I did the cleaning with soap water and that works great, but there are some parts where it doesn’t pick up great. I skipped the acetone step, I’m also new to stamping so still learning xD. Great video btw

So I've tried stamping a few times over the years and it might come out good for the first two nails and then gives trouble after. Initially I didn't know about priming until I checked TH-cam. So I decided to try again with new stampers, did what the instructions said and had the same issues, first one was good and then problems after.. I was wondering if it was due to cleaning the stamping plate with nail polish remover not acetone between uses(no one really mentions what they do in their vids).. Tape won't get into the grooves of the plate. I even tried waiting for the plate to dry from the nail polish remover but didn't help. So I've put away my stampers and plates for years now but I wish someone could help me figure out the problem because seems like a waste to have them there doing nothing. Thanks for the vid btw
Okay I figured out the issue dear , u have to clean the Stamping plate with pure acetone , as nail polish removers have moisturizing oils in them, they hinder the stamping , and few stamping plates are etched deeply, and the Mimute cotton threads get stuck in them at times, so once u finish wiping it with cotton dipped in acetone, use ur finger and gently rub the plate where u wiped in circular motions, this removes all those cotton threads that got stuck in the plate , and Iam sure this should fix the issue, try and let me know

Yes dear dish wash soap works better than the normal soap, as its best in removing oil & grease, please try that and the acetone as well im sure that has to work

Did u clean it with acetone.?? If yes dry to say u won't get the transparency back dear, try cleaning it with dish wash soap in luke warm water and towel dry it
Dish wash powder will scratch ur stamper head badly, try getting a small sachet of dish wash liquid as that works wonders in removing the sticky layer/oils on the stamper Head
If u use acetone or nail polish remover too much on the silicon Stamper head, it will become blur and loose its transparency, and the Stamper head also tears off because of acetone
Okay few polishes dry quick before u pick up , try with a regular polish and check whether the stamper picks dear , and try a different stamping plate too , as it's pocking at times I guess the issue must be with the stamping polish r , Few tips: 1.After applying the polish on the image swipe only twice , 2.Try different techniques to pick up , one is rolling technique and the other is a quick press with slight pressure on the image 3.also few stamping plates while u clean them with acetone and cotton the cotton gets stuck in the images,so clean the plate properly ,I had this issues with AliExpress stamping plates Try and let me know dear

If u slice it the surface will not be smooth, and hence u will not be able to pick up the image properly.. even if u turn it and use it as the other side will be flat it will be a bit hard to pick the images, and even from the other side it will still be blurry ...

Sure... Apply the stamping gel polish on the image of the stamping plate and scrape with the scraper for 4 to 5 times then press the stamper head gently, like feather touch and pick the image, If u put too much pressure in picking the image, the image becomes blurry, as gel polish doesn't set thik u cure it . . If u have any doubts pls ask, will be glad to clarify 😍

S it will work, just use the sticky side of the tape and press the stamper head on it, that will take away the remaining print on it and u can use it for the next use
My pleasure dear, also try these tips 1. If u are using a regular polish, scrape only twice after applying polish on stamping image, 2. Donot press the stamper head hardly on the image to pick up, U need to gently / or very lightly press it on the image r try rolling it gentle from top to bottom r from left to right and so on This method helps in picking the image flawlessly 3. Once u scrape the excess polish from the image , immediately use the stamper to pick the image, if u r doing slowly there is a chance the polish dries up in the image and ur stamper doesn't pick it 4. Clean the Stamping plate thoroughly after every use with acetone and a piece of cotton r cotton pad, After u wipe it clean, also use ur fingers and gently rub in circular motion on the cleant image, at times the cotton gets stuck in the image , so there are chances u will get thin threads of remaining cotton that stuck in the image , which prevents u get crisp image Iam sure these tips will be helpful And last but not least , stamping polishes work better than regular ones Donot use quick dry r fast drying polishes for stamping, they donot work
Question... At the beginning of the video you said not to use acetone to clean it but then you used acetone after you cleaned it... Why? Will the acetone not ruin the Stamper? Thanks!
S acetone tends to break the silicon stamper head, most of the stamper heads work after priming as shown in the video , if it's still not picking up perfectly, then used a quick wipe with acetone & lint free wipe r cotton, so that it takes out the oil residue on the stamper head . Regular usage of acetone on clear r silicon stampers definetly ruin it
U can clean that with pure acetone, don't use moisture based acetone as it will hinder your stamping process , pure acetone for cleaning the stamping plate is best

