Smartest thing I'd ever heard was: "Insulting the features of someone who doesn't care will not hurt them, but loved ones around you with those features now know what you think of them."
This mindset is what made me feel more at peace with how I look. I don't insult my own face because there are so many people who have the same ethnic features as me (I'm Chinese). Insulting myself is like insulting everyone who looks like me.
About a Corpse face reveal, I think many people forget or are not aware he is physically disabled. He has mentioned that's why there is an eyepatch on all his avatars, and that it has previously been kind of damaging to his self-esteem. Based on the reaction to an average looking guy that has not based his platform on being (or sounding) attractive, I don't think Corpse will ever reveal his face. Honestly, I don't think it is a gamble worth taking because it could not only actually affect his earnings, but I think it could be disastrous for his mental health. People don't realize how much of what we collectively consider to be attractive is based in covert bigotry such as ableism.
@@AlvinaYunoa it already got hundreds of thousands of likes on twitter and millions of views on TH-cam. Me showing 5 people in a comment section won’t do anything.
I agree... but the pre-face reveal stuff him and his friends did kinda fueled this. We all know what a human is supposed to look like, but when you say all these things making him not be a human, like he was carved out of diamonds, then it is expected to get a reaction that doesn't equate to normal. 100% that being mean IS NOT okay but what do you expect from 1. the internet and 2. making unrealistic expectations.
I think Dream was in a losing situation no matter what because he already had tons of people who hated him. I remember Twitter gearing up to drag him long before the face reveal was even confirmed. Point is, he could have looked like a supermodel and still get dragged because he already had haters who were then emboldened by the hype he created. That's why many of those memes felt like they were overcompensating and trying too hard, because I truly think he just looks normal.
i actually kind of hope Corpse just never reveals his face? cause damn, people are going to be horrible to him. people are flat out expecting him to be hot and they will blame him for not meeting their subjective expectations. so i just hope he avoids this kind of bullhonky
@@nyanperonyan5692 maybe you're right but I feel like there are enough people who have distorted expectations for his looks to make it unpleasant for him. The many people who find his voice really hot have probably built an idea of him in their minds to fit that and would be disappointed if he turned out to be anything but super hot to them.
I’m sure his tween fan base is gonna turn on him because he doesn’t look like an anime boy. A good amount did after someone “leaked” his face and it wasn’t who they expected. I don’t know if it was actually him but either way their reaction was beyond disappointing. 😒
@@adamlambboy8332 i remember that - it doesnt particularly matter to me if it was his face or not, but for his sake i hope it wasn't, since it wasn't something done out of his choice. It's mindboggling just how much people hinge their infatuation of a person - that they dont actually know - on a fantasy of them. Salem is definitely right in tryint to tell people to ground themselves in reality.
@@nyanperonyan5692 honestly, i think he would get as much vitriol. The only difference is that people wouldnt be able to use a problematic past as an excuse to be vitriolic. But they would definitely try to come up with an excuse either way.
Corpse might have thought about it a time or two but this whole thing with Dream has guaranteed put the fear of gawd into that man. The internet will have to pry his face out of his cols dead hands.
Yeah corpse is defiantly not going to do a face reveal after this. Especially because of all the people sexualizing him for his voice/hands there going to destroy his life is he isn’t perfect lol
@@idkimtired7898 the point is that someone else could look like him and be a good person, so instead of tearing down his looks, why not tear down his actions?
@@Alsyoutubeaccount Sorry I didn't do good enough of explaining in my comment I don't mean that he should be made fun of for this looks but actions he has had include: homophobia, racism, and ableisim.
Doing a face reveal for stans is the equivalent of seeing a movie made of your favourite book. The movie never measures up. You always have a picture in your head of how the main character will look and any differences feel very strange. So stans are struggling to reconcile the mental image they have of him with his true image. It doesn’t excuse fans being assholes but yeah.
Yes but however a movie is supposed to be fictional art, not a regular human being so your explanation is correct but this is just a dude who plays games like
I honestly feel bad, he looks fine. People wouldn’t have had this reaction if he had always shown his face but since he didn’t fans started to build their own ridiculous expectations and expected that he’d look like a supermodel. Edit: y’all I’m not trying to defend him for being racist, I’m saying I feel bad about people being so fixed on others appearances, also I hadn’t heard about him being racist until I watched this video so I’m sorry if it comes off as me blindly defending him, I commented this the second I got the notification so I hadn’t even gotten to that part of the video yet. I don’t even watch dream anyways.
This is why I hope Corpse NEVER shows his face. The amount of fanart of him being this really hot guy makes the expectations SO high. No doubt in my mind he looks like an average guy at most.
This is so weird to me. Dream IS conventionally attractive by most standards. He doesn't look like a Viking, bodybuilder or supermodel - but why would he? He's quite young & is a gamer/ TH-camr. He's not someone who's working on her appearance all day long. Tbh if someone is shaming this thin WM, who has every type of privilege imaginable.. they've got a lot to learn about the world

