It's very odd that there doesn't seem to be any separate setting for the home screen font color. I suppose that's left up to the theme designer exclusively.

OMG THANK YOU. I was trying out the new setting on my S21 that lets me change the color palette of the phone based on my wallpaper and it screwed up all my app icons and wouldn't change back. This saved me!!!!!
