    Hi, some extra tips I learned from athlean x is breathe out before you squat. It worked. I'm now in a wheelchair

    It is impressive that he can squat this upright with such a wide stance. His hip mobility is really good.

    I don't know whether this is it's actual purpose but the way Toshiki throws his elbows back and squeezing his back and shoulders. Looks like it's done to absolutely crush any possibility of back rounding.

      look at your anatomy. if you have a longer chest or longer legs you may not be able to do heavy squats like him or even at all

      I’m his height, and yeah it helps to flare the elbows back and squeeze into the lower back

    Great video. I seem to have a very similar build to him so I'll definitely see if copying his technique helps!
    I think you'll see similar techniques with a lot of Japanese lifters - we tend to have shorter legs and longer torso's.

    The other part of squatting like Toshiki is to rock his shirt from hookgrip. Helps you channel his power

      His shirt and Klokov's snatch sequence shirt are criminally slept on. Why wear a basic hookgrip or ATG shirt when those two exist?

    How to squat like Clarence? He also doesn't have alot forward knee travel and it looks like a lowbar squat when coming out of the hole when his hips shoot up first.

      I think it mostly helps to set the hip angle that will be maintained throughout the eccentric and concentric