Honestly this the perfect example of how the internet is based around pretty culture. If you are not conventual attractive the internet goes into making fun of you so fast. I completely agree with everything you said about how it's utterly nasty how people are reacting to Dream's face reveal.
@@clubkiddxx I’m pointing out there are instances where millions of ppl online find body shaming acceptable. tbf there are def ppl that would’ve made fun of his looks regardless solely because of his bigoted past. Ethan’s vid does relate to this topic because both involve problematic ppl online being body shamed. If u enjoyed that Ethan vid u can’t critique dream being body shamed. It’s hypocritical
i genuinely think the hate train of dream's looks consists of 2-3 camps: 1. shallow/mentally underdeveloped preteens upset with how dream's face doesnt fit their made up dream face 2. people who are tired of dream stans (especially on twitter) and hopped on the train to make fun of the stans alongside the creator that did nothing about the stans' toxicity 3. twitter users coming along just bc its funny
Sis is back, and she's MARRIED now!! Hope you been well and in a better head space. Love the new hair, and the beat is fire like always. Missed you girl 😍
I didn't know about this man's existence until this face reveal mess... But I definitely felt bad for him because I was like "he's literally normal?". Like they literally were acting like he's an ogre or something... Also his fans really did put the bar very high! I'm glad you're showing your face again, your avatar is hella cute too! ❤️ Thank you for this video! People don't know what normal people look like nowadays 💀💀💀

