You could shoot a pack of crisps and I'd be here for it!! 🤗🤗 I'm not a photographer, but i honestly love your work and work ethic. You're freaking amazing Lizzieeeeee 😃😃❤️❤️❤️😘
I love shooting cars, but my go-to lens is an 85mm. I think I like shooting with it just because it is different from what most people shoot cars with. I also keep a 24-70 and a 16mm in the bag to have options but my favorite shots always come from that 85.
I would like to hear your comment about CPLs because, quite literally, every car brand I shoot for wants their cars to looks shiny - this is coming from everyone from the client side, whether creative/art directors from the agencies or marketing people from the brands. This is why I, nor any of my peers who shoot car ads for a living, DON'T use CPLs.
After all of that, the final shot still shows an incorrect use of the CPL? And, I'm not sure the strobe helped all that much with the shot. If the final edit was a combination from multiple exposures, then a lot of the reflections could've been masked out, or rotate the CPL for each shot to see through the reflections.
She said that in this case the client wanted the car to look "shiny". I presume she correctly uses the polarizer to increase the reflections instead of remove them. It's a nice photo and I think in this case, the shininess is apparent. Whatever gets the job done.
I just went to a car show today, but saw this video after I got home. I wasn't sure which lens to bring so I had my 50m and a cell for video. It was a challenge for the photos, a lot of tight shots. I'll see them in the computer soon and hopefully get a few good ones. I have to edit them this week. Thanks for the instruction. The ending was the best! 😆
I've only purchased one filter to film a wedding earlier this year, a VND. It got stuck in its case, it got stuck on the lens, and threading it between interior/exterior shots was a bear. Magnets sound amazing.
really odd to make a car photography tutorial and then only include 1 example shot from the actual shoot... anyone can go out and find random examples as you seem to have included. but those are all in completely different conditions than what you are working within thus making everything you're "doing" in this video pretty irrelevant. am i wrong?
That was a pretty cool video presentation. There are a lot more details which should be considered in an attempt to take a decent photo of an automobile. I would have ever known before now. Thank you so much 😊
I really enjoy your content overall, and its nice to see something here a lil different aka car photography! Overall you're awesome and I am a big fan :)))
Hey Lizzie, just found your channel, some great stuff especially the editing of the layers in PS (other video). Have you done some experimentation with HDR and bracketed exposures if you don't have strobes or any other light source available? Thanks.
Great vid. Lizzie I’m having a challenging time shooting motorcycles because of the chrome or shininess of the bikes. Luckily I’m a photoshop wizard. We have a strobe setup at work with a rotating table and everything is painted white. So the polarizing filter will help? Any other recommendations? We hide behind several screens but even the screens show up on the bikes.
CAVED and I shoot cars now. Are we here for it?

Can you check my car photography? 😬

thank you! oddly enough I just started shooting cars for my company! Thank you!!!
Oh My YES! more of this. so so good
wow... I'll never get this time back.

I LOVE me an 85. Usually run and gun travel stuff I go hide in a bush and photograph the car
I actually thought an 85mm would be like a standard most common car lens
@@LizziePeirce you definitely need to make sure the car doesn't see you so you can get some good candid shots
@@gunnarbjarkiii nope 35-50mm
That was quite insightful information Lizzie I am trying to get back into all sorts of photography

Hey thanks for sharing my shots that’s really cool.
Imma have to start shooting cars after this thanks lizzie
hi lizzie
can u please make a video on light painting on car photography ?
I remember that Chris Hau did this kind of video, check it out 👍
Mistake #1: They don't shoot the Polestar 2 🤤
Yes CPL is a MUST for cars. Looking forward to the strobe video.
12:12 look at all those reflections. Looks like the "professional" had the CPL set wrong lol
An absolute Master Class in how not to shoot cars.
I'm really looking forward to next weeks video about using a strobe I have never thought about using a strobe to shoot a car. cant wait!!!
What's the "strobe with car photography" video you mentioned? It's not in the description. :(
she's comin next weeeeeeek sowy
@@LizziePeirce okay :) can’t wait
The magnetic filters look very cool. I’m guessing you have to use an umbrella because a lens hood won’t work with them
Thanks for all the tips
Love my Freewells.

Oooh, car wise I love the 85 and 70-200 as it makes the car thiccccccc

Your cell phone hanging out of your pocket, made me hold my breath with fear 😰 🤣
04:25 it look like powerful vehicle, coz it is powerful vehicle something that everyone would struggle with that volvo
There is no RIGHT or WRONG tbh, its all about your artistic vision right?
For what it's worth... I still drop my freewell filters... I'm to clumsy to fix with just magnets.
LOL I mean gravity is annoying like that
Damn Daisy!
Since when do you shoot cars? Nice video tho :)
I've dabbled but i do now!
I was hoping to see your shots. Whasup? Saw a few of Chris and others but ………
what was the obvious reason for not using the mist? lol
fondue
Cartography
one mistake every beginner car brand makes is to NOT put the name of the brand on the car
This entire video sponsored by magnets has ICP extremely unhappy.

Dear god please don’t use windex on someone’s car
What the heck kinda car is that

Me wanting to shoot cars but just taking pictures of random ones I find in parking lots 😅🥲😀
