That war nickel with the big S mint marks 40% silver
That is a 1911 S wheat cent, and a damn good date at that.

More of these railroad hunts please. The flattened coins are something I haven't seen on other detector channels.
@@boogerhooks got a park video coming out tomorrow, then another RR Vid a few days after that
I think that colored glass is a broken insulator, remember they use to have telecommunications running along side the railroad tracks
I think you nailed it.
That metal thing you couldn’t dig up looks like to me is an old down guy that held up telephone poles good thing you stoped digging they are like 6-8 feet deep 🫡
Definitely a drawer pull, you are welcome. You can pay me in cut wheat's and rat tokens. 🤣🤣🤣

@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting This is Catni from OMMO and I wish you a nice day! I want to invite you to do some videos for our Underwater Metal Detector in TH-cam, will you be interested in trying it?
Sure thing
First two thumbs up 👍👍
Mystery item looks like the speaker from an old telephone handset.
@@boogerhooks awesome! Thank you!
I got a spot I hunt next to the tracks and there is always flattened coins. Nice hunt congrats on the relics and jewelry👍😊
@@TeamLynchBMD Thanks! I love finding them. I remember doing it as a kid and only finding about 20% of them. Subscribed.
@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting thank you nice video
I like the part where you found a pull tab!
@@Sattelhammr only high quality content from the trash panda. 😂
@@Sattelhammr I have a video I made in there somewhere that is 20 minutes of pull tabs and zinc pennies. That is 90% of the targets around here. I made a video that had 5 silvers found in it and got no traffic. It was an experiment to see if the pulltab/zinc penny video got more traffic
🤗✌🏼👊🏽
Very nice hunt partner love it
@@goldseaoutdoors4708 Thanks! Much appreciated.
@19:35 Possible part of an old telephone. Fascinating hunt.
@@cladcollector5360 Great idea! I’m going to research that. It really is amazing what you can find in a small area when you take your time!
I think your ring is probably gold because of the sizing , I ended up buying an acid tester kit on eBay . I found my first gold ring this summer . Seemed once I cracked that ceiling all hell broke loose haha 8 gold rings and 12 silver rings plus earrings and some necklaces. All in the same basic 5 parks . I had a killer summer now it’s sub zero and I’m watching videos being jealous. I enjoyed your video congratulations on your finds . I’ve been separating my metals in buckets brass and copper are totally worth the 12 inch bucket scrap space . I really have a hard time throwing out my digs so I try to recycle. Anyways glad I found your channel, I like your attitude and filming . Thank you 😊
@@gurl_friday1116 Thank you so much for the positive comments! I did find 7 gold rings last year with my Nokta Legend. I just can’t seem to break through to the gold ring realm with the equinox. A big reason is because thins year I have been focused on older ground and silver coins. Last year was more parks and beaches. I do have a nice handful of silver ring for this year. I did have an acid kit, but tossed it because it expired. Hope you are graced with some warm weather soon so you can get back to hunting. Thanks again!
@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting Thank you , I really thought I was going tomorrow but some how it became 85 % rain haha I can’t wait to get out there again . I found 2 gold rings at 16 and one at 9 . The other ones no idea I was in dig it all mode . Good luck 🍀 hope you pop that gold ring cork soon
Nice finds mate. Big hello from new subscriber from Australia. Cheers 🍻
@@draganakrapovic7588 Hello Australia! Thanks for watching!
The big rod with the eye on the end is an anchor that held a guy wire to a wood pole. Nice finds, great vid!
@@RayW-hj4zh Thanks Ray! Do you think it was for the pacific electric Train car power supply being it is so close to the tracks? I’m going to have to search for some old pictures. It’s about 1500 feet from the end of the tracks that was once one of many PE maintenance yard. That rod with eye was less than 6 feet from the rail. Looks to be blacksmithed. I’m guessing maybe it’s anchored in a concrete base. I tried pretty hard to get it out.
@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting Its very possible it was for the PE train line although I'm not familiar with your area. Your found anchor was probably abandoned for track clearance or the pole line was moved. I'm in central Canada in the prairies and anchors like that here were used for old telegraph poles. Keep up your work, relics are the best!
@ agree on the relics. Coins are cool, but relics are a history lesson.
Cool finds bruv

Im here for the high voltage detecting and the Pea green scoops! Gf watched with me and said she loves the name of your channel. Great video Jeffrey!
HAHA! That scoop is green.....the color of money.....because thats what it finds! I should have my house paid off by next month with all the nickels I find!
@TrashPandaMetalDetecting lol! Nickel saved is a nickel earned!!!
Cool hunt dude, and I'm impressed you bucked the system to go on RR property. Looks like a little age there too, so probably a lot of silvers waiting to be found. Fellow Legend user here too. Keep up the good work. Subbed!
Thanks 👍 Not really bucking the system too hard. I have permission. This is EOL deep in a residential neighborhood. The only time a train comes to this point is to store cars for a short period of time. I have only seen that happen a few dozen times in the last 23 years I’ve lived here.
@joyoftreasurehunting
Yup, like @robert said, be careful. The railroad folks probably wouldn't take to kindly to any kind of digging near the rails/bed....but I'm sure you already know that. Anyway, thanks for the video.... and stay safe out there!
I did not know that, there are no signs or I would not have dug there. I do it regularly and have spoke with railroad employees and local police with no issue. Their concern is vandalism, left, and homeless. Not a guy picking up trash. The only warning I’ve got is about safety.
@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting Cool! Glad to hear it!....and frankly, that is the perspective that they should have. Plenty of crime out there for them to focus on.
You want to be careful messing around railroad tracks. The rail companies have railroad police and they have the same athority as U. S. Marshals, you are trespassing.
I must be a lucky guy then, they regularly stop by and ask me what I’ve found. Thanks!

@@agateidest I love how the coin is unscathed when it clearly made contact with my shovel. Then I’ve dug numerous coins I had to search for inside the plug and somehow they have fresh damage. Ahhhh….the mystery of metal detecting!
@TrashPandaMetalDetecting that's why I wince at coins that are in roots, I always scratch them.