What are some topics I should talk on for next week?? Please let me know! (also small note: any allegations against dream that was not on the first day of his face reveal will be mentioned in this video because of the video being filmed the day of the face reveal and not after when all the allegations came out, please be understanding that I am not an AI or time traveler!) thank you all for your love and support!
I was thinking about all the new thin obsession connected to the coming back of the y2k etc...all the tumblr girl era kind of coming back and so on Maybe(?) Idk Orrrrr The cannibal armie hammer and his family But tbh I watch all your videos, you can make even nikokado avokado seem an interesting topic
maybe a "quarantine's tiktok obsession: 2 years later" video! Reinspecting old trends from early quarantine, specifically ones from tiktok if you need to narrow it down, and seeing how they held up and such. It is a bit lighthearted but also could open up room for conversation about tiktok, how it began, and how it is currently going!
Hey salem!!it nice to see you again. Im hoping that you might make a video on the Jeffrey dahmer stuff going on !!theres more to this obviously but i don't wanna go and see all the tik tokers "flexing" and how the show didnt even bother asking the victims of their story.
I agree 100% that we are conditioned to expect everyone we encounter to look like models all of the time. A few years ago I went to the beach for the first time in several years and honestly got so anxious leading up to it because I was expecting everyone to have abs and perfect hair. No joke. I was so worried because I thought I was going to be the only one that didn’t meet those standards. I got there and was genuinely shocked when I saw that everyone was normal… it was a trippy experience
Social media is honestly so scary. The fact that i was convinced that the people from my school will have alot of hot goth people in it is concerning. Glad it was wrong tho i wouldve felt so so insecure 💀💀
Maybe it's because I'm 31 and don't care much about looks anymore (I have made it very clear to the algorithm that I don't consider *pretty people being pretty* a good video), but the creators who come up on my TikTok fyp are all just normal looking people who are funny/good at cooking/know cool facts about plants/make music etc. It's possible that the algorithm does identify and promote pretty people, but for sure the biggest factor deciding what you see is your own engagement, so engage less with the content that's warping your perception of normal beauty (like choosing "not interested" on videos that make you feel shitty about yourself). It doesn't take long to break out of the cycle of "they liked this so I'll show more of it until that's all they see" if you actively search for content and follow accounts that align with your interests. I prob sound so old LMAO but I haven't seen a TikTok dance video or lip sync video on my fyp in like a year bc the algorithm really does respond to what we like and dislike :)
I don’t even watch dream but it’s upsetting that people aren’t treating him like a human :/ Edit: I just saw the part where Salem was talking about keeping it civil, can we stop the fighting in the comments? Or if it’s needed, can we do it in a civil way?
Did he treat a black girl like a human when his fandom attacked her and doxxed her and said racial slurs and threats at her and he didn't care cause she didn't matter.
@@yesha3306 That’s awful!!! As previously stated I don’t really follow drama around him but I could see how things might be a bit justified. The fact that any of this is happening is just sad.
The part where you mentioned to delete tiktok, ground yourself in reality; that's exactly what I did a few months ago. I realised that tiktok was hurting my mental health so bad. So bad to the point where it was warping my opinions on a lot of things. I wasn't my own person, my opinions, my vocabulary, even my personality was being shaped by that app. So then I deleted it. Haven't touched it since March. I'm much happier. I'm not wasting my days on Tiktok anymore for hours on end. I've found things, better, more productive things to spend my free time in. Hell, I've learned how to crochet, I redecorated my room, I'm taking care of myself more, I'm getting more work done. Tiktok is literally the devil. And deleting it has done so much for me.
👏👏👏 I downloaded tiktok ONCE to see what it was about, and when I realized I had already spent an HOUR scrolling random videos on it, and I thought it had been only 5 minutes, I deleted it and never looked back. It just steals your time!! You can never get those wasted hours back :/ most videos, you probably won't even remember in 1 year anyway, because your mind knows better and throws it away. Waste of time.
i deleted it too. my life has improved quite a bit since then. but even with deleting it, all other major social media platforms created their own version of it to cash in on the craze. it’s hard to avoid.
Another gamer that for a long time didn’t use facecam is RTGame, but his face reveal was super well received and everyone was super nice about it. He has openly expressed insecurity about his looks, especially his teeth, and everyone has been extremely welcoming and respectful since he decided to be a bit more open with his audience. The reason I bring this up, is because I think target audience and demographic plays a HUGE roll into the reception of a face reveal. Daniel from RTGame isn’t amazingly attractive, he is an average white guy just like Dream. But the difference is that Dream has a larger, younger, more shallow and immature audience. His audience is also much more reactionary and toxic as we have seen with doxing and whatnot. So honestly, the reaction to his face reveal is unsurprising given the audience Dream has curated. In some ways, it is his own fault. Yeah, twitter took it and ran, but it is because Dream has created such a negative community so he has many people that hate him. Just my two cents on the matter.
I hate to be like "aCtUaLlY", but based on what I've heard from long time members of RTGame's community, his initial attempt at a face reveal actually didn't go too well. But that was a long time ago, back when he made exclusively Team Fortress 2 videos. The TF2 community is known to be quite toxic, which only proves your point about the reaction being dependent on the type of community someone has curated. His current community is absolutely wonderful and I'm glad he's able to talk openly about his insecurities, without people making fun of his face and being unnecessarily rude.
This is the first time the internet has genuinely grossed me out. People are so vile. People get too comfortable knowing that they're behind screens and untouchable.
The FIRST time?? Were you not there when all of those female celebrities’ private nudes got leaked? Truly one of the lowest points in internet history that preceded this event by years..
He doesn’t even look bad, it’s the lighting, and it’s dark. 🤦🏽♀️ the internet is weird asf! Always talking about body positivity and shaming, yet so quick to do it.
@@sweetbnuy i saw tons of videos talking about how he faked his face reveal and tho it sounded really stupid, I was a little confused why he looked like he couldn't move his neck. Just...jaw angle, like he couldn't show his whole face (not that it really matters)

If I were Corpse, I would go to the grave without doing a face reveal. His mental health just doesn't seem like it could take backlash to this level. Even if it was positive the amount of extra attention on his looks would probably feel really heavy to him.
me and my friend always hated dream, probably since 2020, however all these people who started hating him because he isnt a toned chiseled man is so sad. it's basically saying "hey, I wouldn't have held him accountable if he was hot!"

