When my mom and I went to china for the first time, we found this old lady with a super small stand selling these crepes. We went back every single morning for a "pre-breakfast" before meeting up with family. To this day, it is still one of my favourite memories with my mom, ever.

This is my favorite channel of yours. These are mostly recipes I didn't know existed. Plus on your travel shows, you eschew vegetarian food but you sure have shared a lot on this channel. Thank you!
YUM! This took me back to the time I lived in Tianjin. This was my favorite street breakfast. I would opt out on the fried dough and would have the vendor throw on various different Chinese pickles. They supplemented the crunch factor perfectly. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
You have no clue how much I love this video! I saw so many street food videos about this and always wanted to try it but didn't know where to buy it. NOW I CAN FINALLY TASTE IT! Thank you!
I enjoy watching you cooking. May I know where did you get that pan which you made the crepe on? I like to get one so that I may make the same crepe like you were making. Thanks!!
Oh I can't wait to make these!!! Yum yum yum!! I have been making your scallion pancakes for the last couple weeks and those were soooo delish!! I wish I could send you a pic of it. LoL
Whenever we transit in peking, our relativ from tianjin (~90m per bus) would bring me 3 of these, and a bunch of steamed crab for my mom. I just found out how easy it is to make^^
This was my favorite breakfast food in China... Had a ijanbing place right outside my apartment.. it was SO good... a bit of coriander in there as well... Also, the 土豆丝 filled pancake rolls were amazing as well.... damn I miss Shanghai... xD
Being from the South and having gardens all my life, I've never ever heard of green bean flour.😄 I thought I had made everything I possibly could with a green bean.👍
Ok? Lol - can’t beat the traditional with ham hocks and maybe new potatoes - cooked for way longer anyone else would 😍😍😂😂. Oh or the field peas with green beans and bacon/vinegar etc....those are good too
OMG you totally nailed it with Yan Can Cook!!! I used to watch him as a kid back in the 80's when all my friends were watching Scooby-Doo! Yan was a big influence on my love for asian food growing up in Canada. Another one i used to watch back then was The Frugal Gourmet. This was probably close to 20 years ago when there was no such thing as the Food Network. Keep it up Mike, you may be inspiring a whole new generation of foodies out and not even know it!

Cool. Look good..🐞
Nice!
When I’m lazy and crave one of these I do a ‘French Toast’ version with slice bread. Super easy when you don’t want so many dishes to wash
Love it 😀
I’m trying to figure out how many kitchens he has lol
Right?! I was thinking the same thing. How many and who's kitchen, Mikey?
I think the one in this video in in his wooden cabin and the other kitchen is in his apartment in seattle.
Not too sure about this one
That’s because he’s hiding from the aliens
Watching this brings me back to my time in Shijiazhuang when I went to grab these in the mornings!

Whenever we transit in peking, our relativ from tianjin (~90m per bus) would bring me 3 of these, and a bunch of steamed crab for my mom. I just found out how easy it is to make^^

Can you put amazon links to the ingredients... ?
Looks good Mike. I recently learned how to make that fried bread too. Too bad I just restarted my keto diet last week.
No link to the pan you made the crepes on?
Wondering how something can be the most popular and underrated at the same time. ;)
Thanks for the vids, Mikey!

@@hollyh7924 We just finished stringing and breaking the 1st green beans of the season. We're so excited!
It not green bean flour. It's mung bean starch. Mung bean starch is used to make pancakes and jelly noodles in Chinese cooking.
@@anastaciafang270 Thank you!
Great tutorial videos, please like this video so more people can chance upon this wonderful channel
Which kitchen is that one ?
Sir mikey can I apply? I’m also a food lover 😊
Can you mix the all purpose flour with almond flour?
Yes. Almond flour can be treated exactly like wheat flour
The apron is so cute!
Love the DG store spices - throwback!
You had me at burrito! This is next level awesome though and it’s terrific to see the cooking process. This is the new Yan Can Cook channel 🙌💯😋🌯
