Every industry has its own style of movies. He made a general statement that Iranian movies are better. Like in india certain section of people say malyalam and Tamil are best and rest are bad. Which is utter bull shit. Bengali, malyalam, Tamil and some other have subtle and more realistic movies which some people like but they also make some commercial movies. Telugu, kannada, hindi are more easy going, emotional, fictional movies but they also make "art" movies as well. Problem is some people consider only so called "art" style of movies are art and comercial movies are shit. Don't you think commercial movies like Avatar, top gun, RRR, bahubali, Animal, kgf etc are not have any creativity and art in screenplay, cinematography, CG, music, cast performances etc You can say "i like certain kind of Films" but cannot say other kind of movies are not "art" when they are also putting creativity in it

He simply pointed out that india has lot more freedom and resources to take cinema to the level more than a small country like Iran can. Iranian filmmakers face political pressures and lack of support that writers or director need in their work. Despite that they earned the respect of many around the world not just negativity in media surrounding Iran.

This is why filmmakers should refrain themselves from addressing the failure/criticism of their movies without sufficient self-introspection.

As much as we love Indian cinema I think we still have a long way to go in order to claim we are the best in the world. Not just Iranian cinema we can look at Korean cinema also for how well their storytelling is in showing emotions in the most raw form

I feel, no matter how much we bash them, in the end We love Paisa wasool movies with masala and item numbers and no matter how many times we watch the world cinema, we will get back to the Paisa wasool cinema. Otherwise please tell me, why Pathaan, Gadar and Jawan were blockbusters and people only came to know about a movie like 12th fail when it was off the screens and movies like Mission Raniganj, Bhakshak and Gulmohar are still unknown to many.
When movies like : Dear Zindagi, Chak De India, 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti :- they all made records at BO. So doing bare minimum and then blaming on audience is an excuse nothing else. Just research properly, be original and for God's sake have decent CGI thats looks believable.
BTW 12th fail was a hit. The audience did enjoy that movie. Only because some people only give attention to masala movies trailers and not interested in seeing other movies trailers that doesn't mean only commercial movies are doing well.
Bhakshak and Gulmohar were released on OTT whereas mission raniganj trailers were not impressive with bad CGI.People should do the research properly which movies are releasing on ott and which is not.

The problem I find with Vanga’s defence is that he talks about his freedom to create his art, but wants to call out other people and their work, ignoring the fact that even they have a freedom for their art. Aamir khan had shown regret for the objectifying song a decade ago. So bringing that up was just another what about that, which made SRV looked stupid

When I was in school, I remember reading about Ranbir's interview in a newspaper. How he will not endorse anything that is harmful, unhealthy or ethically wrong. Fast forward to few years later, he was dancing in a Coke cola ad and recently eating Lays chips with his mother quoting ridiculous tag lines like "Isey Kehte hain pyaar". There is a price for everything. The only good people I can think of atm endorsing only things that they believe in is Sachin Tendulkar and maybe Kangana Ranaut.

According the this clip here, Abhishek initially answered it gracefully by saying "Oh, I'd love that" but the journalist was being cheeky by again and again asking the same question. The journalist clearly understood that Abhishek was kidding around the answer, he still went on to ask the question in a different way AGAIN. Abhishek tactfully evaded it (after all it was the promotion of a comedy film). Funny to some, not to others, I guess. Personal note: It's the end of the era where one male and one female lead carry a movie. The audience is maturing & developing. Journalists need to walk with the times too.
I 100 percent agree on Sandeep opinion. I understand his passion for his work and the validation he needs from all sections. I think what Sid anand was trying to say is indeed true. In my home in Village people have not even seen an airport. What he meant was 90% of india which is B and C centers don't watch movies which do not have a pull factor. And tbh they don't have exposure to Netflix or something so one can't think that they'll have the intellect to comprehend certain cinema.
Hrithik's own film with Sid, War: fared way better despite showcasing western sensibilities because it marketed it as an action spectacle! Reducing the films underwhelming performance to the indian audience's lack of exposure is a weak argument in my opinion. One does not realise what a terrible job the makers did to build hype for the film!