Ok I am totally against how people have been blasting Dream for his looks (he looks totally normal to me imo and even if he didn't, that's no excuse for being nasty) but side note...what the heck was he thinking with the pre-face-reveal shenanigans?? ? Like what did he expect to happen? People's expectations were probably already going to be that he was baseline attractive because that's just how fans tend to be (I could write a whole book about how people feel that they're "owed" others' attractiveness for some reason), but then getting other influencers involved to raise the stakes even higher...not the smartest move, my guy. Edit: Since I keep getting the same comments...I completely understand the idea of hyping the reveal up to get interest. When I said it wasn't smart of him, I was referring more to the fact that I think he set himself up for a negative reaction to the reveal. If he wanted a *positive* reaction to his face, I think his strategy was flawed. If he just wanted as many eyes on him as possible, then I think he succeeded.
dream didn't do it to raise the expectations. he pays attention to what brings hype. by having other influencers call him hot and posting it just a day before builds a ton more of hype, and dream already said in his face reveal video that he's grown to not care about what idiots say on the internet. he knew what to do to get excitement, and he got it.
@@cmar212 Hmm. Well I don't know anything about the guy so I didn't consider that aspect but I do hope that you're right that it isn't that serious to him. In any case it was certainly an interesting strategy.
I mean cause it cultivates hype and thus more views. I find it really weird and even unconfurtable how he manages to sells a face reveal, but that's what he's been doing for ages.
"...not the smartest move" Uhm... I beg to disagree Dream is a guy who became successful in just a short period of time He knows what will get him attention=views=money Also, by FaceTiming his Friends (+ other Big Creators), Dream has helped them get Attention & also get attention for his Big Reveal He clearly knows what he is doing

Honestly, if Dream, the youtubers, and other influencers hadn't hyped up this face reveal to be some grand event, it probably would have lowered the chances of it being blown out of proportion. I so agree that we shouldn't stoop to their level when holding someone accountable. I hate when people decide that it's okay to misgender, bodyshame, or discriminate against someone who has done wrong. That's like saying that you must earn the right to be regarded as human. If you do this, you will also disregard the humanity of a LOT of other people in the process. We can criticize people while still giving everyone basic human dignity and respect.
As someone who experienced body shaming in a early part of my childhood (I am still in my childhood but in the middle of it and near to the end but there are still some years to it), I can say, I am also human yes you look great and all but what matters the most is the personality you have or the people you spend time together knowing that there are people that want to be your friends or just like you, nobody has to be perfect and no one is just be you, who you want to be, there may be people that don’t like you for who you are but know that there are people that also do like you for being yourself.
He's a nice looking average guy. I don't get it. I think most people with no makeup or extra styling look about the same level of attractiveness. I didn't know who he was, but I saw some of the memes and my reaction was, "that's a normal guy, I don't get it."
the jokes were funny at first but like the overt hatred gets old real fast. he kinda set himself up with how he facetimed a bunch of people to complement him before his reveal tho. that was just strange to me

Would love for the people trolling and giving Dream hate to do their own face reveal to the entire internet. Let's see how they're rated. Not a stan, just upset that, once again, people forget that the world doesn't revolve around their expectations
It's not his appearance that is weird, he is super nervous and uncomfortable on that shot, and the lighting could be much better. On top of that his audience's is not suited for a face reveal. Being just kids on the internet, Dream SMP community gave him typically immature idealistic features in their fanart. His situation is my worst nightmare tbh.
The thing is he looks nice Like wtf did ppl want him to look like And even if he doesn't look "nice" (whatever that is) why tf is this a big deal Like he got famous for his personality not his looks so why do his looks even matter And why tf are they being so mean about it All of the work we have done over the years to normalise being positive about looks and body acceptance got cancelled as fast as james charles got cancelled for the damn hair gummys
This comment made me laugh bc you said "what did people expect him to look like" when literally him and his friends gave out expectations that were just dramatic. Otherwise yea i agree.
I lowkey blame the ppl he FaceTimed (besides bella) that ppl dogged on him so hard. Like they put him on a pedestal as if he was all that when he looks like Shane if he was normal.
I also have an underbite like dream (but I'm receiving orthodontic treatment). And seeing how people react and make fun of dream makes me even more insecure about the way I look. What if people also think of me like that? That's why I never take off my mask in public. It's a dental condition, and you don't make fun of that. Y'all making fun of other people's insecurities but when its you getting make fun of, you get mad. Make it make sense. If it's something that cannot be fixed in 10 seconds then don't point it out.

