One moment you're laughing, then you're hit with this: *"I miss him dreadfully. With his death, a great light has gone out on this planet. We shall never see his like again."* Just a reminder of what's really important in life!
Years ago, the company I worked for had a company house in Hampstead which I used for some years. Often, in the evening, going to the pub, or to a dine, one would see many well known TV personalities and actors that resided in the area. We had a few drinking sessions with some of them too, - Marty Feldman and O'Toole amongst them - Marty was usually high as a kite, but Peter was an epic piss-artist. He had a wonderful voice, second only perhaps to Burton. The bastard still owes me £50 too.... I saw Blessed at the RSC at Stratford in Henry V. He was fucking brilliant. th-cam.com/video/mKHihAPr2Rc/w-d-xo.html. Very memorable....!
Peter O Toole, Richard Burton and Trevor Howard could drink people under the table, the chairs, the couch, etc. Great artists but imagine the hangovers...Blessed makes a nice tribute at the end to O'Toole
Brian if memory serves dabbled in various different Martial Arts. In one of his books he speaks about Wrestling with a rescued Gorilla named Ghergis (may have butchered the name) where he would use Judo to counter the Ape. He also said that when Ghergis would get him in a tight hold he would grab his dick and he would release him lol. The best way to explain Brian Blessed is that he is a hard on even when he's flaccid haha.
Ah, Brian, that's true, loyal mateship. An honest, ernest friendship with all the ups and downs of two great personalities. O'Toole was one of a kind and I too miss him terribly. I'm a retired film and TV journalist and one of the great regrets of my life has been not ever having the opportunity to meet you or Mr O'Toole. I now live in Tasmania and the chances of us meeting are virtually impossible. I just want to let you know I respect, and admire your talents and your amazing life. All the very best to you. Cheers, BH
I believe he called him a drunken shit and told him not to pull and crap on the set or he’d toss him into the river Thames or something shit like that. 😂
Blessed talking about how awesome Blessed thinks Blessed is. According to him, Lucas didn't make a move without Blessed's advice since Blessed's 30 seconds of screen time was so critical to the Star Wars universe...
I bet George wishes he had listened though. Perhaps you should do a video called "WTF happened to George Lucas?" in the vein of the Jo-blo TH-cam channel? I mean we know what's happening to Brian, but George? Not so much.
Back in the day when actors were true to their craft. The world has become a darker age, with Biotch Spears, Hanna Montana knock off, picking a bathroom to identify with and keeping up with whomever. I wonder if the Victorian age felt the same when they lost Michelangelo, Davinci, Van Gogh or Octave Chanute. We as a species are diminishing.

Er hes still alive
@@paulamarshall07 he means O'Toole sir
This story and its narration have everything.
If this was literally anyone else, I'd call it out as self-aggrandising bullshit. But Blessed makes me believe it.
This video is Glorious! I could listen to Mr. Blessed all day
Brian Blessed's True Hollywood Stories

"There stood the terror of the universe, O Toole."
It is like listening to Charlie Murphy and Rick James, lol!
fucking outstanding
this is truly Magnificent!
heartfelt
moral:
if your going to call Blessed and ask him to be your Banquo:
lock the fucking front door first
The guitar at 1:28 is Alessandro Alessandroni from Red Dead Revolver track 37
Peter O Toole, Richard Burton and Trevor Howard could drink people under the table, the chairs, the couch, etc. Great artists but imagine the hangovers...Blessed makes a nice tribute at the end to O'Toole
Don’t forget Richard Harris. Iirc he and Peter were drinking buddies.
You would not want to pick a fight with the man who punches polar bears
Right in it's nose.
Considering he only came to get his Autograph......

To many these days, it sounds ridiculous, but by standards back in the day, it's actually tame. Both are legends.
This is funking awesome I wish this was a film or TV show.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂This is so fucking comedy 😂😂😂😂😂
Tour Guide "And if you all look to your right you will se Brian Blessed fingering Peter o'toole, a typical British greeting..." lol
A rough fingering from a big Englishman is to be feared more than a Chinese "Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique".

God this is amazing. Thanks
Brilliant!!!!
O’toole was tougher than you think. But even he knew not to take his chances against a fired up Brian Blessed.
never fight drunk with a sober man who's bigger than you
...And is also an ex-paratrooper, lifts weights everyday and is built like a cannonball!
Although his wiki page states RAF..
That last part made me cry
Peter O'Toole was an Irish Loki
So that'd make Blessed the English Thor.
I'm surprised this Legend hasn't done standup Comedy.
he'd be better at it than Hannah Gadsby or Ricky Gervais in my opinion
@@Loomismusic Yeah he is.
He outshines the regulars when he presented "Have I got news for you".
@@TheMightsparrow Not sure outshines is the correct phrase is there a phrase that is more akin to volume, drowns out?
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. I notice he never tried getting physical with Richard Harris :)
Harris would've had more sense😉
@@ck58npj72 He probably knew Harris would’ve kicked his ass.
@@justinneill5003 lol
@@justinneill5003 You think?
@@davidr3789 Yes
Is this true?
I do hope so.
'Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War"

Why did Siân Phillips divorce him? I haven't a clue
Does anybody know the names of the songs and fantastic story's
Fight music by D12
he must of changed his mind ,he was in Macbeth with POT ,
That was awesome.
Generous Honest Well-becoming.
Wonder if Blessed ever crossed swords with Ollie Reed?
Well, the Earth’s still in one piece, so I’d say no.
😉
I believe he called him a drunken shit and told him not to pull and crap on the set or he’d toss him into the river Thames or something shit like that. 😂
Real life steven toast
this is great what is it?
Given a battle of rapiers though. I wonder.

Whys he always got it in for o'toole now he's dead? I never heard of any of this prior?
Thesbian.

Michelangelo as a Victorian artist? Lol. Nostalgia is mental poison built on false memories, as your statement so fully exemplifies.

Like Leonardo da Vinci painted the last supper during queen Victoria's reign.😂😂😂
The music for round 4 is awful.
