started watching this ani for fun, now I feel sad about the story line. that main character is from Korea and forcely became a Pilot of Japan Empire. That kind of shitty story happened many times in that time.

They couldn’t - Corsair could outrun and turn with zeros to some extent, and is generally considered a superior airplane. The zero pilots were kamikazes, not trained in dogfighting, and the Zeros themselves were carrying bombs making them heavy and not manuverable

They are in fact much more advance. Tbh first I was like yes very nice plane but why Japanese pilots are afraid of it and then after I look at the dive scene from this animation and it was like a alien bug swarm attacking humans which is honestly terrifying
The Zero is indeed superior in terms of maneuverability but not superior in terms of durability. This aircraft is not even equipped with armor protection or bulletproof glass at all for the reason that if it were added it would increase the weight of the aircraft which would reduce its maneuverability. That's why this aircraft is very challenging for the pilot because the pilot must do best to avoid being shot by the enemy or he will die. This plane is indeed dangerous, but as time goes by and the allies' technology begins to advance, this plane is no longer a threat to the allies. Even some Japanese fighter pilots considered the Corsair aircraft to be the most powerful fighter aircraft.