Dream's ego just made him hype this face reveal too much. All TH-camrs were like 'oh wow he is sooo hot he is ultra chad' everyone set their expectations to their top personal level of hotness. It was already a lost cause. Once they saw this just a young, white, boyish face they all were extremely disappointed. If he would just show his face and said like: 'oh, sorry it was not planned, anyway, that's my face, just a random guy you would probably pass by on a street not even noticing me. well, now you will see me more often', he wouldn't get such a backlash I'm sure of it.
since dreams face reveal ive been telling everyone i know that he looks like a regular human that exists. only problem is people nowadays (especially teenage girls at school) are so self obsessed that they fail to realize that they look like a regular human being
It is so heartbreaking how rude people are being towards him. He looks fine and even if he didn't it's not ok to be so mean to someone like that... I don't even watch his content and I think this is sad.
He just looks like a normal dude. Wtf. People were probably disappointed because he did not look like whatever celebrity or character everyone is simping over at the time.
I think he looks okay, and bullying people for their appearance is definitely wrong. However, I got the feeling that people are attacking him for his looks as they know it would hurt his pride the most, after overhyping his face reveal that much and as a 'punishment' for his actions in the past. Still, bullying others will not solve anything.

Hi Salem! I just wanted to say that I'm really happy to see your face and makeup again, and that you're confident enough to come back to showing it, especially with this video topic. My younger sister is 10, and she has a similar face shape to yours, so it made me really upset to hear about what people have said to you online, knowing my baby sister has gone through that too. Once I think she's old enough for the full force of the internet, I'll be sure to show her your videos. Thanks for teaching us to be confident
This is very off topic but I have a question why do people have such big things to say about what he looks like be it good or bad, I remember seeing dream's face reveal and not feeling anything I had nothing good or bad to say I just saw it and simply didn't care.
This is a sign that stans need to stop having unrealistic beauty standards about faceless creators, I called it as soon as Dream was gonna make a face reveal his own stans we’re gonna criticize him because of how he looked, in my opinion I don’t think he should’ve done a face reveal but probably was doing it to be mainstream but idk
I just feel so bad, people used to pressure him to do the face reveal, and now they’re saying to put the mask back on!? If I had that many people talked about me like that.. smh I’d be dead
Idk who you are but I love your vibe lol. I did a deep dive on him last night because my kids cancelled him after being a fan and wouldn't elaborate so I was curious. Especially after the reveal. "Oh, he's just some guy" was exactly my response. Like he looks like he could be any one of my brother's friends. If he didn't have a mask to begin with, people wouldn't have had any strong feelings about it. I don't think he's a bad dude. From a completely outside view with no previous opinion of him, I can see how he's screwed up, but in the big scheme of things I don't think he's done anything overtly harmful. Anyway, you have a new fan here, cheers

They either lack empathy or sincerely do not understand that making fun of someone's appearance is also making fun of EVERY OTHER HUMAN WHO SHARES THOSE FEATURES.

I agree... but the pre-face reveal stuff him and his friends did kinda fueled this.
He looks a lot better than some people in the world. Personally my face looks like a botched plastic surgery but genetics aren't my fault sooo

Doing a face reveal for stans is the equivalent of seeing a movie made of your favourite book. The movie never measures up. i get you...i feel like social media has warped our perception of how people are supposed to look.
This is a great example of touching some grass. We can so easily loose our sense of reality when we're constantly looking at "pretty" people.

But that was a long time ago, back when he made exclusively Team Fortress 2 videos. The TF2 community is known to be quite toxic, which only proves your point about the reaction being dependent on the type of community someone has curated. His current community is absolutely wonderful and I'm glad he's able to talk openly about his insecurities, without people making fun of his face and being unnecessarily rude.

dream didn't do it to raise the expectations. he pays attention to what brings hype. by having other influencers call him hot and posting it just a day before builds a ton more of hype, and dream already said in his face reveal video that he's grown to not care about what idiots say on the internet. he knew what to do to get excitement, and he got it.