Siddharth Anand might be partially right that many people do not understand the fighter dog fights and manoeuvres, but even people who regularly travel in commercial planes don’t understand it. But beauty if cinema is that people still watch something we don’t fully understand and maybe go for multiple views to do so. The only problem was PR not upto the mark and little high decibel dialogues by HR in the end which he kind of acknowledged was not in line with his vision in his interview with Anupma. Nevertheless its a good movie which might age well because it shows perfectly the lifestyle of airforce officers, except for that sher khul gaye dance.

But he should definitely relax a bit.😅

What Siddharth said is true. We enjoy watching street fights and random machine gun firings. But, most of us aren't aware of the very simple and basic technical aspects of flying a military aircraft, like what is G force, how it affects the pilot and the aircraft, what it means to break the sound barrier, how the altitude affects the aircraft and the pilot. But the director should explain all these things at the beginning of the movie. Then people would definitely understand and like it.

BTW 12th fail was a hit. The audience did enjoy that movie. Only because some people only give attention to masala movies trailers and not interested in seeing other movies trailers that doesn't mean only commercial movies are doing well.
Bhakshak and Gulmohar were released on OTT whereas mission raniganj trailers were not impressive with bad CGI.People should do the research properly which movies are releasing on ott and which is not.

When I was in school, I remember reading about Ranbir's interview in a newspaper. How he will not endorse anything that is harmful, unhealthy or ethically wrong. Fast forward to few years later, he was dancing in a Coke cola ad and recently eating Lays chips with his mother quoting ridiculous tag lines like "Isey Kehte hain pyaar". There is a price for everything. The only good people I can think of atm endorsing only things that they believe in is Sachin Tendulkar and maybe Kangana Ranaut.

What he meant was 90% of india which is B and C centers don't watch movies which do not have a pull factor. Sandeep vanga is a classic example of someone who got the money but not class..He tries to make as much noise as possible with every headline,tweet and interview..But,he doesn’t realize the quicker u succeed,the faster u fall..The same ppl who has put him at the pedestal will push him down as soon as they get bored of him..
Siddharth Anand believed in fighter but what happened to it despite being a much better film then most of his early releases, I think he also doesn't know what went wrong.

Siddharth Anand might be partially right that many people do not understand the fighter dog fights and manoeuvres, but even people who regularly travel in commercial planes don’t understand it. But beauty if cinema is that people still watch something we don’t fully understand and maybe go for multiple views to do so.
The only problem was PR not upto the mark and little high decibel dialogues by HR in the end which he kind of acknowledged was not in line with his vision in his interview with Anupma. Nevertheless its a good movie which might age well because it shows perfectly the lifestyle of airforce officers, except for that sher khul gaye dance.

Can you make a video on Mr. Raghavendra raos movies as matlab kuch bhi series. Also there are many such instances in Telugu channels and events where they just anything to a women/girl in the context of comedy. I really don't understand how can such dialogues be considered as comedy and fun.
90% of Indians haven't watched Fighter as they don't travel in the plane nd have no idea what's happening in the air. Despite that the makers had to inflate the box office numbers n desperately trying to prove it success. What an irony!!

I feel sandeep’s films get more criticism because of him and less because of the film and it’s content, his personal views and comments, makes people overreact more, and maybe this is why half of the films reviews were attacking him personally rather than discussing the movie.
But I do understand where Sandeep is coming from because it's unfair to see the triggering scenes and just comment on that (as some industry people did) without watching the film and without context.

But then Sandeep’s statement only released after a long criticism on Kabir Singh. I kept telling people its a work of fiction but then criticism went for way too long, thats when Sandeep’s interview with Anupama dropped. His statements came way after all the criticism!

What Siddharth said is true. We enjoy watching street fights and random machine gun firings. But, most of us aren't aware of the very simple and basic technical aspects of flying a military aircraft, like what is G force, how it affects the pilot and the aircraft, what it means to break the sound barrier, how the altitude affects the aircraft and the pilot. But the director should explain all these things at the beginning of the movie. Then people would definitely understand and like it.