Just got my new jelly stamper and watched a different tutorial and that one said to lightly buff. Did that and it didn’t work. Bought a new one and found yours and it works like a charm 🤗. Time to stamp. Thank you for video!
Iam so glad this method works for u dear, it’s a fool proof method, buffing the clear stamper ruins the stamper head as it’s flimsy, but this method gently removes the tacky layer without damaging the stamper head, thank u so much for leaving ur feedback,😍😘

Later U can buy the stamping polishes from Ali express too dear Prime the stamper as in the video and try it should pick up Try different brand nail polishes few work few don't

1.Try with polish that is a bit thick 2. If the polish dries too quick it won't pick up 3. Clean the stamping plate well , so that the dried up polish doesn't get struck in the design 4. Finally try wiping the stamper head with the acetone dipped cotton/wipe with 3-4 wipes
I know this video is old but what do I do if I stamp with a stamper, it works fine, then I go to stamp the other nail with the same stamp and the second time around it won't work. It suddenly won't pick up any polish so I tried my other three stampers and nothing. So I cleaned the plate and tried again and still nothing.
as it was fine the first time i guess u need to clean up the plate well, few design etchings are so deep they need to be cleaned properly, also use 100% acetone thinner to clean the plates as the acetone free nail polish removers have moisture it hinders the pickup of the stamper , hope this helps ;)
@@BeautyBeam86 thanx for trying to help but I did that with cotton and then with a toothbrush with pure acetone and still nothing. And to b totally honest it happened with every design on the plate. They worked perfect one time then never again. I even cleaned the stamper in warm water with soap. The plates themselves r so clean they almost look brand new. I've tried it with a light touch, a heavier touch, rolling the stamper over the image, putting the stamper straight down on the image, different stamping polishes, regular polish, nothing works. I literally sat for almost 6 hours yesterday doing everything I could think of. Nothing. I have 4 different stampers and none of them worked but the stampers worked on other plates.
Karen Salveson may I know whether they are branded plates or did u buy them from aliexpress ? Cos few non branded plates from aliexpress do have this problem as the etching was not so good on the plates, only Normal squishy old stampers work , try them out , cos as u r cleaning the plate thoroughly & the stampers work with other plates , issue must b with the plate

If u r using regular polish make sure it's a bit thick in consistency, if it's tin it won't pick up well, once u prime the stamper it has to work well, don't use fast dry nail polishes for stamping, stamping polishes work best , but few normal polishes work too
If u clean it with nail polish remover once that won't be a problem, try washing with soap water in luke warm water & then with normal water as shown in video
Sorry I forgot to tell you there was paper which has written if your stemp is not working than buff it and I buffed it a few times will this idea you have gave will work
Clear stamper loses its transparency if u buff it, however it should help in picking the image, try the method suggested in my video dear, it should work

May I know which black polish are u using dear? Is it a stamping polish? Or a regular polish? If it is a regular polish it has to be a bit thick in consistency, so that it stamps well and shows up.
Oh dear I'm sry to say that it's not easy to make a stamper at home, rather I would suggest to buy one, now a days stampers even clear stamper is cheap , If u r from india u can get it for 150 to 200 rupees, if u r from any other place I can give u links to buy one at a cheaper price
Scrape only twice r only once slowly after applying polish on the plate, and don't just press the stamper, try rolling it slightly from bottom to top r top to bottom, donot apply pressure when u roll the stamper to pick the image, ur stamper head need to touch the plate very gently Pls try the above tips and let me know dear
Do NOT use acetone on the stamper! If just soap and water isn't doing the trick apply a coat of nailpolish to the stamper, let it dry and then peel it off.
Only try with a clear nail polish, if u use color nail polishes it will attain ur stamper head, And more over the damage with giving a quick while with acetone & cotton pad is much less than applying the nail polish on the stamper and letting it dry
@@BeautyBeam86 Not my experience. Acetone is way more agressive than nailpolish (which only contains a small amount of Ethylacetate/Butylacetate) . So one wipe with acetone does more harm than using the nailpolish method 10 times.
Which ever works best viewers can use that, iam not saying that's the only method u can do it, I'm just sharing a method that worked perfectly for me and dint damage my stamper in the mean time, if a clear nail polish works well, y not use it , However i did not try that method, so not sure abt it