ikr it annoys me when stuff like this happens because they are the same people who claim to be an “accepting” generation 🥱
I’m so proud of you being able to show your face on camera again! Much love man I’ve been watching for a while ❤️❤️❤️
BRO THE DEAD DOG PLUSHIE- HOW CAN SALEM BE SO CUTE AND SO SASSY AND SO SCARY AT THE SAME TIME
The thing is he looks nice
Like wtf did ppl want him to look like
And even if he doesn't look "nice" (whatever that is) why tf is this a big deal
Like he got famous for his personality not his looks so why do his looks even matter
And why tf are they being so mean about it
All of the work we have done over the years to normalise being positive about looks and body acceptance got cancelled as fast as james charles got cancelled for the damn hair gummys
This comment made me laugh bc you said "what did people expect him to look like" when literally him and his friends gave out expectations that were just dramatic. Otherwise yea i agree.
@@tyreek.6815 it was an obvious troll ya'll
It's not his fault you fell for it
@@tyreek.6815 and also that doesn't justify being mean about it
@@fofosyrie3798 never said it did
This color and shade of blue looks SO good on you Salem!! I love it!
Your energy is so nice! I'm glad the face break made you feel better and more confident it really shows you're so silly and fun in this one 💌 I'm so excited for more! The hair looks amazing btw!
Saw your actual face and clicked immediately. Missed you Salem ❤️
since dreams face reveal ive been telling everyone i know that he looks like a regular human that exists. only problem is people nowadays (especially teenage girls at school) are so self obsessed that they fail to realize that they look like a regular human being
It is so heartbreaking how rude people are being towards him. He looks fine and even if he didn't it's not ok to be so mean to someone like that... I don't even watch his content and I think this is sad.
He just looks like a normal dude. Wtf. People were probably disappointed because he did not look like whatever celebrity or character everyone is simping over at the time.
Salem (like always) came back when we needed her the most!!
I think he looks okay, and bullying people for their appearance is definitely wrong. However, I got the feeling that people are attacking him for his looks as they know it would hurt his pride the most, after overhyping his face reveal that much and as a 'punishment' for his actions in the past. Still, bullying others will not solve anything.
this channel is like the only channel i consistently watch and follow (and enjoy) - awesome vid as always, slayed the hair AND hope you're doing great!
R.i.p. for your dog, I hope he is having a good time in heaven :)
I’ve never watched dream before all this news about his face. He’s a handsome guy. I hate how disgusting people are being.
maybe he shouldnt have been racist and ableist and lgbtphobic and a groomer but hey what do i know
@@toyafan then ppl should criticize that and have him answer for that but it’s a low low to just automatically make fun of someone’s looks
also when u make fun of someone’s looks you inadvertently make fun of someone else
@@toyafan when did he do that? I never heard of this before but maybe its because I don’t watch him
@@toyafan dont even bring up the grooming claims. Last time I checked there is no proof at all except for someone saying it. Even tho it’s important to belive the victim it is also important to remember that someone is innocent u til proven guilty
Late to the party but I remember when the face reveal happened and my friends and I were joking about it saying things like "he's literally just a guy" like "This straight up looks like someone who walks up to you in line at the grocery store and asks if you're in line and when you say 'yes' hes like 'thanks,' and stands in line behind you"
This is the face of a man who is your server at a chain restaurant and posts on instagram occasionally.
I'm so glad to see you again! I just wanna say you are beautiful and I love your voice like SO MUCH! It's rare to find a youtuber that does these kind of videos on current subjects about the internet, music, celebrities and such without being very loud and I just love your vibe ! Weather you decide to show your face or not you are our chill queen ❤️
This is a sign that stans need to stop having unrealistic beauty standards about faceless creators, I called it as soon as Dream was gonna make a face reveal his own stans we’re gonna criticize him because of how he looked, in my opinion I don’t think he should’ve done a face reveal but probably was doing it to be mainstream but idk
welcome back Salem! face or avatar, i love the content you create and i am grateful for your presence in this hell hole of an app
Edit: ok I posted that halfway through and you included some information that wasn't even in the 2 hour video I watched yesterday lol. I like him less and like you even more now.
