The only game where having more than 50 percent crit means you wont crit where as any crit value 1-10 is a guaranteed critical
I was playing the blue lions on maddening and Claude kept on critting on byleth in this mission

Thank you! And believe you me, there was zero intention behind Ignatz being the MVP that he ended up being. Genuinely thought he wouldn't make it through Chapter 13, but I guess I underestimated his plot armor.

Every maddening run I see, Ignatz becomes a beast if you invest in bows, his hit is really good and he just gets a bunch of amazing combat arts throughout the ranks.
Ignatz is strangely better in maddening mode than he is on hard. Probably because his reliability means more.
Glad I’m not the only one that was bugged by how Claude wouldn’t stop bothering Byleth about Jeralt’s diary presumably right after his death.
Dude normally has enough tact to at least PRETEND not to be that uncouth.
As someone who finally got the game for Christmas, I was like, "Holy shit Claude, no! Fuck off!"

@@zaneheaston8254 unless you count Chrom, since he's Lucina's dad. And Rudolph from Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia (Alm's father), since you have to kill him basically right before the final act.

I love how the plot is somehow improved with the cutscene and timeskip deaths being due to Byleth and Claude breaking the rules.

@@Brass319Rhea dies afterwards, partially due to the actions of Thales, our faithful referee. The infraction was caught and eventually punished by deducting the closest thing Byleth had to one family member.
One of the main villains reduced to a ref that enforces arbitrary rules enforced by the player is the best thing I've ever seen!
The whole "As punishment for violating the rules you will be deducted one family member." It's most out of pocket shit I've ever heard and I live for it.

Ignatz using lorenz as a meat shield was hilarious and the “glad everyone is alive” to lorenz dying in slow motion was the cherry on top 😂
Also came back to say that finding a McDonald's ad that Claude's voice actor took part it was probably the funniest shit I've heard/seen in a while

Most challenge videos either ignore the story, barely talk about it, or meme the whole thing, yet this somehow managed to be both memes and an accurate telling of the story. Good job.
The running gag of Lorenz being dead during all of his story beats got a chuckle out of me.
Ignatz is my favourite character, so seeing him not only be useful, but having the "Deus ex MachIgnatz" term be coined was an absolute delight to see. This was a great video, the comedy was on point!

They probably made Claude and Dimitri absent because only having Edelgard absent would be too suspicious for new players who don’t know.

I had initially planned for him to replace Ignatz after he had met his demise alongside Lorenz in Chapter 13, but we all know how that turned out.
ash is my little baby femboy and I love him! He is so cute! (Also underrated!)
Ashe is my best fighter, what are y'all doing? He just runs around sniping everybody across half the battlefield (and burns through one bow a battle)
I used him in my first play through with BL and he was an absolute menace as a sniper. Fast forward to me recruiting him in Verdant Wind and he was so useless as both an archer and a knight he became extremely familiar with the bench for the majority of the game.

I just love how you somehow made the plot contrivances involving Jeralt and the time skip reasonable because of your rule set.
The dedication to make every combat sound be the GBA sounds alone makes this video impressive.
But everything else makes it amazing.
And Lorenz fought for his morals to the bitter end.

The editing in this video is really good, you can really tell a lot of effort was put into each second & paired with the really good sense of humor makes watching the whole thing feel worthwhile. Claude trying to get Jeralt's diary is probably the standout moment from the whole run lmoa.
I'm only 3 minutes in, but oh my gosh your editing is amazing. The pokemon intro jokes and "grandma mom daughter" both had me actually laughing out loud.
I came to check what channel this was because I assumed you had millions of subs...i think you've got a VERY bright future ahead if you keep up this quality

I've always wanted to see a "Hidden talents only" run. You have to use classes and weapons related to each character's hidden talents.
Probably only an early game challenge as I imagine that once you get the talent to blossom the game plays out like normal, but it may still make for an interesting game as you can see characters doing things you wouldn't traditionally expect.

Crimson Flower would probably be the best route for that, since Edelgard has Reason for her budding talent. Dimitri and Claude have Riding and Axes respectively, so those probably wouldn't be too different from regular runs.
@@Lauren-tg5jjah, but in Three Hopes, Dimitri's (and Bernadetta's) Riding Budding Talent is revealed to lead to Great Knight, so I imagine you'd need to rush Dimitri to at least Armored Knight as well as Cav before the time skip (assuming you're not relying on repeating months/infinite Normal battling), and also forcing Bernadetta to use two of her weapon anti-proficiencies in Axes and Armour for the challenge
I wonder if you'd use the Three Hopes Innate Abilities system for characters who don't canonically have a Budding Talent in Three Houses? Though I don't know if it's even possible to find eight spare Dark Seals in a run to take Felix, Sylvain, Ignatz, and Balthus all the way to Dark Bishop 🤔

Good question; I’ve been asking that to myself as well. I don’t plan on being a full-on FEtuber as there are other series and games I’d like to cover, too, but since Fire Emblem is such a big part of me, this surely won’t be the last time I do something with it. So, i’m new to your channel and this run came up in my recommended and I have to say, you were able to keep my attention the entire video. The sound effects for attacks, boosts, combat arts were really consistent (as were Lorenz’s demise), and the jokes were really creative/ unique and most of all, hilarious. A heavily underrated video for the Three Houses community.
