The instrument cluster looks very high tech with the graph looking RPM gauge and digital MPH, oil, and fuel. Toyota makes the best cars. They are built to last. That is why I own one.
I drove an 82 for years. Great running car but couldn't keep it from rusting away. Great looking 82 Supra. I liked the GT-S package with the fender flares that later became the Supra
Wow, seeing the tape deck with slider EQ takes me RIGHT back! I even transplanted that stereo into my next car (I flipped the Supra in a blizzard), bolted it right to the floor of my 66 Mustang ;)
i want. so bad. its got my favourite digidash too. I'd give it a nice dark midnight blue gloss paint and install shutters on the rear windows. its my fucking dream, man
I loved mine! The digital dash was so advanced for its time. It lasted for about 15 years and would have gone even longer if that guy hadn’t run the red light.
I remember seeing this one on the lot of the dealership when it was new, this is still the absolute high point when it comes to cool gauge clusters. Today's supercars are merely emulating this on a boring and cheap LCD screen.
I had an 85 p type x( but I couldn't keep it because it needed alot of work and I didn't have the money. I was forced to sell it for 150$ to a guy who was just gonna pick it apart. He was about to drive away with it and I said "hey don't forget the title" He was like "oh yea.. ok" and just threw it in the back seat. That car deserved better.. And I still kick myself to this day for getting rid of it. If only I wasn't In the situation i was in at that time. I'd be driving a fully restored celica supra right now. Now its rusting away and I'll never find another one for sale at a good price again. If you know what you got then do your damndest to hold on to it.
Sell it to the person that can benefit from it or fix it up. I sold cars before for less money because it goes on to get a second chance! It's always rewarding hearing stories and updates on the cars I sold!
thank you for motivating me to push on. i picked up an ‘85 here in NC that needed lots of work. i’d like to hope that after i get the injectors back and the intake back on, she’ll be good to go mechanically, but we’ll see
Loved mine some cars you wish you never sold exactly the same interior but a two tone burgundy and I think different wheel arches and sunroof. Happy days
They gave me vehicles but somehow every one around me and up with it because police always kick my door in sometimes for no reason. Because they wanted my vehicles
I’ve got an ‘84 Z31, love how these cars look but I think this dash is plain compared to the Z’s and the fire alarm door chime is just looking to cause brain damage

Can't beat a classic Toyota!
I'd take one over a modern Toyota any day of the week.
Really wish i could afford one of these. There's something about digital dashboards of that era that just drives me wild!
You can find them, just super hard to find without rust...
@@pushtoyota the problem is that in order to get it i'd need to have the car itself first 🤷🏻♂️

Manual, L-Type, and Digital Dash!

I had an 83 with the auto and digital dash as my first car that I bought in High school in 1990
Great cars !
How was it?

Dream car - Traumauto! The design was awesome!
Nothing looks better than an 80''s stock Toyota

I totally agree!
Powerful six right there, especially when you rev it.
Yes sir!
Era um carro avançado em tecnologia naquela época!!
i might buy a 97 celica GT as my first car this summer depending on how things go. pretty excited
Well how did things go how life treating you 6 years on
You don't see many L ones like this. Most of them out there are the P package.
Beautifull car.
I thought the digital dash was a right side drive only option.
has anyone heard of a this car coming out stock from japan with twin turbo?. An old guy near me owns one and just has a tarp on it.
You think sportscaster Al Michaels can drive this car? He must be a Toyota buff, eh!
Ping me if you gonna sell it
No number roll effect on startup??? I’m disappointed!!!
lol its a 1982 sorry to disappoint
They gave me vehicles but somehow every one around me and up with it because police always kick my door in sometimes for no reason. Because they wanted my vehicles
is that a car unlock button in the middle of the car under the fog light?
yes it is. Some were not labeled so i didn't even know how to work the fog lamps for a while haha
Is that the stock cluster?
Yes stock gauge cluster digital

Not too sure why it’s so fast in this one. My ‘85 is about half the speed of this chime.
Best car I ever had, My 1987 turbo was faster tho.
Yes great cars!
🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
This car is still out there!
gift me that car damn :O
For sale?
Only thing i DONT like on these cars: that rear bumper...
whaaattt. I don't mind it, but i have seen just a celica gt bumper on these. Not too bad either
the bumpers are the best part... ive seen photos of them with shaved bumpers they look ugly
I don’t like the Wheels on it and no fender flairs !!!
There because it’s a L-Type not a P-Type