If you want to know more about him and his controversies (a lot more...), there's a video of a TH-camr called the right opinion. He does deep dives on internet personalities and their "dramas" but in a very serious and analytical way. I don't normally enjoy drama but I find his videos interesting to know about people and events that I would never watch myself
Hey Salem! I watch your content BECAUSE I don’t see it fit into the ‘cancel culture’ category. I don’t keep up with twitter, tik tok, youtube or what’s current for self preservation reasons. And so I like to consume a little bit of what’s current through your content; which is gentle and kind. In love with your hair, and congratulations on getting married! Thanks for providing me with a comfy corner of the internet. I’m so grateful for your platform 🤎
ikr!!
I feel like how funny Salem is, is beyond underrated. I am 4 minutes in. And I’ve lol’d at least 3 times! 😂💕💕💕 love you Salem! Love seeing you BACK!
I'm so confused, he looks attractive to me. How high are people's expectations nowadays :0
Sky high 🥲
No wonder corpse won’t! And I respect that, I watched him when he just did scary stories and creepy story videos and never once gave him pressure to reveal his face! I respect he doesn’t wanna, I feel bad for dream! I w watched him casually and also never cared to see his face, idk I guess I watch a variety of people and listen to podcasts and that thought never crosses my mind! But don’t make him feel insecure! I know my looks hold me back from wanting to do TH-cam, people can be so mean…
I'm actually quite happy to see that you feel comfortable enough to show your face again!
I liked the elf drawings too, don't get me wrong, but especially after the video where you explain the reason why you didn't want to show your face anymore, I think it's ok for me to feel happy to see you again ❤
THE BLUE HAIR LOOKS SO GOOOD OMGG
THANK YOUU
What I love about your videos is that you always speak the truth and hold people accountable when necessary, while also upholding your values to be good and kind. Thank you for being such a positive influence.
He looks like every other popular straight girls boyfriend in Highschool .. at this point I’m really confused which men are supposed to be good looking and which aren’t
could you possibly do a video on Taylor Swift and the current backlash of fans who think she's gay and then were mad when she insinuated she wasn't. I feel like it could open a really interesting discussion about parasocial relationships and privacy for celebrities. Thank you!
I’m comforted knowing you watch me sleep, like a guardian angel. Or a sleep paralysis demon. Or my 8yo when he realizes it’s the weekend and I’m not up yet. Either way, I’m glad I’m not alone. 🙃
I'm so happy you're feeling better and yesss love the blue hair. You're gorgeous and it's nice to see you again!
My opinion on it: he's like a solid 6/10 or 7/10. Shitting on him for how he looks isn't ok, but like, the jokes kind of hit and can be sooo funny 😭
the 'scooter to the ankle' metaphor was one of the best I've ever heard lol
It's wild because it wasn't even his fans thats sending hate. It's mostly randos being curious of what he looks like and tuning in.
The best thing I did for myself and my relationships was delete instagram, Twitter, and never even downloading tiktok 👍 you're amazing & thanks for another great video!!
People say they're nagging his appearance because he's allegedly racist or something.
THEN CRITICIZE HIM FOR BEING RACIST. OR WHATEVER.
DON'T NAG ON HIS PERFECTLY FINE APPEARANCE.
It's like thinking is too hard for so many people. They either lack empathy or sincerely do not understand that making fun of someone's appearance is also making fun of EVERY OTHER HUMAN WHO SHARES THOSE FEATURES.
Glad to have you back! Hair and makeup looking gorgeous as always!
i agree with you, pretty much. i think making fun of peoples bodies is pretty cringe, and it almost always hurts someone else who is bound to have similar body appearances.
thanks for the take, salem. you seem like a good pal.
i like your hair and your plushie. rest in peace dog friend.
Salem should fr sing the whole "MASK" song. the little part she sang was BEA-utiful
To be honest, I didn't care about the whole reveal thing nor after. But seeing what came out of it. It's awful. So faceless influencers will always have this expectation to be good looking, beautiful? Its abhorrent how toxic twitter can be and then they act like self-righteous fools later. Makes me hope Corpse Husband never does it.
Unrelated but your cheekbones are fabulous!
Honestly watching your vids bring me so much joy
8:24 Can we just talk about how nice her voice is? Like please give us a vocals-only cover in that exact audio!
He just looks like a normal white dude ☠️
THIS HAIR COLOUR SUITS YOU SO MUCH!! I love it. Loved the video. I think there might be more unaware people than self aware people honestly... o.O
