I like the Argentinian accent! I think it sounds cute!🤗 I'm from the States and I study Spanish. Most of the Spanish speakers that I meet speak 🇲🇽 Spanish. But I do appreciate other varieties of Spanish.

I talked to an Argentinan girl speak, all of a sudden I wondered why she was saying somethings in Brazilian Portuguese. Argentinian Spanish: se llama = sounds like "se shama" Brazilian Portuguese: se chama = sounds like "se shama" I think Argentinians understand Brazilian Portuguese, more so than other Latinos. That is my guess anyway.

This was awesome. On the vowel changes, I learned that the hard way when visiting Argentina, but didn’t understand til now! My hubby’s uncle said “nunca habli”. I knew he meant, “hable” (“I said”), i just couldn’t understand it and my hubby couldn’t explain it. Thanks!! A fun note- there is a phrase “noni noni” which is a way of saying “nite nite” to babies. It was actually written on a new baby mattress. It was the only time I’d ever heard/seen outside of my hubby saying it to our baby.

I’m learning Spanish in the spring for university and wanted to focus on the Rioplatense region. Sounds very much like a combination of Italian and Portûguese pronunciation while maintaining the Spanish vernacular. This video has filled me with incredible hope for my Spanish class as I already speak Italiano and Portûguese and have learned Latin.
Its actually pretty good! congrats. I am a porteña, born and raised in the city of BA, and I cant fake an accent when I make my videos, my argentian accent shows too much. Some people suggested I spoke in a more neutral accent in my videos to reach a wider audience but i fail miserably at it if I try.

I support you brother… that was funny… I’m Argentinian but I live in California since 2001. And the funny part is even tho I speak English and “ I know I have an accent “””” the can tell I’m Argentinian right away. Some American people think I’m Italian for the accent also, and to be honest in my 30 years living in argentina I never noticed that we speak with Italian accent until I saw an American documentary about Argentina. In reality there is no need for us to analyze that, we just speak, that’s it. But yes depending where you go is funny how the language sounds.
Another interesting accent to cover would be the Equatorial Guinean Spanish accent..I have noticed that their accent has elements of Castillian Spanish mixed with local African languages such as Fang..

Mmm the Córdoba accent has a sing when you speak. It Is a special sing. And all the provinces of the north have their own characteristic accent and sings not only Córdoba. For ex: Mendoza, Corrientes, Santa Fe, La Pampa, Tucumán, etc. Thanks For your video, it was very cool

Well, I’m from Buenos Aires and I’m getting to know that we don’t pronounce the D when it’s between vowels or the S in words such as “estás”… 🤣 Actually, we do pronounce both. It depends on the region one comes from and on the education level.
My father is from Buenos Aires as well and this is the first time I hear of the “D” and “S”. I agree with you that it depends on the region/educational level. Almost all the argentines I know pronounce both.
They are pronounced but softer, sort of aspirated when they're between consonants and we're speaking fast. Cases when they aren't pronounced are definitely the less and usually it has to do with certain slang or educational level.

The transformation of -os in -oy, -as in ay and -es in -i is very interesting. The same change happened in the vulgar Latin spoken in Italy at the beginning of the middle age. For this reason we don't have the plural -s like the others romance languages

Hola, muy interesante tu tutorial, soy argentina y me gustaría comentar que algunas de las reglas que explicaste están muy bien (por ejemplo: uso de vos en lugar de tú, la diferencia al conjugar los verbos usando el pronombre vos- vos sos en lugar de tú eres, etc.-, la pronunciación de "ll" y de la "y"). Sin embargo quiero señalar que muchas de las expresiones que usás son vulgares y dependerán del nivel cultural de las personas con las que hables como sucede en cualquier país. Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que actualmente, en Buenos Aires hay ciertos barrios donde viven muchos extranjeros que vienen de Perú, Bolivia, Paraguay, Venezuela en busca de una vida mejor. Así que en esos barrios se ha perdido mucho el verdadero acento porteño y se escucha que usan mucho la palabra "amigo" como las frases que utilizaste vos. Igualmente creo que en Argentina tenemos tantos acentos como provincias. Cada provincia tiene su particularidad, si bien el cordobés de algunas ciudades de esa provincia es inconfundible. Con respecto a la palabra "boludo/a" te cuento que en general es considerada un insulto, es verdad que es utilizada pero de manera muy muy informal y por algunos grupos, pero a nadie se le ocurriría decirle "boludo" al jefe o a un vecino ni tampoco decirle "boluda" a la maestra. De hecho, en el ámbito escolar es considerada mala palabra (slang & disapproving). Por otra parte, la palabra "che" es considerada ill-mannered or coarse aunque no un insulto. Igualmente quiero felicitarte por el tutorial y aunque se nota un acento medio centroamericano al intentar hablar "argentino" lo hacés bastante bien👍

