    Thank you for showing us I've been looking for a decent video that explains to me earlier. I have jk x 08 and wanted to replace my radiator also but I couldn't find video like yours.

    Great job on explaining how to take it out, however may I suggest a how to put it back in??? Thank you for your video

      Typically I try not to make the video any longer then needed. If the install is different in any way I will usually add that but if the removal is exactly the same as installing I usually wont. Just depends on the repair. I will certainly keep it in mind for future videos. Thanks for the comment and make sure to subscribe,.

      MotorCity Mechanic already subscribed. I think, I was just looking to see a video about getting all the coolant out of the entire system, so I could add all new. I looked for burping and flushing videos with no luck. Needless to say I just added new coolant to the radiator and hoped for the best. No problems so far. Seriously though your video helped me very much.

      @@jmc7886 Many thanks! I recommend rechecking the level each morning when cold to see if any need to be added until it levels out and doesnt change one day.

    How different is the process for a Grand cheriokee 5.7 liter hemi?

    Great vid Dave. Thanks man, might give it a shot myself. Great tips along the way mentioning how to make removal and access to hidden bolts and fasteners easier to get to.

      +MotorCity Mechanic - Hey Dave, quick question please. What is the name or manufacturer/model of that fastener removal tool you're using at the beginning of this video? Thanks again man! ;)

      They are from the high dollar tool company Harbor Freight haha. Here is the actual link to the tool. www.harborfreight.com/5-piece-upholstery-and-trim-tool-set-99739.html

    David, thanks for the series on radiator replacement -- I may need to do this sooner rather than later..do you replace with Mopar stock radiators or are they all just going to go bad? Is there a stock equivalent aftermarket radiator that you like better?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only radiators I like to deal with are the Mopar replacements. Otherwise I try to stay away from the parts store brands. There are some all aluminum radiators on the market from companies on line. I dont know of any exact names however.

      Why not parts store brands? Thats what I was going to use
