    Hey people if you can't afford/don't want to buy elastic, you can use an old hair tie. I have the flat hair ties so it might work better! Hope I helped! ^_^

    I just wanna say thank you for showing us the tutorials. I bought a diary with no pen holder and elastic band. By following your tutorials, I did it and makes me feel "I can do it!!" Thanks again!!

    I always staple the elastic to a thick piece of cardboard (similar to what you used to make the covers of your notebooks), and then glue the cardboard down - that way you have more surface area to glue down - feels more secure to me!

    Hi, I was wondering if you can make a tutorial for adding a lock for books. I am interested in making a hardcover book and I have watched various videos of yours.

    This is a great idea :) Thanks for sharing it. I like bringing my notebooks with me wherever I go and it's a bit annoying when you have an idea and you can't find a pen or you have to look for it in your backpack.
    Thanks a lot for sharing and I'm going to do it pretty soon :)

    Hi! Thanks for the great tutorial! The pens I like are on the thick side and they never fit the loops sold at office-supply stores. I'd like to use pretty elastic to make my own, but I can't find your link for the elastic band sources. Can you help me by either telling me or sending me the link, please? Thanks!

  • @representing50plus
    @representing50plus 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well for whatever reason I couldn't get it to glue together. I ended up using duck tape to make the elastic stick to the binder clip. It's not pretty but IT WORKS! Thanks for the video.

    I just included a pen holder to one of my selfmade BuJos and an elastic closure and covered it all with an expandable envelope :) (Video coming up, soon)

    Can you do an option to add a "mobile phone pouch" so that my book is complete. I made a book covered with denim from an old pair of jeans, I sticked a back pocket at the front to hold stationary like pen, pencil etc. So all it needs is phone pocket at the back so that I don't have to carry anything else(P.S. make it heavy duty)

    Won't it be harder to write on the area above the pen holder though?? Because it makes it a raised surface??

    Also if your strapped for cash and have some old clothes with elastic bands in them use that... you will have plenty of extra and you didnt spend any money on it.

  • @fabiogenduso1044
    @fabiogenduso1044 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Perhaps it should be better to schedule it at the beginning of the project, in order to use larger boards for the cover. In this way the pen/pencil remains covered and inside. However it looks nice! Brava!

    Long time subscriber, first time commenting. Would you make a tutorial on how to make your own lightweight 3-ring binders? I really hate the classic plastic Mead binders. They are so heavy.

    • @SeaLemonDIY
      @SeaLemonDIY  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for being a long time subscriber! I need to look at options for the 3-ring metal part itself, the best way to attach it... in some cases it might be more expensive to make your own than to buy one, but I will for sure look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!

    I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the elastic keeps popping off the clip. I tried it with LOCTITE glue and then I tried it with my hot glue gun. Does it have to be a certain kind of elastic? I have some plain white elastic.