As a person who only know very few Spanish, I can recognize few distinctive things in Argentinian Accent: The Italian extending accent in Argentinian accent, the swallowing of S letter, and the SH for LL

I’m learning Spanish in the spring for university and wanted to focus on the Rioplatense region. Sounds very much like a combination of Italian and Portûguese pronunciation while maintaining the Spanish vernacular.
This video has filled me with incredible hope for my Spanish class as I already speak Italiano and Portûguese and have learned Latin.
Its actually pretty good! congrats. I am a porteña, born and raised in the city of BA, and I cant fake an accent when I make my videos, my argentian accent shows too much. Some people suggested I spoke in a more neutral accent in my videos to reach a wider audience but i fail miserably at it if I try.

I’m Argentinian but I live in California since 2001. And the funny part is even tho I speak English and “ I know I have an accent “””” the can tell I’m Argentinian right away. Some American people think I’m Italian for the accent also, and to be honest in my 30 years living in argentina I never noticed that we speak with Italian accent until I saw an American documentary about Argentina.
In reality there is no need for us to analyze that, we just speak, that’s it.
But yes depending where you go is funny how the language sounds.
Another interesting accent to cover would be the Equatorial Guinean Spanish accent..I have noticed that their accent has elements of Castillian Spanish mixed with local African languages such as Fang..

Mmm the Córdoba accent has a sing when you speak. It Is a special sing. And all the provinces of the north have their own characteristic accent and sings not only Córdoba. For ex: Mendoza, Corrientes, Santa Fe, La Pampa, Tucumán, etc.

Well, I’m from Buenos Aires and I’m getting to know that we don’t pronounce the D when it’s between vowels or the S in words such as “estás”… 🤣
Actually, we do pronounce both. It depends on the region one comes from and on the education level.
My father is from Buenos Aires as well and this is the first time I hear of the “D” and “S”. I agree with you that it depends on the region/educational level. Almost all the argentines I know pronounce both.
Not pronouncing the s was something i noticed early on when watching Argentinian telenovelas.
They are pronounced but softer, sort of aspirated when they're between consonants and we're speaking fast. Cases when they aren't pronounced are definitely the less and usually it has to do with certain slang or educational level.
Everybody aspirates the S when it's not at the end or beginning of a word

The transformation of -os in -oy, -as in ay and -es in -i is very interesting. The same change happened in the vulgar Latin spoken in Italy at the beginning of the middle age. For this reason we don't have the plural -s like the others romance languages

One thing you missed regarding the grammar and worth mentioning: argentines never use the present perfect (“he visto”), they just use the past simple instead (“ví”) - makes life easier :)

Hola, muy interesante tu tutorial, soy argentina y me gustaría comentar que algunas de las reglas que explicaste están muy bien (por ejemplo: uso de vos en lugar de tú, la diferencia al conjugar los verbos usando el pronombre vos- vos sos en lugar de tú eres, etc.-, la pronunciación de "ll" y de la "y"). Sin embargo quiero señalar que muchas de las expresiones que usás son vulgares y dependerán del nivel cultural de las personas con las que hables como sucede en cualquier país. Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que actualmente, en Buenos Aires hay ciertos barrios donde viven muchos extranjeros que vienen de Perú, Bolivia, Paraguay, Venezuela en busca de una vida mejor. Así que en esos barrios se ha perdido mucho el verdadero acento porteño y se escucha que usan mucho la palabra "amigo" como las frases que utilizaste vos. Igualmente creo que en Argentina tenemos tantos acentos como provincias. Cada provincia tiene su particularidad, si bien el cordobés de algunas ciudades de esa provincia es inconfundible. Con respecto a la palabra "boludo/a" te cuento que en general es considerada un insulto, es verdad que es utilizada pero de manera muy muy informal y por algunos grupos, pero a nadie se le ocurriría decirle "boludo" al jefe o a un vecino ni tampoco decirle "boluda" a la maestra. De hecho, en el ámbito escolar es considerada mala palabra (slang & disapproving). Por otra parte, la palabra "che" es considerada ill-mannered or coarse aunque no un insulto. Igualmente quiero felicitarte por el tutorial y aunque se nota un acento medio centroamericano al intentar hablar "argentino" lo hacés bastante bien👍

As a person who only know very few Spanish, I can recognize few distinctive things in Argentinian Accent: The Italian extending accent in Argentinian accent, the swallowing of S letter, and the SH for LL
