looks they gave her like “omg girl fr?”
Saaaame!!! Like what the heck! She got all the products AND got to go on the Challenge with Natasha lol
🐈 ❤️ the star of the show !
It's not fine to scream to other people. Not at all
Natasha did not try to calm her she made it worse and just invalidated her feelings.

@@DiMagnolia my dad does too, he had a TBI when he was 11, and even at 63 years old he struggles with emotional outbursts and memory loss.
omg i didn't see this episode so I didn't even know, but that makes sense why they're trying to trigger her which is so sad
wish we had confirmation from the designers that none of them ACTUALLY didn’t want to book brittany 😭🤨 i wouldn’t put it past them to lie for the plot
They really try to hype Tyra up as this ACCLAIMED photographer. It's funny! I will say though her direction is 10x better than any other photographer on the show.
since it's her show I guess she decides to do a good job to represent her self better
she is being good at directing on purpose , if she was horrible her show would fail , other photographers sont matter they show up fir a single episode and never again .
They were insanely slavophobic (phobia towards those of Slavic ethnicity) towards Natasha constantly. Telling her she's a mail order bride, making fun of her accent, constantly objectifying her. I don't know why people aren't calling that out.
I just want someone to love me as much as Jessica loves Square Space. 😭
Me + Squarespace = forever
I love how Tyra says 'Jay said" about the shoot, as if she wasn't there with the camera.
I am sorry, but telling a very conventionally beautiful girl that men don’t understand her kind of beauty is just being mean for absolutely no reason
Yeah that was such a strange tangent
We appreciate Jessica for her effort and hard work on this channel. God bless you.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you :)
With baited breath I waited for this

@Madison Culp you kind of just ignored part of the comment, but okay.

I think Tyra did her first color photoshoot in Cycle 13. She mentioned she was nervous and had always shot in black and white because she learned from her mother.
Problematic or not that photo shoot was stunning.
It was actually Cycle 10, the renaissance photo shoot and it was mainly with indoor light that she nervous with, but it was a gorgeous shot regardless

I completely agree with u. None of her pics came out mean. We already know she's biased about dark skinned woman.
I said the same exact thing
Her pictures weren't strong though..........
I wish she would just direct instead of Jay.
I’m surprised that they didn’t say anything about the contestant that asked for stuff at each go see.
I'd be surprised if that whole panel hadn't tried to snag free things in their time in the industry, models or not.
Agreed
I’ll agree with this early on. When Salesha won in spite of multiple weak pictures (one so um... well saying Britney Bower of cycle 4’s pics too “sexualized” is unfair) the next year was when folks REALLY started noticing bias and preferential treatment.
She changes up her angle probably based on how she's feeling, that still her being in her power. Toxic people usually aren't toxic all the time, they have bouts of friendliness, humor and relating to you and that's what makes people stick around to see what's really up.
26:13 he did NOT just say "Flamingo Dancing" omfg I can't
its the villain story for the taxi driver. Now he hunts young models on go sees after being so brutally and falsely maligned on TV.
Renee did such a great job, she was one of my faves. Its so hard to believe that she went to prison for armed burglary in 2013. She was supposed to serve 12 years but was released after 5. So insane!!!!!!!

@@cristinayael9977 Right?! I found out about it a couple years ago and was super shocked.

I call this episode 'Male magazine VS The Great Depression magazine' because seriously what are those sombre photos??? In some pics the models look like TV drama couples grieving their children 😂
Natasha’s photo looked like ads dor Calvin Klein 😍😍 She’s gorgeous and really photogenic!!
“If you haven’t had a c stand fall on you you’re not an experienced photographer” I felt that
Brittany needed to learn to keep it in.

But saying that its Brittanys personality is not ok.
Goated comment. Down to the internalized biases against certain features and equating criticizing someone’s natural appearance to coaching.
What's so crazy is Tyra would be a great coach photographer for girls that want to become models, but not as a show.
They really did Renée dirty with that haircut. It's like Sharon Stone's mullet from Casino
Tyra’s shots are giving me 2000’s Hollister vibes

Tyra's shots ALWAYS have this tone! The Great Wall, the birds one...

The amount of specifically black girls who they said photographed “mean” or “harsh” over the course of this show…
Right after her went Renee and she was literally growling in her shoot!
Brittany was a bad walker and awkward irl but damn the girl was photogenic. One of the shows most naturally gifted models imo
If you wanna see a color shoot from Tyra, check out cycle 10 with the Renaissance photo shoot. Top 5. She also did the Happa shoot in cycle 13. You reacted to that one.
Oooh Cycle 10 Renaissance photos were good
she will say Tyra didn't edit those photos anyways
I didn't like that photo shoot. To me it's as if she tries to hide her inexperience, whether is with b/w or shadows.
OMG!!! i just realized that they were telling the “mean” story for Dionne since the beginning! I think it was the first or second photo shoot with the high school labels, Dionne’s role was literally “MEAN GIRL”. It’s crazy the story lines they tell with these girls.
The way Dion and other DSBW constantly gets hit with historically rooted microaggressions is wild
Thank you for new ANTM video. Love your reactions.
Hungover, watching this with my doordashed McDonald's ❤️ this is perfect lol
Jay is a "particular" man. He shouldn't be talking about a woman's intimate life. Just sayin'...
When I saw the first half I frantically went looking for the second and I'm so glad it's here now lol

Hey Jessica I just wanted to say how much I love these antm reaction videos
thank you so much for watching Lila!!
13:56 just when you thought this couldn’t get more uncomfortable, Mr Jay comes with another bombshell comment 🤦♀️ basically, what he said about Natasha is another display of that one American stereotype about Russian & Ukrainian women…
The way they tell Black women they look mean or angry is a consistent microaggression throughout the seasons.
I love Dionne. Her personality was so cute and bubbly! I don't think they picked her best pictures. Ugh. Love her.
Yes! This!! ☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾
It's amazing how they sugar coat ANY situation. Sugar coating is another acronym for LIES....🙄
Just let Tyra do the shoots, shes the only one, surprisingly, that gives direction 😭
"The experienced photographer..."
Gilles Bensimon: *coughs in background*
You are not making it up about Brittany's weave. It's horribleness is infamous.
Edited to add that I forgot this was after they took her janky extensions and these were just for the shoot.
Brittney took such stunning shots but that personality/ victim mentality she had throughout the season really dimmed her shine.
Yeah hopefully that was an immaturity thing & she has been able to grow out of it!
It's important to remember that Brittany has memory issues, I believe that's why she was so harsh in her reaction. She actually thought she told him to meet her.
"So far the male photographer's photos are much better"
This is my shocked face 😲😲😲
Call her out, get her Jessica 😂
Mr Jay is like a cat. He doesn't like being touched, he likes to play with people and he stayed out of the water
Tyra with the literal Borat impression when she talks to Natasha wtf
Brittany’s extensions in that second photo shoot 😂 they cut her hair off just to give her a mismatched mullet
Jess’s comment s about Brittany’s hair though 🤣🤣🤣. I can’t remember what the episodes were (there were multiple), but Brittany was crying about her weave being too tight and then she wasn’t keeping up with it and complaining about how bad it looked.
