40. Athen Marathon mit der authentischen Laufstrecke
Vor mehr als 1500 Jahren wurde der Marathon-Lauf aus der Taufe gehoben. Heute eifern Sportlerinnen und Sportler dem Original nach und laufen den klassischen Athener Marathon - in diesem Jahr zum 40. Mal. Ich war auch dabei - was für ein unglaublich tolles, unvergessliches Lauferlebnis!
Dieser historische Lauf wurde auf der gleichen Strecke wiederbelebt während der ersten modernen Olympischen Spiele im Jahre 1896. Damals fand der erste organisierte Marathonlauf über eine Distanz von ca. 40 Kilometern von dem Ort Marathon nach Athen statt. Der Sieger dieses Original-Marathons war Spyros Louis. Seitdem hat sich der Marathonlauf als sportliche Disziplin etabliert.
2023 ging es zum 40-ten Mal auf die anspruchsvolle Originalstrecke von Marathon zum Ziel im antiken Panathinaikos Stadion in Athen. Der 40. Authentische Athen-Marathon konnte zum Jubiläum mit einem Streckenrekord aufwarten.
In diesem Jubiläumsausgabe vom 40. Athen Marathon gab es auch 10-km-Lauf am Samstag und am Sonntag den 5-km-Lauf im Angebot. Am Ende waren 70.000 Teilnehmer am Start für alle Laufdisziplinen..

40th Athens Marathon with the authentic running route
The marathon race was founded more than 1,500 years ago. Today, athletes emulate the original and run the classic Athens marathon - this year for the 40th time. I was there too - what an incredibly great, unforgettable running experience!
This historic race was revived on the same route during the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. At that time, the first organized marathon took place over a distance of approximately 40 kilometers from the town of Marathon to Athens. The winner of this original marathon was Spyros Louis. Since then, marathon running has established itself as a sporting discipline.
In 2023, the challenging original route from Marathon to the finish in the ancient Panathinaikos Stadium in Athens took place for the 40th time. The 40th Authentic Athens Marathon celebrated its anniversary with a course record.
This anniversary edition of the 40th Athens Marathon also featured a 10 km run on Saturday and a 5 km run on Sunday. In the end, 70,000 participants took part in all running disciplines.

Mein allererster Marathon fand im Nov 2004 in Athen statt und da war ich 17 Jahre alt. Und durch dieses Video erinnere mich an jede Ecke des griechischen Marathons.
Anschließend weitere Marathons in D ... ;)

Hallo Robert, vielen Dank für diese tollen Eindrücke von Dir. War dieses Jahr auch wieder am Start und bin total begeistert wie locker Du so einen Lauf angehst. Hast mich auch in Deinem Video bei 4:36 min. kurz "eingefangen". Pro-Tipp: Der Ouzo ist mit Eis bzw. einem Schuss Wasser um einiges erträglicher... Grüße von 16472 aus Reutlingen.