Sure... Apply the stamping gel polish on the image of the stamping plate and scrape with the scraper for 4 to 5 times then press the stamper head gently, like feather touch and pick the image,
If u put too much pressure in picking the image, the image becomes blurry, as gel polish doesn't set thik u cure it

No dear, priming is done only for the new stamper heads when they don't pick up properly, u can clean it by using long roller r sticky tape

No dear only once for the first time r of u have issues with ur stamper, rest of the Times, u can clean ur stamper with sticky tape r lint roller

S it will work, just use the sticky side of the tape and press the stamper head on it, that will take away the remaining print on it and u can use it for the next use

My pleasure dear, also try these tips
1. If u are using a regular polish, scrape only twice after applying polish on stamping image,
2. Donot press the stamper head hardly on the image to pick up,
U need to gently / or very lightly press it on the image r try rolling it gentle from top to bottom r from left to right and so on
This method helps in picking the image flawlessly
3. Once u scrape the excess polish from the image , immediately use the stamper to pick the image, if u r doing slowly there is a chance the polish dries up in the image and ur stamper doesn't pick it
4. Clean the Stamping plate thoroughly after every use with acetone and a piece of cotton r cotton pad,
After u wipe it clean, also use ur fingers and gently rub in circular motion on the cleant image, at times the cotton gets stuck in the image , so there are chances u will get thin threads of remaining cotton that stuck in the image , which prevents u get crisp image
Iam sure these tips will be helpful
And last but not least , stamping polishes work better than regular ones
Donot use quick dry r fast drying polishes for stamping, they donot work

Question... At the beginning of the video you said not to use acetone to clean it but then you used acetone after you cleaned it... Why? Will the acetone not ruin the Stamper? Thanks!
S acetone tends to break the silicon stamper head, most of the stamper heads work after priming as shown in the video , if it's still not picking up perfectly, then used a quick wipe with acetone & lint free wipe r cotton, so that it takes out the oil residue on the stamper head .
Regular usage of acetone on clear r silicon stampers definetly ruin it

All the steps necessary dear, the dish wash soap and Luke warm water really helps in removing the oils on the stamper head

Should we can do stamping with regular polish I am from Pakistan and I have ordered stamping kit from Ali express and I have tried with regular polish so its not picking the image
In Pakistan stamping polishes r not available
U can use regular polish but it should be a bit thick in consistency
Not too runny, and fast dry r quick dry nail polishes don't work
Later U can buy the stamping polishes from Ali express too dear
Prime the stamper as in the video and try it should pick up
Try different brand nail polishes few work few don't

So sorry to hear that , just follow these steps dear
Apply adequate polish on the image , and scrape only twice
Donot take too much time once u scrape it, keep ur stamper handy and be as gently as u can and try rolling technique
Ex : from left to right / or from up to down like that
U just need to make sure the stamper head touches the stamping plate , donot put much force

