Freedive the Broken MUSAN - Jan 2022 in Ayia Napa, Cyprus

We went back to the Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa (MUSAN) as one of our first fun dives in the new year. Sadly and to our surprise, we found a lot of broken branches from the tree sculptures. They were either hanging from the trees or scattered around on the sandy bottom. We were not sure as to why they were broken. Hopefully they get restored to their beauty at some point.
Update: the officials said this will be restored soon.
The underwater museum opened in August 2021, with 90+ sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor.

Yeah, I wonder if it’s because of currents and how often this happens.. I heard there were reconstruction work when some of the guys went during the Freedom competition time already…
