More of these railroad hunts please. The flattened coins are something I haven't seen on other detector channels.

The big rod with the eye on the end is an anchor that held a guy wire to a wood pole. Nice finds, great vid!

@@RayW-hj4zh Thanks Ray! Do you think it was for the pacific electric Train car power supply being it is so close to the tracks? I’m going to have to search for some old pictures. It’s about 1500 feet from the end of the tracks that was once one of many PE maintenance yard. That rod with eye was less than 6 feet from the rail. Looks to be blacksmithed. I’m guessing maybe it’s anchored in a concrete base. I tried pretty hard to get it out.

@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting Its very possible it was for the PE train line although I'm not familiar with your area. Your found anchor was probably abandoned for track clearance or the pole line was moved. I'm in central Canada in the prairies and anchors like that here were used for old telegraph poles. Keep up your work, relics are the best!

@ agree on the relics. Coins are cool, but relics are a history lesson.

I think your ring is probably gold because of the sizing , I ended up buying an acid tester kit on eBay . I found my first gold ring this summer . Seemed once I cracked that ceiling all hell broke loose haha 8 gold rings and 12 silver rings plus earrings and some necklaces. All in the same basic 5 parks . I had a killer summer now it’s sub zero and I’m watching videos being jealous. I enjoyed your video congratulations on your finds . I’ve been separating my metals in buckets brass and copper are totally worth the 12 inch bucket scrap space . I really have a hard time throwing out my digs so I try to recycle. Anyways glad I found your channel, I like your attitude and filming . Thank you 😊

@@gurl_friday1116 Thank you so much for the positive comments! I did find 7 gold rings last year with my Nokta Legend. I just can’t seem to break through to the gold ring realm with the equinox. A big reason is because thins year I have been focused on older ground and silver coins. Last year was more parks and beaches. I do have a nice handful of silver ring for this year. I did have an acid kit, but tossed it because it expired. Hope you are graced with some warm weather soon so you can get back to hunting. Thanks again!

I found 2 gold rings at 16 and one at 9 . The other ones no idea I was in dig it all mode . Good luck 🍀 hope you pop that gold ring cork soon

I think that colored glass is a broken insulator, remember they use to have telecommunications running along side the railroad tracks

That metal thing you couldn’t dig up looks like to me is an old down guy that held up telephone poles good thing you stoped digging they are like 6-8 feet deep 🫡