Nail stamp polish is not available in my area and it’s quiet expensive 😓
1.Try with polish that is a bit thick
2. If the polish dries too quick it won't pick up
3. Clean the stamping plate well , so that the dried up polish doesn't get struck in the design
4. Finally try wiping the stamper head with the acetone dipped cotton/wipe with 3-4 wipes
I know this video is old but what do I do if I stamp with a stamper, it works fine, then I go to stamp the other nail with the same stamp and the second time around it won't work. It suddenly won't pick up any polish so I tried my other three stampers and nothing. So I cleaned the plate and tried again and still nothing.
as it was fine the first time i guess u need to clean up the plate well, few design etchings are so deep they need to be cleaned properly, also use 100% acetone thinner to clean the plates as the acetone free nail polish removers have moisture it hinders the pickup of the stamper , hope this helps ;)
@@BeautyBeam86 thanx for trying to help but I did that with cotton and then with a toothbrush with pure acetone and still nothing. And to b totally honest it happened with every design on the plate. They worked perfect one time then never again. I even cleaned the stamper in warm water with soap. The plates themselves r so clean they almost look brand new. I've tried it with a light touch, a heavier touch, rolling the stamper over the image, putting the stamper straight down on the image, different stamping polishes, regular polish, nothing works. I literally sat for almost 6 hours yesterday doing everything I could think of. Nothing. I have 4 different stampers and none of them worked but the stampers worked on other plates.
Karen Salveson may I know whether they are branded plates or did u buy them from aliexpress ? Cos few non branded plates from aliexpress do have this problem as the etching was not so good on the plates, only Normal squishy old stampers work , try them out , cos as u r cleaning the plate thoroughly & the stampers work with other plates , issue must b with the plate

If u r using regular polish make sure it's a bit thick in consistency, if it's tin it won't pick up well, once u prime the stamper it has to work well, don't use fast dry nail polishes for stamping, stamping polishes work best , but few normal polishes work too

By mistake I had cleaned my stamper with nail polish remover now it is not working what to do pls tell me a humble request
Try priming it as shown in the video , may be it might work
If u clean it with nail polish remover once that won't be a problem, try washing with soap water in luke warm water & then with normal water as shown in video
Sorry I forgot to tell you there was paper which has written if your stemp is not working than buff it and I buffed it a few times will this idea you have gave will work
Clear stamper loses its transparency if u buff it, however it should help in picking the image, try the method suggested in my video dear, it should work

May i know whether u r using stamping polish r regular polish to stamp ?
And if u r using a non stamping polish the polish need to be a bit thick in consistency and not too runny
And once u apply the polish on the plate scrape it only twice , then try loving it up with stamper
Donot press the stamper too hard, a gently rolling motion is enough to pick the image , if u press the stamper too hard it will not pick the image
And once u scrape , be as quick as possible to pick the image else the polish dries on the stamping plate
Finally once u pick the image clean theplate with cotton and pure acetone, acetone with moisturizing properties should not be used for cleaning stamping plates as the moisture will make it slippery
Some times the cotton threads might get stuck in the stamping plate, so once u clean with acetone and cotton, just wipe the plate with bare fingers to take off the fine cotton strands that get caught in the plate
Hope these points will be helpful in trouble shooting the issues u r facing with stamping,

May I know which black polish are u using dear? Is it a stamping polish? Or a regular polish? If it is a regular polish it has to be a bit thick in consistency, so that it stamps well and shows up.

I using juice nail polish
Scrape only twice r only once slowly after applying polish on the plate, and don't just press the stamper, try rolling it slightly from bottom to top r top to bottom, donot apply pressure when u roll the stamper to pick the image, ur stamper head need to touch the plate very gently

Do NOT use acetone on the stamper! If just soap and water isn't doing the trick apply a coat of nailpolish to the stamper, let it dry and then peel it off.
Only try with a clear nail polish, if u use color nail polishes it will attain ur stamper head,
And more over the damage with giving a quick while with acetone & cotton pad is much less than applying the nail polish on the stamper and letting it dry
@@BeautyBeam86 Not my experience. Acetone is way more agressive than nailpolish (which only contains a small amount of Ethylacetate/Butylacetate) . So one wipe with acetone does more harm than using the nailpolish method 10 times.
Which ever works best viewers can use that, iam not saying that's the only method u can do it, I'm just sharing a method that worked perfectly for me and dint damage my stamper in the mean time, if a clear nail polish works well, y not use it ,
However i did not try that method, so not sure abt it
